gentlebullet: Good day OP, let me also make this little contribution........
1. There is no "Best" transport coy on the Lagos - Accra route. ABC, Chisco, Cross Country. Efex, Young Shall Grow, GUO, King Solomon's Chariots, Tudu Bmw, Circle sienna, etc Just pray that anyone you decide to board will be "best" for you that day because situations on the road changes everyday. if u board any of the registered coy, they will take care of passport stamping at the borders( mind u,there is an extra charge if your Passport is virgin). if you have time, you can still get vaccination card at Port health, MMIA the building before the toll gate, its #1000 or you pay the transport coy #500 and Ghc5 when returning.
2. Since you mentioned you will be attending an ICT training, you will probably be traveling with your laptop. pls make sure your system is clean of any fraudulent material, cos Ghana security operatives have started searching devices of young Nigerians right from Aflao, Dabala and Sogakope barriers since naija yahoo boys dey enter anyhow and refuse to use their senses.... many of them dey Nsawam right now.
3. You can search for hotels close to the venue of the said training and make reservations online( if the invitation excludes accommodation).
4. As at this morning the exchange rate in Hilla-codji (benin/togo border) is #1000 = Ghc12.40. its advisable to change money at Hilla-codji cos they often give better price if you know how to negotiate. the more you get closer to Accra, the less you get on your exchange. hold correct cash oooo Ghana is expensive!
Finally, make sure you make Nigeria proud in Accra both in the training and in extra-curriculum activities...Lol there are lots of fun to catch in Accra and pls if you like babes wella, not all the girls on the street of Accra are Ghanaians o naija gals don take over claiming land owners. so look out for the backside and the accent before you fall mugu LMAO This is good advise |

obekediamondfuto: OK sir, u can blame the man.
but just before u pass blame round, take sometime and analyse the functions of a gatekeeper, and why his role is so important so u don't blame guys that go to a cinema to watch a movie and they were allowed inside even though all of them were below 16 and the movie is rated 18+
if u still wanna blame the guys after this then go ahead. what we can blame guys for plenty.... but this is not one of them.
someone's daughter suddenly starts opening legs anyhow and u start blaming the guys entering in and out anyhow....... SMH, firstly the girl should be blamed, then her parents before the value chain system, before the socioeconomic vices, before the government then the President. it's a ripple effect and I see no "guys" space there, IMHO they are the victims afterall they will be called mobsters, monsters, wicked people, demeanors etc for eating a cake that was made open to the public and free to air this your analogy tho It does not make sense didn't the man make moves before she opened the leg. or did she just open leg and wait for anyone to enter? why is a man making moves on a woman who is not his wife? Didn't his religion (whether Christian or Muslim) forbid it? In the old days where they get caught, wouldn't both of them be disgraced? or killed in the case of the mosaic law? Men should be trained to have self control, women should be trained same. it's the stupid misogynist culture that exists in underdeveloped countries like yours that promotes excusing men and shaming women for the same act that they comitted (fornication) |

obekediamondfuto: U r very very fortunate, u should be thankful cos the remnants are very very "unmarriable" with just very very few legible and marriage -able ones.
what we see these days ehn, my brother it's disheartening and discouraging.
u can't blame the guys as well, it's in nature of a carnal man to have libido, they are all created like that.... it's the enabling ability to reproduce after the commandment to multiply...... that's the motive.
the means on the other hand, has been so saturated beyond it's natural limit..... mind u, the motive has been there from time memorial, only that for u to sleep with so many people... u might need to Wed them officially (except of course, u r not caught). so the means was strongly guarded against unauthorised access, which is not the case today.
9 out of ten ladies are willing to bed u for a few shillings..... most of them will bill u outrightly without blinking or breaking a sweat, making the means unnecessarily accessible by all and sundry.
the 1 out of the ten which translates to 10percent includes lesbians, loyal married/courting women(out of love and respect for the spouse ), loyal married women(out of love for the children), loyal married women (out of fear of reputational damage), the emotionless, the underage and unused tear rubber and the overage/ outdated what sort of rubbish talk is that don't blame the guys? ? Are you saying that guys were made not to have self control? In case you don't know, SO MANY MEN got married as virgins back in the day BY CHOICE The value system has changed, and that is really what is to blame |

OldBeer: Op if you read economics in school, you would know that the principles of supply and demand is governing that situation. It is because they have olosho men in bounteous supply, that is why it seems almost every girl is going into it. If men decide to totally ignore them, they will find another way to make money. But since there are men willing to chook, of course, there will be women ever ready to open.
To give you a simple formula that you won't forget: Olosho Men= demand pusssy --------> eq (1) Olosho Women = supply pusssy -----> eq (2)
Let's break it down by eliminating olosho:
Olosho Men = demand pusssy
Olosho women = supply pusssy
You have: Men = demand pusssy Women = supply pusssy
Solving further, by eliminating pusssy, indicates that Men demand while Women supply. This is the basic foundation of every successful market. Equation balanced
That is the sum total of the game.
So heap the blame on both the men and women. good analogy tho |

