A man was found dead with a cassette recorder in one hand and a gun in the other.

When the police came in, they immediately pressed the play button on the cassette.

He said “I have nothing else to live for.

I can’t go on,” then the sound of a gunshot.

After listening to the cassette tape, the police knew that it was not a suicide.

How did they know?
The dead man couldn't have paused the tape

A famous chemist was found dead in his laboratory.

There was nothing around him except a paper with the names of chemical substances:

Carbon
Oxygen
Nickel
Lanthanum
Sulfur

On the day he was murdered, the chemist only had 3 visitors: his wife Mary, his nephew Nicolas, and his friend Jonathan.

The police arrested the murderer right away.

How did they know who killed him?

A lonely old man lived in a lonely old house in the suburbs of a city.

He never left his house for long.

It was a midsummer, a Friday when the mailman walked by the house and called the lonely old man.

There was no answer.

When he looked into the window, he saw that old man lying in a pool of blood.

When the policemen arrived, they found a newspaper from Tuesday, 2 bottles of warm milk and one cold bottle.

The next day, the killer was arrested.

Who was the killer, and how did the police figure this one out?
The two warm bottles of milk had to be recently delivered. who else but the postman

A serial killer kidnapped his victims, held them hostage and offered them a possibility to stay alive.

They had to choose from two pills.

One was poison, other was harmless.

Whichever pill the victim took, the serial killer would take the other one.

The victim took their pill with water and died.

The killer obviously survived.

How did the killer always end up with the harmless pill?
poison is in the water

Seriously, I don't know if you're a kid or not but one thing is certain, you're a very long way from common sense.

Did the publication say what caused the crisis? Was it stated that pro-biafran students attacked other students? Well, I'm not surprised, you're just a reflection of the hate and tribalism in Nigeria- a huge reason why this country cannot work.

Yesterday, I crossed over to get something from a grocery store and this little teenage boy in charge was asking, "uncle is it true they're going to slice throats if Biafra leaves Nigeria?"

I was shocked and had to ask him who he had been communicating with. He told him a couple of customers who came around days ago told him explicitly that Igbo heads would be cut open in event of a split. Now while the words a few ill-behaved touts can't be used to generalise a whole tribe or set of people, that statement still shows their is little love left in Nigeria. We're just living on borrowed time.

This country is hanging from a precipice of doom by a thread.

Your doing it again .. Ibo man... you are reacting to what you hear and not what people are actually doing.

That's why you could not lay low when the NA came to provoke you. You can only respond to words.

When you are faced with an action... you get confused at best you react with violence.

Now your enjoying what Tinubu says, yesterday he was your enemy.

Learn from the North (all zones), the west or the SS. The SS is a perfect case study, a once disparaged community.. today has produced a president for 6 years. The SS holds the CBN and ministry of petroleum resources, and heading to 20% derivation formula. Without a single anti-Nigerian chant. Wisdom truly is the gift of the gods.

pretty princess, they are lots of books about the war you can finish in an hour or two that would give u a detailed unbiased account of the war rather than reading tens of biased comments by 15 year olds mainly product of a failed school curricula system that excludes history as a subject. The broken bridge, Sunset in Biafra, foreign journal publications and wiki are good start points

Everything is wrong with the current military approach.

For a tribe that had to begin from the scratch after the civil war and the lowest FAAC in the country, I'd say they've done beyond expectations. No city in the east was rebuilt by the govt after the war.

The North on the other hand look like an extension of the wilderness of Jericho where John the Baptist almost died of thirst.

Sanchez01:
The name isn't wack. The United States have severally adopted certain code names which are rather direct than subliminal. At some point, the U.S. military have chosen codes such as;

1. Operation rolling thunder: The code name for bombing Vietnam.

2. Operation Overlord
3. Operation desert storm
4. Operation EAGLE CLAW (How is this any different from the python dance?)

Abati was only responsible for counselling the president on media before his boss was booted and last I checked, he was never in the military.
With respect to the tension on ground in Nigeria, the name could have been a little less intimidating don't you think? After all in all the instances you mentioned the USA were fighting external aggression.

Now you just confirmed how dumb a human can be and still breathe.

Self determination you say...but threatened to burn the country...You're freedom fighters anyway not terrorists

You think that was an invasionhuh Go read about the iraqi invasion by the u.s forces

Innocent people were murdered in their sleephuh WHEREhuh So that justifies innoncent people dying right? Jesus wept!

