bukatyne: You prefer to pay N200/ liter than pay subsidy cabals for nothing
Sorry, you sound like someone being fed or has no responsibilities.
If Buhari has 10% of his acclaimed integrity, he would fish out the cabals and let us have peace.
Fuel hike + increased VAT = inflation in a country with more than 50% below poverty line.
Electricity is epileptic and we run gen almost 14hrs daily when we are at home. Imagine the amount incurred on a weekly basis.
Why? bukatyne, the current petrol subsidy is the BIGGESR SCAM in Africa Subsidy needs to go, for tangible devt BUT This fuel subsidy seems to br the oNLY major thing that the masses enjoy from the govt?, and the argument is that IF we save from subsidy, the money will still be stolen by politicians So it's a catch 22 situation ideally subsidy should go BUT the peculiarities of Nigeria is another PALAVA |

franchasng: No, they should continue, the day of reckoning is sure fast approaching.
Go and read history books about the war, in terms of military personnel casualties, Nigeria recorded almost equal or more death of soldiers like Biafra.
The only weapon they used to bring down Biafra was Awolowo's starvation policy through change of currency that led to starvation of Biafran children and women as a result of malnutrition.
Their only weapon was targeting civilian Biafrans, even before the war reason they went and started killing civilian Igbos living in the north just because of a military coup that does not concern an ordinary civilian Nigerian.
So they should think twice, ordinary ragtag Boko Haram militants Nigerian army can't defeat it for over 10 years now.
During the 1967 - 1969 Nigeria Biafra civil war, Biafra didn't have jet fighter or bombers to go to Nigerian side to drop bombs, they were fighting with bare hands (my uncle was among the Biafran commandos that were trained to use hands to confront Nigerian soldiers and snatch their guns to help Biafra secure guns for the war and they snatched thousands of guns from Nigerian military batallion), so imagine another civil war today that many Igbo individuals home and abroad can rally and acquire latest fighter jets and surface misliles.
I personally must make sure enough bombs drop in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Niger and Ibadan so everybody can feel the wrath of war.
Because Britain and Egypt and other foreign allies helped them, and because Biafra didn't have bombers to drop bombs in their regions so they could feel the heat, they keep bragging about the war, I think we really need to fight another civil war in Nigeria to settle all these scores once and for all so the survivors will borrow some sense and make things better it's usually kids and young men who often talk like this "I think we really need to fight a civil war in Nigeria " to prove what or achieve what? instead of planning to move forward these ones want to go back |

Chai how are the mighty igbos fallen , this present generation of igbos appear to be the weakest in the history of the igbo nation , what happened , where did we get it wrong , so much so that igbos are no where near the first top 6 positions in the country and the country still continues unconcerned weakest? what do you mean? |

NNPC has over at least 51% of all oil blocks in nigeria. So the nnpc is selling its oil to refenieries abroad at a reduced rate so that they can sell for us at 145. Let them continue abeg. because if dem remove am we wont see wat the money is being used for you know what's up nwanne nnpc scamming the country clean and cleae |

Yahoo is a menace to our society
F**k the victims, it's not about them let their countries worry
about them
It's about how this Yahoo is affecting our country negatively
It's akin to how the narcos started in Mexico /Colombia
According to them, it's the "putas gringos" that snort white
powder and not them
now see what it has snowballed into 4 decades after,
Mexico and Colombia are in trouble
it's the sane thing we did with kidnapping, saying it's the
whites who have cheated us that are being kidnapped
now look at the result two decades after, no one can sleep
even in the north in peace again
We are doing the same with Yahoo, sayinh it's "payback for
slavery"
but when it degenerates into something else (stealing of
pants and body parts is just the beginning) then we will
know what we did to ourselves
Coupled with the fact that more and more boys will be
toeing that line instead of learning skills or getting an
education
Nigerians shine your eyes |

So men if you wrong your partners, don't bother asking for forgiveness or try patching things up, it's a waste of time. Just ask for a breakup. This Man here is basically telling us they'll never forgive you and would only stick around to ruthlessly deal with you if opportunity presents itself.

victorian: God bless you.
You will make heaven
You've just nailed it, as it is.
Sighs when I was trying to find my feet in becoming someone and resourceful, guys I dated or hope to date bailed out on me, cause I was still a student struggling to find a head way in life. Back then I was as slim with a great height like a model but none could be able stand by me, through my struggles in life, even though I was ready for us to work as a team.
Since I have my business and career going for me three years after nysc, I now look chubby and all. Guys are all over professing imaginary love.
Really? Love
Sighs if not for God and my unborn kids, I will never wish to love a man, settle down and marry. That's the honest truth
May God help this generation. Almost everyone has thrown the true meaning of love to the dustbin. What we have now, is lust lust and more lust. After lust and with series of passionate moments, everyone waka to the next available person that catches their fancy. Just too bad. Only very few percentage of people practise true love, the rest is zero. Nothing there.
Good morning. it's a shame really |

grandstar: Economist always want to know whether an increase is in real terms. This is a crude way of finding out.
Let me use Nigeria's economic growth rate. It is predicted to grow by 2.5% every year for the next 4years.
But the Nigerian population is growing by 2.6%. To know if it is growing in real terms simply deduct the population growth rate from the economic growth rate. That is 2.5% - 2.6% = 0.1%. So in real terms growth is -0.1%. That means every year for the next 4 years Nigeria will grow poorer.
If population growth was 1% like Bangladesh that means real growth will be 2.6%- 1%=1.6% you have said it all |
Politics › Re: What They Won't Tell You About The New Minimum Wage (Screenshot) by Ugosample(m): 10:18am On Apr 22, 2019 |
Reference: Oga go and sit down. Typical Nigerian, always looking at financials from the expenditure side of things only. From the Gowon era and his now infamous, 'our problem is how to spend it' to the present. Nigerians will NEVER look at the income/earnings side. They will always be comparing their earnings with 'senators' or citizens of developed countries. Ask them if they produce a fraction of what those they compare themselves with and you receive 'no answer'. Police will say they collect bribe because they earn far below those in the United States....nonsense. But everyone does it. They cannot teach, treat, build, administer justice, sweep streets, run, climb, drill, carry, trade.... because they donot earn enough. Is it not work that makes money again...
That is why it is so easy for failed politicians to swindle them of power without getting any concrete, tangible return. Within the time span quoted what has Nigeria done to increase productivity and earnings to be able to give itself a raise. You can only pay yourself from what you earn. The alternative is either to borrow (to live a fake life, a life of subsidies in power, fuel, schools, hospitals, like we have been doing for decades) or steal (as you point out - from the citizens).
Irrespective, Nigerians are irresponsible hypocrites. The day we wake up and take charge of this country and our destiny being active, responsible and engaging citizens the way nationals of other countries are, then we will know what to do to change our fortunes. I repeat again. Government is just a nomenclature for a group of people whose responsibility is to organise society, period. It is the quality of the society that determines its experiences. Nigerians are poor because we have an abundance of lazy, ignorant, corner cutting citizens whose penchant for blaming everything and everyone except themselves is legendary.
Oga. Within the time frame quoted what have we done to diversify the economy. What have we done to DEMAND government organises us around alternative sources of income outside oil. Even within the sullied oil mono economy to keep up with inflation we should be producing something like 4 million barrels of oil a day, something near impossible. So where will the money to pay raise come from... I tell you.... hear this. The stripping of assets, the mortgaging of the future, the crushing of what is left of the middle class. This country is effectively slaving for government employees. you have spoken well |
