And this is not even mentioning the monies he used in building these malls were sourced from his stinct as governor. Charity they say begins at home it does not always work like that And I am damn sure he has investments in Anambra too. And Peter obi was not a paupee before getting into govt I'm sure he must have made good money in the private sector (fidelity) before govt "Charity begins at home" sounding like one of my cousins that want us to "come home to the east" to invest and stuff |

0monnak0da: You are s cretin China is a CREDITOR of the USA Has China succumbed to all the externally imposed Western mantras of Rule of law Arbitration in foreign courts and other nonsense western agendas aimed to limit sovereignty The fundamental is human capital . Japan and Germany were superpowers before WW2 both were devastated by war and fuelled by a Marshall plan which was Political investment. Those economies had a different human capital profile. Without quality people money means nothing and that is why Saudi Arabia and other oil economies have trillions invested outside their country
The idea of Asian economies fuelled by FDI is a myth. Textbooks stuff. So if we pay this bogus $9 billion investment will flow in? You are funny. Our human capital profile is the reason we do not get investment. The same reason why a devastated Germany is the top economy in Europe today with German companies Siemens BMW Bayer Mercedes Volkswagen etc Those are not products of Foreign investment
Sony Matsui Toyota Nissan Honda Mitsubishi
Are not products of Foreign investment
Without your own multinationals your country will be a B league player
India is more open to all that the West has been preaching, why is India less successful than China?
Human capital China buying US securities (which most are debt anyway ) make them an investor in the U.S. don't you know that if you buy Nigerian equity and debt instruments, you are an investor? AND YES! Asia was powered by foreign capital. When they had that crisis in the mid to late 1990s and the Western investors pulled out their investment, what became of them They were all in big shit, and had to run to the IMF Especially south Korea, and Malay and Singapore Even Germany that you are talking, do you know that it's a Chinese consortium that owns the largest individual stake in Mercedes? All these Nissan and the rest are powered by foreign capital, even though they were started by people from the country Without that foreign injection, these companies would not have expanded the way they did it's not textbook stuff, I've seen it with my eyes. And yes, India has done very well, and the foreign capital has helped them a whole lot, that they now run the IT and Health sectors China does not come close to India in that respect Their Shenzen is just coming up, Bangalore has been there long before it's just that China is not a democracy and thus can pursue people out of theur villages, confiscate land and build a shiny city You can t do that in India or Nigeria And Both China and India are too 6 economies in the world, so it's not bad I'm not saying Nigeria should pay up the money just like that, they should investigate the things and reach an amicable solution my annoyance is the general hostile behaviour of the Nigerian govt to foreign investment Nigeria will remain a $hithole for a long time if they continue like this But youare right on one thing tho Human capital is KEY |

Blonchilli: Bro I've listened to a dozen Hip Hop track from Tupac Shakur to Eminem to Lil Wayne and Big Sean, yes they're Hip Hop and all but even most times their songs tells stories that speaks to my soul bro. Tupac California or shoot em up, Eminem's little soldier, Big Sean's song about being blessed, can't remember the tittle now talked about a lot of things other than money, sex and weed. They talked about life and some of Eminem's song makes me sit down and think what life's about. Don't even mention P Diddy or Jay Z forever young. So don't defend our trashy artists like this joor wizkid sang Ojuelegba and it was good David sang Ekuro and it was also good The number one rule in business is to SELL WHAT PEOPLE WANT Nigerians are suffering, going through a whole lot, the "i made it despite all the challenges " song prevalent in NIGERIA speaks to their sub conscious mind in ways that sia, John legend and Avicii can never do Nigerians want there songs, and the artistes gives it to them the ones fooling themselves singing other things and what some of you call "make sense " songs, where are they? And our artistes are not "trashy" everywhere I go in this world, you hear naija music even in Burkina, a seven year old boy gsve me the names of 10 Nigerian songs that he really likes a seven years old. And even on radio, you heat our songs from time to time |

deebrain: People prefer the craze and the dance rather than really good music.
We have many songs that make sense -- Check out Cohbams "one hit", John Ogar's " Uncle Suru", most of Dare's, Modenine, and many conscious music artists songs.... The average youth is not interested in these so these brilliant artists don't get the boom expected.
Even from little kids... They will try to memorize word for word, Olamide's "WO" than even a "Pray for me" by Art Alade. It's a pity.
Till we rediscover our values, Op, this trend will continue. What makes sense to you could be senseless to others that's why we all have different tastes in music some people like up tempo songs, others like the slow one's at the end of the day, we will all listen to music we like and appeal to us |

There is a notice placed everywhere at the border instructing travellers not to pay a dime in any currency,I couldn't get a better picture because it was late in the night.
The beninoise officers now beg for money, unlike their previous compulsory collection ,pushing and shoving of Nigerians.
The major beneficiaries are people with virgin passports ,who ends up paying over 5000 naira just to get their passports stamped in both Nigeria (2k) ,Benin (3k)..
Everything is free , absolutely free...I guess this is one fight ,I am happy to say the masses won. you don't mean it that's good news |

