The kumasi I schooled in which is like the second or third best in ghana Lagos, calabar, port, is a better.. But there is something I have factored that makes life worth living when in kumasi or Accra is the peace. Leaving your house(light, sec, water= peace) , transportation(3 on a sit= peace) to office(ease of doing business; no much bribes or paying people to b in biz= peace) and office to bank (no metal detector, no much of police escorts o. Bullion vans= peace) ... You are at rest in everything you do there.. You don't think of buying fuel to on generator, or buying large fuel to store perhaps there might be fuel scarcity, you don't see much street fight.. Etc.. You are at rest.. Do u get me? That is the point many of them fail to see. When I see how in other countries they are not scared of their law enforcement, but in Nigeria, everybody is jittery around them, it's enough reason to be angry |

U might be able to control a group of 50 people in a geographical location but u might not be able to control a group of hundred people in that same location. Do you know that the population of the whole of Ghana is slightly higher than the population of Lagos alone? Nigerians should learn to be appreciative and grateful. I know that a lot of things are going wrong in Nigeria, but when you visit two or three different countries, you will understand that life is not easy anywhere. It's not about population joor Liberia is smaller than both Gh and Ng, yet it is much more jaga jaga than anywhere in Ng or Gh The US is more populated than Nigeria but is more organised than Nigeria. And yes, I don travel well well to different countries to see things for myself Nigerians need to learn how to behave civil..... I base in Dubai but my brother, the first time I came back to Nigeria and visited Abuja, I thought I was somewhere in Dubai. Mehn! My friend took me around the city of Abuja and I must confess that Abuja is damn beautiful. I can say same thing about Lagos as well. I have not really been to many cities in Nigeria but I know that there are a lot of beautiful cities in Nigeria coz I have seen the videos of many cities in Nigeria like Kano, Calabar, Owerri, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Kaduna, Akure and many more. Honestly, if government can be able to fix the power problem in Nigeria, I don't think any other African country can be anywhere near Nigeria in terms of infrastructure and development apart from South Africa. I lived in Nairobi Kenya for one year and two months and I must tell you that Kenya is very far behind Nigeria. The only thing I like about Kenya is their stable electricity, though there are many places in Kenya that don't have electricity. And OP when next u want to compare, also remember to put into consideration the population of the country. I have been to so many countries and to be frank with u guys, I love Naija no matter what. I am from Imo state though. Have you been to Abidjan before Abidjan will put both your Lagos and Abuja to shame From the lights, to the superb infrastructures, to the central water system (Neither Lagos or Abuja has this) and many other things that I will rather not mention The Problem with Nigerians is that we don't like telling ourselves the truth. Accra infrastructure may be basic, but the simple fact that they are more law abiding, and are not scared of their law enforcement is enough to beat our so called Lekki etc. |

I clearly made a difference between child labour and house help system in Africa which hundreds of poor children have benefitted from. Problems arises when people maltreat and deny them of human rights and expose them to dangers. No person on earth will condemn a guardian who is taking care of child and provided him/her with education while he/her help out around the house. This model has been used on many accounts to bring children out of poverty and give them a new lease of life. There is a big difference between child labour/slavery and the househelp system. Adminisher: The Europeans destroyed Gadhaffi. Obama was just lobbied and pressured into it by Sakorzy/Hollande (then French Presidents), Merkel and by most top US politicians. They even called him weak when he was not showing commitment.
There are too many IGNORANT people on Nairaland. What do you guys know about Gadhaffi. Some of us were in university when Gadhaffi was young, handsome dynamic and doing progressive things helping to fight Apartheid in S. Africa, fighting Israel because of Palestinian land... you did not know him then because you were not born. When he was old, unprogressiv, tyrannical and causing problems in North Africa you also did not know .
Gadhaffi blew up an entire plane filled with hundreds of people over Lockerbie. You have to be childish not to expect consequences from the Europeans. Please keep wasting your sympathy for Gadhaffi or Libya if you want but I would say use God's mind to judge everything.
I don't blame Europeans for conning, deceiving and destroying the guy. If you have been in a plane with kids, old and innocent people at 35000 ft you will understand what blowing up a plane at that altitude means.
What of destabilization. The man Gadhaffi had three major plots in Northern Nigeria alone, he invaded Chad and was beaten back many times . The militarization of the entire region was done by him.
The problem with Omokris of this world is they simplify and insult the intelligence of the social media generation who don't have the brains or attention span to do research.
In case you don't know; Gadhaffi, Mugabe, Mandela, Augustino Neto/ Santos of Angola were of the same mold of anti western, anti imperialist freedom fighters of a certain era.
The lesson is that Gadhaffi, Mugabe and Santos later became tyrannical, anti democratic and they tried to perpetuate themselves in power and we're disgraced. Don't blame personalities.
Let me shock you some more. It will happen to Putin if he does not leave the scene when the time is ripe. Tell them. #Gbam |

