BabaTony:
Akpabio, you are the man! A true Akwa ibom man, You have sent these good for nothing APC goons hypertensive with your projects in Akwa Ibom, each time they see your projects hypertension sets in because it was not what they expected. They didn’t get to see this one coming. Now they are all over Nairaland running from pillar to post resorting to abuse and empty rants when FACTS are there for all to see. When Oil money was used to build them National Stadium in surulere they were all in ecstatic mood, they even went ahead to even build another one just opposite it (does this even makes sense?), then it was money well spent, when oil money was used in building Third mainland Bridge when the traffic at the time did not necessitate such project, they were all over telling Africa that it was the longest bridge in Africa, when oil money was used to build the Nation’s financial district at Marina, all was well, the likes of Bimbo did not write in their columns. A whole town called FESTAC was built and handed over to them in the name of Black cultural festival that we are yet to see the benefits yet they quietly sneaked it under their armpits, Nigeria spent oil money building a national theater then there was no crying and weeping and gnashing of teeth saying that makoko is still a slum next door. Nigeria spent billions building 1004 estates and eric moore towers, when at that point, Ajengunle was still bubbling with slums, gangsters, criminals, homeless folks, etc. yet these foooools didn’t complain. Lets not even go to other states because we all familiar with the story here on Nairaland. These people have governors, the writer is from Ibadan, Oyo state has a governor, WHAT HAS HE DONE? We are yet to see. I was born to hear that Ibadan was an ancient town, yet Ibadan is still an Ancient Town! And yet these people have governors!

Akwa ibom created just yesterday in 1987 is building its own infrastructure from scratch because before now Nigeria never cared if we existed despite providing the country with its wealth and peeps are here running helter skelter questioning every move-SAD but we don’t care the Movement is on. This is the very reason Nigeria will never make headway because we have a lot of people with PHDs- Pull Him Down syndrome. They always think good things should only and always happen to them, when it happens to the neighbor ENVY, JEALOUSY, MALICE etc all pop up! How can someone in his right senses see that beautiful stadium and not call it a National treasure that should be cherished and projected to the world to see that well-built stuff can be built here in Africa. Akwa ibom is on the right track all other things will fall in place at the appointed time. Those who knew the state before 1999 can attest to this but that’s story for another day. The NEST OF CHAMPIONS will surely see better days .This stadium launch has really put some other governors on the dock that why we are seeing all sorts of write ups, columnist, editorials jumping up. This is Politics seasons so I expect more but the people know the truth and will go for it any time!
N.B. – for those who never appreciate good things, more breathe taking commissionings are coming up, so please inform your doctors to be around you that day as you watch it because heart attack can show up anytime. grin grin grin grin grin
Well said my brother, but why waste your wisdom on riff raffs whose only aim is to cast aspersion on Gov. Akpabio, these goons are impervious to reason or fact, so why waste a lipstick on a swine? their job is to blackmail and propagate their evil agenda of PHD's (pull him down syndrome) as you rightly put it.APC pays this guys to post.
My response is to keep showing them their object of malaise that will soon give them heart attack the perstigious Akwa Ibom Stadium complex Uyo, Nigeria.
Haters welcome to the Akwa Ibom State Stadium complex The most beautiful and most modern stadium in Nigeria and West Africa!

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the African champions will host Brazil in a prestigious friendly in March 2015.
The NFF says the game against the five-time world champions will be on 29 March at the new Akwa Ibom stadium, that was opened on Friday.
"The friendly match is sealed," NFF president Amaju Pinnick said.
"We began plans as soon as the new executive committee came on board and the arrangement is finalised now."
A friendly between the two had been scheduled for September 2012 at the Abuja National Stadium, but never materialised.

The two sides have only ever met once in the past and that was a friendly in 2003 in Abuja with Brazil emerging 3-0 winners.
The new 30,000 capacity stadium, in the south eastern city of Uyo, will host Nigeria's final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against South Africa on 19 November.
But Akwa Ibom governor Godswill Akpabio said at the opening of the stadium in the state capital insisted this friendly will happen.
"Brazil will field the full complement of its stars for the match, including Barcelona star Neymar," said governor Akpabio.
While Pinnick also added that Ukraine and Serbia are also being considered for friendlies next year.
Meanwhile, BBC Sport understands that re-appointed coach Stephen Keshi has not yet been given a new contract by the football authority.
"There's no contract offer at the moment, it could be revisited at the end of the Nations Cup qualifiers," an NFF official told BBC Sport.
"The decision to allow him finish the qualifications came from above [the presidency], he is working based on a previous arrangement agreed after the World Cup."
The 52-year-old had paid the price for poor results in qualification for next year's Africa Cup of Nations but was given a chance to make amends following the intervention of Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan.
Nigeria face Congo and South Africa in later this month, needing two wins to stand a chance of making it to the 2015 tournament.

Morocco will not host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations because of its fears over the Ebola outbreak elsewhere on the continent, the Confederation of African Football (Caf) has confirmed.
Caf expelled Morocco, who would have qualified as hosts, from the finals.
It did not announce a new venue for the tournament, due to take place from 17 January to 8 February.
But BBC Sport understands three nations have expressed an interest and the new host will be confirmed on Wednesday.
Morocco had been given until Saturday to make a final decision on whether or not it would host the tournament.
It had asked to postpone the competition until 2016.
Egypt has stated it will not host the tournament for "economic and political reasons", while 2013 and 2008 hosts South Africa and Ghana have also ruled themselves out of contention.

Who will step in as host? - Nick Cavell, BBC Sport

Gabon, who co-hosted in 2012 with Equatorial Guinea, has been mentioned, but they only have two stadiums available.
Angola hosted in 2010 and have the stadia and the financial ability to host at short notice.
Tunisia hosted in 2004 and has the venues, but recent political turmoil and violence at football matches might count them out.
Algeria is one of seven nations who have said they want to host the 2017 tournament and are the only ones who might be in a position to host earlier.
Nigeria has the stadia after hosting the under-17 World Cup in 2009 and a brand new facility in Akwa-Ibom state. But presidential elections are set for a week after the tournament.
Qualification matches for the tournament will continue as planned on 14 and 15 November to decide which 15 teams will join the new host country for the finals.
Up to 4 November, at least 4,960 people had been reported as having died from Ebola, mainly in the West African countries of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