What of the innocent policeman your fellow terrorists killed...They are self determined people after all lipsrsealed

If you're a Christian you'll know that Jesus even came to die for terrorists

In short, you're completely ignorant and stupid. You think you are being sensible justifying others being killed but you're sheer dumb! Christ died for you as much as he died for the northerners. Selah!
I didn't insult you, but you insulted yourself. Typically when someone has no point they result to insults to defend themselves. You are the one ignorant here. I don't support the IPOB insults and never will but worse still I will never give voice to a military clamp down on people who never pulled weapons on anyone. People like you sit in the comfort of your dirty homes and hide behind dusty keyboards to draw baseless conclusions about what you know nothing about.

Go and tell the innocent man that was shot deliberately by soldiers in front of his shop somewhere in Aba for something he knew nothing about.

Tell that to the innocent kids whose fathers will never return to them cos of a needless military invasion. An action that will forever live in infamy.

Why wasn't a military invasion declared in kaduna last year during the bloody killings that claimed many lives? Why hasn't their been any military clamp down on Fulani herdsman that have actually burnt the country down? What was done to those who threatened to evict other citizens of the same country from their homes?

There's is no where in the constitution where anyone is guilty of terrorism charges as a result of "hate speeches". But I guess you don't know that; the bitter tribalist you are. Even if he were really guilty do you think a military clamp down would shut up a movement like that permanently? Isn't that the same mistake we made with Boko Haram in 2009, Ken Saro wiwa in 1997 and others? Isn't it the same mistake the America you're quoting so boldly made in Iraq and libya- bringing down a stable country only to leave it too weak for a greater enemy ISIL to take over and terrorise an entire Continent?

Attacking IPOB has put Nigeria in great danger, you will see the results in a few years. It's not rocket science; it's how the world works. An idea isn't shut off by killing the leaders, it's tackled by solving the problems that necessitated the compliants in the first place. A thug like Kanu started off a few years ago with nothing but a radio and an abusive tongue, but the stupidity of the government has given him millions of followers and potentially an army. Of course you wouldn't see that cos you're too dumb to think beyond what you see presently.

Keep hiding behind Christ to support murder and senseless killings. Even the senseless army you're defending are looking for ways already to wriggle away from what they've done and you a supposed Christian still supports them.

The word "Christianity" has been abused too much by sycophants like you. The Christ I know wouldn't ask his followers to hail killings of absolutely anyone, even enemies

Britain. Without the Brits, every dastardly thing that ever happened to Africa including Nigeria would have been different

Oh shit..but they led the industrial revolution that changed the world...so I'll just go with Buhari.

Shagari would have completed his second tenure, another election would have come about. We wouldn't have had to face our first recession with you know who, face the cunning maradona, and the monster Abacha. Nigeria would have a lot different.

What is Pronouncement?
-A formal or authoritative announcement or declaration.

What is Declaration?
-A formal or explicit statement or announcement.

But hear Professor Gen.Tukur Buratai:

“You have to get it very clear. First of all, what the Defence Headquarters did was to make pronouncement. It wasn’t a declaration per se. But this has given room for the right step to be taken."

The 56-yr-old Professor Buratai, our Nobel Laureate is trying to shift the goal post but all fell flat because he was fighting with his head and heart/conscience.

I understand his state of confusion, mixed grin, uncertainty, belief that the question(s) won't arise;but it came however.

Prof.Yusuf Buratai,listen

"Truth is ever to be found in simplicity, and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things." Isaac Newton

Your state of confusion was apparent.
He would have directed these reporters to the Public Relations Dept of the Army instead of wobbling and fumbling.

Voltron of the Universe, please and please, rescind this fallacy.
What are you doing in Ebonyi, did you not hear what happened in Borno?

So how many ipob miscreants have lost their lives like this. The ipob only brought this upon themselves. These people on the other hand are innocent. What's your problem. You bloody fools keep saying it's karma. Mind you karma has no end point. What if more ipobs lose their lives. Would you be happy seeing hausa mock you. These are humans for God's sake not chickens.

You dare not call God's name if you're happy seeing people die. You're a disgrace to the kingdom. Christ died for you all psychopaths!
Pls just keep quiet!

How did a people clamouring for self determination bring death to themselves? You're shouldn't be talking about God's kingdom cos at this rate of painting truth as evil and evil as truth you already have a high table reserved for you in the depths of hell. An illegal military invasion was given a go ahead in Aba and hundreds of protesters and even innocent people in their sleep where murdered in their homes, in front of their shops, people were tortured in the most inhumane of ways are you're defending evil with God. you're completely oblivious of the religion you preach and even unaware of the constitutions stance on this so pls don't just bring God into it. It's worse than the kind of blasphemy that killed Ananias and Sapphira .