Adminisher: IGNORANCE Omokri is an IGNORANT coward and a liar
It was Europe (France) that overthrew Gadhaffi.
Obama was a late comer to Libyan involvement. In fact, personally Obama was he most reluctant western Leader to commit to supporting Libyan rebels. All these things were admitted in Public by Gadhaffi himself. Obama (a highly evolved person) himself has said Libya was one of his mistakes. He said it clear, simple without equivication.
Hilary Clinton then a Senator and most Republicans were mounting unbelievable pressure. She went in public to even say Obama was leading from the back.
Ultimately it was French backed rebels and a French plane that attacked Gadhaffi's convoy and got him captured and executed.
Why are people who don't know always making comments. And why does Omokri find it easy to confuse half baked Nigerian youths with pea brains Help me tell these people. Sarkozy insisted that gadaffi must go. Wetin concern Obama with that pig (Gadaffi) before? |

KemjikaEme: Learn the difference between indectured help and slavery. Most children house helps are those living in abject poverty in rural areas and are placed under guardians in the hope that they get a better life in the urban areas as the help their guardians around the house. Their parents are usually given a token for the services rendered while the older ones get to control their salary. The problem of violation of right arises only when her/his wards maltreats him/her other than that house help is not comparble to auctioning and selling humans in broad day light. In other words, parents abdicate their responsibility and sell thrur kids into slavery in urban areas, collecting money for it. You see am? |

KemjikaEme: I didn't mention your name when i posted the difference between slavery and indectured servitude and the stupidity behind mixing up the two. Indectured servitude has always been a way of life in Africa and has created a system where people can understudy their guardians and become part of their family or business. Househelps whether children or adult is not slavery and cannot be compared to slavery. It can only be slavery when people are denied their basic rights or maltreated. As a Nigerian, i have witnessed numerous poor child house helps become a member of the host family, treated kindly and sent to school. Not every woman is interested in maltreating her employees. House help is not child slavery based on the circumstances surrounding it. Househelps are employed , Slaves are bought and owned! Keep your stupidity to yourself! I actually think you are the one sounding stupid here You are trying to downplay black man inhumanity to his fellow black man, with the way millions of kids are slaving away in various homes in Nigeria and being treated badly, denied basic rights, and in many cases, are not sent to school. I have seen how these people are treated and cheated, and it is a form of slavery, whether you like it or not. There is nothing to rationalize there |
Celebrities › Re: Eldee On Slavery In Libya: Those With House Helps Are Also Involved In Slavery by Ugosample(m): 11:32pm On Nov 29, 2017 |
KemjikaEme: Nothing can be compared to human slavery especially when it done by other races as a result of their prejudice against Black people. It absolutely disgust me when people try to theorize Black Slavery and attempt to give it other definitions. What is happenning in Libya is Pure Slavery which is entirely different from House helps and Child Labour. All countries in the world have house helps, assistants, nannies etc that either live with them or away from them. Child labour is another evil that equally present in most countries around the world.
From time immemorial in Africa, children and adults are often employed to help around the house and take care of younger children and usually under the care of their gurdians. Slavery on the other hand is the enslavement of human beings, the buying, selling and absolute ownership of human beings. The Househelp is employed to work and is placed under the care of her gurdians, Slaves are owned by individuals and bound to their owners. Africans should stop being stupid, slavery is not equivalent to employment of househelps!! Slavery in Libya is incomparable to any sort of indectured servitude/house help. See this guy |