DaFlash: it all had to do with the system. Baad economy, low standard of living, and a failing or even a failed state if i must say. Similar case of example is that of the USSR states after post warsaw pact thoses states under communism were very poor thus lead to many women in those countries in prostitution and Indecency film, and men into crime. When the country is very bad people must do what it takes to survive. So dontt blame them. Blame the system of governance. you are right tho when the economy collapses, all manners of vices are expected |

PrecisionFx: U failed to factor in that most of the importers are igbos and they will decide which port to dork, Yoruba n Hausa would need to force them to bring in 30% of their goods thru Lagos ports.
SE n SS is equally very close to northern Nigeria n will deliver there as well.
Lagos IGR will fall by over 60% or more if there are 7 - 10 river n seaports in eastern nigeria.
Also Benue n Kogi can get a river port as well on river Niger so stop hoping on supplying to the north. You guys make me laugh We as Igbo folks are an integral part of the economy of Nigeria But folks like you tend to over estimate our importance After clearing elsewhere, won't you sell the goods in the market? I.e Lagos? You think 4 million residents of Lagos will just transplant themselves from their lives in Lagos to the SE overnight because of the port is now functioning ? It's not that simple |

Am an Igbo but believe me Ambode is my number 1 Governor, intelligent, humble, accommodative, proactive etc. Issues of other regional port in Nigeria has nothing to do with Lagos State. Its federal govt affair.
So my brother, keep tribe out of intellectual discussion except there is meaningful reason for it. Thanks yea yea |

tiwiex: So how does Lagos make its huge IGR? Lemme answer. The revenue from the oil proceeds might go to the FG but every related business pays company income tax and PAYE to the state. All oil companies have a strong base in Lagos. Chevrons hq is in Lagos. Same with banks and every car importer. 95% of imports come in through Lagos. Lagos bit more than it can chew. If other ports become active, so will the states economy. Then they start wooing with tax holidays. company tax goes to the FG while in one tax goes to the states. get your facts right |
Politics › Re: Apapa Gridlock: Revive Ports In Other States, Gov. Ambode by Ugosample(m): 11:35pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
PrecisionFx: There are over 5 ports closed up by FG in eastern nigeria. If all of them become functional, The population of Lagos will fall significantly in a short while and in a few years Lagos population will reduce even further.
The seaport alone bring in millions of people into Lagos alone. \ My kinsmen with this their line of reasoning Lagos port will continue to be functional, and even if there are 7 other functional ports, Lagos will still get at least 30% of all cargoes coming into the country because goods going to the north is betty shipped to Lagos than the deep south. It will develop the deep south I agree, but it will not adversely affect Lagos Lagos is, and will remain "the centre of excellence" |
Politics › Re: Apapa Gridlock: Revive Ports In Other States, Gov. Ambode by Ugosample(m): 11:30pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
Reference: And what makes the overall economy, is it not oil. Is oil found and produced in Lagos as well. Why couldn't Lagos save Nigeria and even itself when oil prices fell. Four companies and one product accounts for 70 percent of our GDP. That is Shell, Agip, Chevron and Mobil and the product is oil. Remove that from the economic equation and you won't even have a country thoughtless of an economy. The reason why Lagos is even competing with Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa is just down to politics, the kind of politics that has resisted restructuring so far.
Restructure Nigeria, devolve powers to the states, decouple the economy and watch as the GDP of Lagos will contract by 50 percent in the short term before hunger kickstarts proper diversification. There is nothing special about the economy of Lagos as long as the price of crude oil determines our reserves, our exchange rate, and our GDP. Lagos economy is special tho Saying otherwise is self deceit. that's the truth and we have to accept it |
Politics › Re: Apapa Gridlock: Revive Ports In Other States, Gov. Ambode by Ugosample(m): 11:21pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
wristbangle: Let me add to this, some people think Lagos state benefits from tax collected by the oil marketers, exporters and importers of non oil products not knowing all levies go to FG's pocket.
Whether 120 ports are open in another state, tax generated will still head to abuja. Sometimes when I see people who claim to have high degree of intellect saying Lagos state don't want other states to experience what they are enjoying especially in this aspect, I shake my head in pity. it's black man mentality that is troubling them |
Politics › Re: Apapa Gridlock: Revive Ports In Other States, Gov. Ambode by Ugosample(m): 11:19pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
Redoil: Clowns talking. Develop other seaports and see lagos turn to empty state. The fear of tinubu by bubu is the fear of wisdom Lagos cannot turn to an empty state even if we have six functional ports elsewhere That mentality is wrong and baseless. |
