The problem with Niger Delta is bad leaders, with some state monthly allocation they should be in the same class with Lagos and Abuja

Do you know Abuja monthly allocation? Is any state govt in he Niger Delta as corrupt as the the Federal govt. I'm just tired of hearing this Niger Delta is corrupt rhetoric. How big is Abuja? Can u compare its size to the Niger Delta?

The Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) have come out to claim Buhari's ability to tackle hunger in the land will be key in returning him to power in 2019.
I wonder if there was hunger in the land in 2015 when GEJ was massively rejected among the Arewa ''Youths''. Was there hunger in the land during GEJ's time, or what we are seeing is the usual subtle message to its youth anytime the northern elite want to lower the standard for one of their own?

You're asking questions like a learner. Even if Buhari took Nigeria to the gates of hell, Arewa youths will never back down from supporting him. GEJ didn't loose 2015 elections cos his govt was corrupt, he lost it cos the north felt he had no business ruling in 2015. They felt they hadn't yet completed their own 8 years

The reality of currency circulation in Nigeria is too painful to be released into public domain. If people gain awareness of what is truly happening with currency it could cause another war.

Let me hint you. 80% or more of Bureau De Change operators are Northerners...Muslim Northerners to be precise. Their operation in the market set policies in Central Bank foreign exchange rates. They are direct fronts for money laundering. They are in posession of so much hard currency in their vaults that don't even need the Central Bank for anything. They can wreck the national economy if they so choose. If Bureau de Change were listed on stock exchange I would liquidate all my shares in breweries and other beverage manufacturer's and put my money in their bonds. The excuse they give of illiteracy and conservatism is bullshyte, their real reason is to remain sitting on national monetray policy and currency distribution. It also factors in, amongst other things, to keep the country from entering restructure. If we must enter restructure they want it done at state level, opposed to regional level.

Very insightful. I've always had the same thoughts too

Who remembers what the lizard of ubiama, Amechi said sometimes ago when asked “why the governors asked Goodluck to pay them their excess crude revenue money instead of saving for the rainy days as instructed by the minister of finance then? " he said and I quote “the governors have lost trust on Goodluck's ability to keep money safe after the governor of central bank exposed billions of dollars missing from NNPC " I ask now, have the governors lost trust in Jubril too after series of corruption allocation against his government? Thereby demanding for the refund of their remaining 50%? I thought he was their Messiah and they trust him more than God to be Mr integrity?

Ameachi was playing politics. Most of the propaganda against GEJ govt were all lies

perfectgen:

Ufuoma, I got admitted to FUPRE 2009; during former VC Alabi's time and I can tell you that most of those projects you talk of cannot be credited to GEJ but Yar Adua; OBJ approved budget for the school and made provision for its implementation but the funds were released in batches until finally Yar Adua approved the full release; which made the spontaneous start of the project. Delta State government promised us road from the community into the school; I was personally there when Gbagi made the statement as the then state commissioner for education but they didn't commit to their promises.
GEJ never stepped into the school all through his tenure, nor did anything to encourage the positioning of the school but in his own way didn't stand against the free development of the school; however, when the issue of accreditation and signing the school existence bill into law, he was non-committal or you have forgotten the student strikes of 2012 and 2013, so crediting him for the progress so far is wrong; don't bring politics into the positioning and standings of the school as the school is far from being where it should be based on what the first VC Alabi made us believe as at time of admission.

lol.

The pace of work at FUPRE permanent site in 2010 didn't look at all like "the full funds were released by Yar Adua". Only four buildings stood there when we moved to the permanent site in 2011. There were no internal roads( those one can later in 2012 or so), the college of engineering now has a college building and four modern Labs that we're all built within 2013-2015. The SUG building, additional hostels and the PPP project before the gate are all projects that began and were completed by the last administration. A lot of lecturers in college of engineering benefited from PHD scholarships abroad, and many others. Now I hear FUPRE is so under funded salaries were cut and they can't even afford to keep their best students in system any longer

Our representatives are guilty for FUPRE not being signed into law much earlier. If I remember well this bill was passed in the Senate just a year ago so we should ask questions of our reps in the last administration, not the executive.

And if Jonathan was really indifferent to the attempt to move the school to the north, things would have been a lot different. The fact he neither visited nor addressed the issue openly means didn't imply he did nothing.

they wanted to merge it with PTI and upgrade it award B. Tech. This was at the tail end of obj tenure and so it didn't fly . Ask yourself what gej did... Nothing! The bridge linking delta state and bayelsa and the road adjoining it didn't achieve anything during his time either, a road and project that started during obj tenure.
Pls pls pls stop this! If you're not sure of something then keep your views to yourself. I got into FUPRE in 2010 and graduated 2015. I know how much the previous govt invested in FUPRE and the amount of progress the school made both Infrastructurally and numerical (staff strength) over those 5 years Jonathan was in power. I also know how much progress has stalled since this govt took over so just stop and keep your views to yourself. And if you travelled east west road from warri to PH b/w 2009 and 2015 you'll appreciate the progress on that road. That journey used to take 4-5 hours in 2009, now it takes 2:45 mins to 3hrs so pls don't say GEJ did nothing. We never even talk of Lagos Benin road

Yes, omojuwa can defend his tweet very well. He's too clever to directly insult the governor, that's why he employs sarcasm, a skill he has mastered articulately over his many years on social Media. Keep quoting the USA ignorantly. The US govt has enough bonds and assets to pay of it's debt if it wished so. The US has nearly the largest crude oil reserves in the world. They actually import crude to keep theirs for the rainy day. They have the capacity to manufacture everything they want from tooth picks to 5th generation fighters if they wished. The only import or manufacture outside the US cos building in Asia is less expensive.

On the other hand Nigeria is a broke black nation with nothing- not even a president with a working brain. Let Buhari keep borrowing, we'd soon be like Zimbabwe