atutupoyoyo2211: I'd like to say something about living in Canada or outside Nigeria. No matter how much you are taxed, if you live within your means, you will survive. I had a great job in Nigeria, i was paid about #400,000 a month, but i still left Nigeria. It took me a while to decide to leave, but eventually i did. it took me 4 years of job searching to land that job in Nigeria. In Nigeria i used to leave the house by 5am just to beat traffic and get to the island on time cos i resumed by 7am. And typically i get home about 6pm. That is already 13 hours of intense stress. Yes, my job position was more prestigious than answering security guard now, but eventually, i will not eat job title. Working in Canada is not typical like Nigeria, cos here, you cant be Lazy. But, My job is actually one of the sweetest for now. I typically work between 12 and 15 hours a day, sometimes 5 days or 6 days a week. but 90% of that time is spent either watching movies or studying for my degree, because, i work gatehouse security, and i do absolutely nothing the whole day, i mean absolutely nothing, just sitting there. There was a week i made $2222, and i almost felt guilty, cos it felt i just left my house and did nothing and got paid, but then i remembered, i am also robbing myself of 8 hours sleep, i still get about 5 hours sleep for now. But i have peace of mind. So my point is this, if you want to make the plunge to leave Nigeria, think about it, but once you have made up your mind, dont look back. Nothing good comes easy, but eventually after a few years, your Blue or red or black passport will surely make you smile than the green passport one has now. nice very nice |

nextstep: But is it not a fact that the Naira has remained stable for 1 year? I'm not a fanboy, but you have to admit this is true. Even when oil was rising in previous administrations, Naira fell in value. How they do it is another question, but it has been stable, unlike any other time - and that helps investor confidence. Seeing that your investments won't just lose value in six months because of depreciating currency. the dollar has been stable because of the reason I put up there The naira was even more stable in the last admin, up to the tail end of the admin. So it's nothing really special because the CBN as usual is burning our reserves to keep the price stable, And when oil price shakes, there will be less dollars to defend the naira with, and the currency sinks That has been the game |

maximunimpact: Last Sunday the independent national electoral commission, INEC declared campaign open for candidates contesting in 2019 general election; as politicians device means of convincing electorates for votes, sometimes lies are been told which in turn generate a lot of false reports. The fact check team at Nigeriadefender.com will be monitoring the words of politicians to separate truth from lies.
Nigeria Defender recently spotted a false claim by the candidate of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar when he allegedly said he grew up as an orphan in a bid to relate well with the poor masses.
Did Atiku actually say he grew up as orphan?
Various sources reported that the former vice president said he grew up as an orphan selling firewood, according to Pulse.ng, Presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, highlighted his rags-to-riches story as he unveiled his plan to fix Nigeria if elected.
“I started out as an orphan selling firewood on the streets of Jada in Adamawa, but God, through the Nigerian state, invested in me and here I am today”, Atiku said in a 9-minute broadcast that was streamed live on Facebook.
“If Nigeria worked for me, I owe it as my duty to make sure that Nigeria also works for you,” he said. The report was also published by thecable.ng as well as other top media houses.
Did Atiku really grow up as orphan?
According to Wikipedia, “Atiku Abubakar was born on November 25, 1946 to a Fulani trader and farmer Garba Abubakar, and his second wife, Aisha Kande, in Jada village of Adamawa State. Atiku Abubakar became the only child of his parents when his only sister died at infancy. Atiku’s father and mother divorced before his father died in 1957 and his mother remarried. Eventually, his mother died in 1984 of heart attack”.
This was also mentioned in his 2013 book titled “MY LIFE”, page 30 of the book confirmed his mother died in 1984. Atiku is about 72yrs now, this means that he was already 38yrs old when his mother passed away.
Why does it matter?
Does it really matter if Atiku grew up as orphan? Ordinarily it doesn’t matter, but it matters now because he falsely claimed it to be so. Fake news begins with a single lie and if not nipped in the bud it metamorphoses into widespread misinformation and that is why our fact check team at Nigeriadefender.com is waging a war against fake news.
Source: https://nigeriandefender.com/fact-check-atiku-lied-growing-orphan/ Buhari lied about a WAEC certificate that he does not have Falsified his age too. Yet he is president So this one will not even matter one bit |

For many women, their greatest undoing will be lack of capacity to be accountable to good reasoning. the funny thing is that it is black folks mostly that do this rubbish (like the police officer is warning them ) Even Oyibo folks who were born in the system do not act this reckless It's when you betray oyibo wonan she will show you but for black monkey women? I also honestly don't think that Nigeria/Africa will get better in the foreseeable future. Sorry for all you patriots with mountain moving faith. It's so sad. The biggest gift any Nigerian can give himself/herself is to have a trip outside, not to fellow African countries but to any of the OECD countries and have a feeling of what development/civilization ia all about. It will completely change your perspective about government, leadership, planning and service delivery. We have been been brought up to normalize utter mediocrity, that's why when you ask leaders questions they see it as affront. And the biggest joke is that Nigeria was great. Nah bro, Nigeria and greatness should never ever be put in one sentence.

As we drove through the high way, passed the Stade the France (France '98 Finals stadium) and got to the first traffic stop, our car was swamped at the sides by homeless African immigrants begging for alms, typical of Lagos traffic. The whole environment was littered with trash, and for us coming in from Frankfurt it was quite shocking. Frankfurt is sparkling clean! Asides the leaves falling off the tree-lined streets, you can't see a drop of nylon or paper on the streets. So, I called some of my guys that live in Paris to expresse my disappointment as the sight falls short of my expectation. They said we should chill, that we will be wowed when we enter the city... Folks from $hithole countries have flooded Paris and they are squatting everywhere, "il y a poubelle partous" is what you hear the French folks complaining And the funny thing is that the French govt leaves then because according to my friend Yannick, it costs more to deport them go to a place like barbes and see what shit hole citizens have turned it to Africa my Africa |