Litmus: For Nigeria to stand up for Africa, Nigeria needs to stand apart from Africa but a World weaned on a diet of Africa humiliation will never allow this to happen. Thus you will have endless news and demonisation, the funding of conflict in Nigeria and highlighting of our unobtaind developmental goal, all this aimed at positioning Nigeria squarely in the mode of deprived and depraved Africa. Also the collectivisation of all of Africa in order to indirectly control Nigeria through the West's control of other subservient African nations. An example is the ongoing meeting in Ivory Coast, over Libya, where the French President dragged African leaders – none kicking and screaming but tail wagging like dogs. I bet Nigeria had to go along too in the name of African solidarity.
Nigeria should always be reluctant to attend meetings like the one in Ivory Coast if Western nations convened and lead them. French Africa should be fighting to break the overdue yoke of colonisation not us battling to join that disgraceful club. You have a point however, African leaders just don't care about the people |

No, i'm not one of those that worship Arabized berbers and White men and adore their 'beautiful thread' when they continue to treat economic migrants like sh*t. This Libyan slave trade has received an outpour of Global condemnation but an African still believe the migrants deserve the treatment as a result of what's going on in their countries which is no fault of theirs. Yes, our leaders ought to sit up but human beings both black and white don't deserve this tortue for any particular reason. Pathetic! Where in this post did I say that the black migrants deserve what they are facing You really have a problem with comprehension, or you are still very emotional about what is happening. What I have said is the cause, and the solution is for African governments to be more responsible That has been what I have been trying to say. |

There is no doubt that the conquerors always tell the story of their conquest by vilifying Africans yet refuse to acknowledge the part they played when they intentionally introduced slavery and distabilized African way of life. The problem with you is that you see the Europeans as saints and angels in their native homes and dealings with Africa. Are you trying to say Europeans don't have bad blood/prejudice, didn't fight each other and other things you accuse Africans of. Or is it because other races were not opportuned to exploit certain loopholes? Inferiority complex at it's best! Perhaps, you don't know that the Europeans influenced and fuled the aforementioned crises in your writeup. You are the one refusing to acknowledge the ignoble role Africans played in the slsve trade and colonialism. As an Igbo man, I well know how the Aro confederacy sold us out. This was told by my ancestors and passed down to us, is it the Europeans that told my ancestors to tell that story? Go to the museum in Ouidah, there is clear evidence that the kings sold them out. Go there and see Go to Cape Coast, you will see the same thing. It is a pity! I don't think you have enough knowledge about Africa and Europe. Have the Europeans and whites not been at war with each other or have not been involved in some of things you accuse Africans about? Have the Europeans tribes not harmed and fought one another? Have looked at the number of wars and crises amongst Europeans then compare with Africans? Why do you classify caucasians in absolute supremacy terms? Have the Africans not established organized civilizations and impressive way of life prior European intrusion and conquest? The Europeans knew the sort of unity between Africans that was why he orchestrated certain crises the the Hutu-Tutsi genocide through eurocentric propaganda and Hamitic hypthesis. In Nigeria, they deliberately bequeated power to people they can easily control. Most of the policies they implemented/introduced was just a way of distabilizing Africans. From the imposition of warrant leaders to erasure of republican leadership elsewhere. In the Kongo Kingdom, Europeans deliberately started off capturing people and created inter-ethnic wars amongst the local population which in turn produced war prisoners as slaves.(Read about it!) I can go on and on about how these people distabilized organized people. You are looking at Africans through the prism of european propaganda. There is no doubt that African leadership have problems but it's important to look at the foundation of your 'animal' postulations. I'm an avid reader of history too, so save me that bullshit about African a being United. They were never. The Hutus and the Tutsi had bad blood before the Europeans came, they capitalized on it. The dahomey warriors raided Yoruba land to steal black men like them to sell to the Dutch at the coast of ouidah Seseko and that other criminal sold lumumba out because they were power hungry. In French Africa, many of them are ready to sell their president out for favours, with the exception of Bénin and Guinea Conakry (i respect them for that) Only if you have a clue on how Africans are still selling their countries off for a pittance, you will not be talking like this. |
