Patrioticooduan: This is what you get when a country is united by a similar language, culture, and history. You live like one big family. African countries are not like this. The Europeans lumped hundrends of ethnic groups into one so that they fight each other for dominance. This way they can be easily controlled. This is what they used in the slave trade. The European slave owners mixed people from different ethnic group so that won't be united to oppose them. Today, France and England still colonise us. European countries are split along ethnic lines. Even Scandinavian countries are not excluded. Sweden is dominated by ethnic Swedes. Norway is dominated by ethnic Norwegians. Denmark is dominated by ethnic Danish. Iceland is dominated by ethnic Icelandics. Finland is dominated by ethnic Finns. Greenland is dominated by ethnic Greenlandics. Why can't ethnic Yorubas have their own country? Why can't ethnic Igbos have their own country? Why can't Hausas live on their own? What we live together when we can do better on our own? Is the US homogenous? what of Britain? Belgium? Singapore? what Canada and Switzerland? The answer is NO even the so called Homogenous people are not in the real sense of It. France and Italy were all different tribes and people lumped together before a language was agreed on and they became one Africans are just unserious people, and if you like balkanise the continent, it is still the same mess that will exist. |

Blackfyre: Awolowo was a useless leader because he provided free education to his people?
The premier of western region provided free education to the people he governed and you call it useless?
Say no more, i leave you be. He gave free education which is laudable but how did he help towards unifying the country? ? He was an isolationist Just like the rest of them back then The effect of that is what we are facing today |

I think you need to double check again. These are the ethnic groups in Ghana. Plus Ghana was formerly known as Ashanti Kingdom. There was virtually no kingdom that rivalled or was at par with them.
In Nigeria, i need not tell you the number of kingdoms we had and the ones that warred with each other before the British came. guy I know Ghana like the Palm of my hand I have lived there before and go there often There are so many tribes, but they speak each others language twi and ga an average Ghanaian can speak two to three they inter marry and think of themselves as Ghanaians first but our leaders made us think tribe first. this is where their uselessness is from |

Blackfyre: My part of founding fathers weren't useless. Chief Awolowo did very well for the southwest if not for anything for the free education.
I think if you want to blame, you should blame those who brought the military into power that made our country still wobbling in democracy. Everything was going smoothly prior to that coup. At least i can say so for the southwest. If the military had not come into power, fifty years of democracy would have done alot more good than the military.
Until we practice true federalism or region system, we will always keep having drawbacks. Perhaps we aren't ready to tell ourselves the truth in this country. Let every region or state use whatever resource at their disposal to do what is best for the people within it's region or state. This one doesn't stop Nigeria from being one. I don't see how this inconveniences anybody in this country at all or how whatever actions of founding fathers makes such unacheivable.
You spent sixteen billion dollars for power yet no power. Why don't you throw it to the regions to generate and distribute the power in whatever ways and resource opened to them since the center can't seem to make it work? Is it a must that the federal government provides electricity?
That onus is then on the state and respective regions to see how to make it work for them. Plenty things that aren't difficult to fix in this country but we just make things needlessly difficult for ourselves. your first paragraph even proved that Awo was as useless as the rest He was the one that called Nigeria "a mere geographically expression" and has always proved to be an isolationist That character is still prevalent among a lot of Yoruba folk because of the precedent he set. The first ten years of Nigeria's independence was our chance to unify and solidify the country Ojukwu; Gowon, the national leaders et al blew it. they were the ones segregating Politicians today are still doing same |

Blackfyre: When Ghana has ethnic groups numbering over two hundred and fifty, then you can judge Nigeria by Ghanaian standards.
Given the different entities that make up Nigeria plus the civil war, it's actually an admirable feat that the country still manages to hold a little of its own in the face of numerous challenges and external influences given their interests that have structured the country in a way to favour them.
Nigeria is a country with different ethnic group constantly at political struggle with each other divided by various sentiments and prejudices. It will take a very radical approach to set Nigeria on the right path. When we operated on regions was the best era of Nigeria, this federalism we claim to practice is not done to ita full extent all because of political interests of various parts of the country.
We have been at democracy since 99 and we are just about to pass a bill that will implement state police, how many had to die before the Senate found it was necessary? All because there is a distrust among ethnic groups or one political zone using it to its advantage.
Either we practice true federalism or we restructure. This system is obviously faulty. Ghana has at least 60 to 100 tribes that were just lucky to have an Nkrumah that unified them and made them see each other as the same and not different, not like our useless founding fathers that polarised us from day 1. So that's not an excuse |

AreaFada2: Dude, let's face it. MOST ladies are at it these days. NO MAN can claim his woman isn't doing it. I'd advise even married men not to be so bold to claim exclusivity. I know what I mean. Some of us are in the position to see all imaginable orisirisi.
So long you're not married, kindly accept that you're only a shareholder. Even if married, still only by Grace of God. An averagely pretty lady on social media will be hit on by several men daily: rich, poor, average, handsome, local-based, foreign-based, stingy, generous, etc.
How many girls nowadays can resist all these men ALWAYS?
Around 35% of firstborn kids belong to another man outside. All those women who get pregnant and they quickly organise wedding before belly gets big. As a man if no DNA test done, OYO.
About 25% of all kids belong to another man outside.
A late wealthy relative of mine had kids with his wife in Nigeria. It later turned out all the kids were not his. He died mysteriously soon after. Only the kid he had with a European lady abroad is his (DNA proven). His 9ja wife had all the SUVs and money to use but still cheated recklessly.
By the time many girls are 16, they have learnt that men are the easiest way to make money. Their taste only increase with time.
In terms of promiscuity, women tower above men these days. Easily. You are right |

ClintonNzedimma: it's ignorance, imagine someone up there asking if Ramos looks 32, I just laugh...When Ramos was in Sevilla, these guys obviously did not watch him.....as a Barça fan, I tend to follow our academy players, go and check out xavi simmons, a prodigy at our academy....in 6 years when he becomes an established star, Nigerians will start wondering why he looks older because of the way he groomed himself The thing is that in Nigeria, because of the sick society it is; it's not very common to see young people achieve so much. That is why falz will say he is under 28 and they will doubt That is why Rose will say she is under 28 and they will doubt Even at some point, Davido age was doubted But if a truck pusher say he is 26, he is not lying on his age. There are so many over 30s in that jungle roaming aimlessly, and struggling with no respite in sight. You really think they will be happy to see the under 28 doing far better than thry are The doubting of age is a coping mechanism for many. I don't know how else to explain it, but I'm sure you get the drill. it's a shame really |

We need to tell ourselves the truth and tackle the issues making her regress , fooling ourselves and playing big infront of other nationalities and insulting them upangan, wont get rid of the issues on the ground. Naija aint the problem , the citizens are. Even if for instance all south africans left the country for us to inhabit, it woould turn into another nigeria in no time , just like places like yeouville. We need to change our attitudes first in serving our nation and doing things by the book. Things work in South Africa because the civil servants are held accountable and are disciplined , thats where we should begin our change. You are right Nigeria is in a mess simple and short |

They are never materialistic. They have seen it all so nothing freaks them. A typical Naija boy whether well trained or not wants to have everything. This is because we lacked so much whether from a rich or poor background. We lack good roads, social amenities. It's also part of the things we learnt from our thieving leaders. God help us.
