Ozonna:Its a process my brother it takes time. the project is now on FEC's Table having passed through all the due diligence we are waiting of Mr president signature on that project. |
ak47mann:The Minister explained that the federal government has 20 percent equity in the project with Lagos state having 18.5percent equity while the private investors have 61.85 percent stake in the project. no individual state govt. can own a seaport in Nigeria, Our flawed constitution does not permit it. but states can own airports but with FG approval. |
maimalari:Good job Op. This is nice, when will the stadium be completed? and when are they putting down the tartan track? and i hope they will do something about the poodle of water building up on the track area before it floods the turf. |
kel4soft:At this stage you should not be showing models of the stadium but the real image of the stadium. Amaechi recently held an APC rally at the stadium so you should have images . For the indoor sports hall i want to see images too, saying it will not cut it prove it. This is no competition am interested in that port harcourt stadium, I want to see photos of the level of completion there, afterall i will also benefit from it ,if it is completed. my home town in Akwa ibom is just a few miles from rivers state. |
Ozonna:FEC approves $1.3b for construction of Lekki deep sea port - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/fec-approves-1-3b-construction-lekki-deep-sea-port/#sthash.9rfhnZxz.dpuf The Federal government Wednesday took the initiative to decongest existing ports in the country as it approved a $1.35billion contract for the construction of a new Deep Sea Port in Lekki- Lagos State. Minister of transport Senator Idris Umar who briefed state house correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting said the project which is expected to be completed within the next four years is to constructed under a public private partnership PP arrangement on a concession basis for a period of 45 years after which it will revert to the federal government. The Minister explained that the federal government has 20 percent equity in the project with Lagos state having 18.5percent equity while the private investors have 61.85 percent stake in the project. He said “Council approved the issuance of a Guarantee to cover financial obligation of the NPA to pay compensation in the event of expropriation, war, civil disturbance, breach of contract and other event of default as per the concession agreement for the development of the port, as $800million out of the project cost is to be funded through debt financing while the balance of $554.5million is to be contributed by equity. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/fec-approves-1-3b-construction-lekki-deep-sea-port/#sthash.9rfhnZxz.dpuf If FG's contribution to lekki seaport is $1.3 billion, and FG will own only 20% stake on this project and the state and private sector will share the remaining 80% of the cost now do the maths on how much the project will cost. the Ibaka seaport is expected to follow simillar funding % but the difference is that FG=20%, AKSG=20% and private consortium = 60%. For those of you that are quoting how expensive this project is and copying wikipedia cost. seaport is not cheap if it were a $500million project you would have seen significant progress at Ibaka by now and even lekki by now Yes its expensive but not all that money will be spent at once. A deep seaport is not an everyday shallow port project. As big as Nigeria is. As of today we do not have a single deep seaport, if it were a cheap project it would have been developed eons ago. there is a big difference with a deep port and shallow ports. |
Nigeria's friends 1) Benin Republic. 2). Southern English speaking Camerooun. 3) Equatorial Guinea. 4) Liberia 5).Sao Tome And Principe 6). Ivory coast 7). others Nigeria's Enemies: 1). South Africa 2). Ghana 3).Zimbabwe Recommendations South Africa:Nigeria need to redefine its business relationship with that country to teach them some sense, MTN, protea,DSTv, shoprite and all other south African business in Nigeria need to have their operational contract in Nigeria reviewed in line with their animosity towards Nigeria. An all out economic war with South Africa is imminent, After all they stand to lose more from strained business relationship with Nigeria, since we are the #1 destination for their busineses. However, we need to be careful not to strain relationship with their sweet women, Whom we Nigerians truely love. Infact these sweet mamas are the only buffer that has been saving ZA from the wrath of Nigeria Ghana: We need to give them the russian treatment by cutting gas supply to that feeding bottle nation, Nigerian banks operating in Ghana needs to squeeze liquidity and credit to Ghana and thereby further tighten the financial noose around that broke ass country. Zimbabwe: We all wish them Mugabe and wife as president for the next 20 yrs, to make them more mumufied than they are now. |
Op i told you. To ignore the apc tout aresa AKA ekoile, he should go and show. Us what his gov has done in osun state. Just focus on showing whats happening in CRS. |
OP please ignore these APC troll ^^^ and show us the good work of Imoke. APC are big on propaganda and lean on substance. |
Nice, keep the pictures comming and send APC back to zamfara. |
Benin Republic is the best friends Nigeria has followed by southern English speaking Cameroon, Those guys were part of Nigeria at some point. their northern brothers are the ones misleading them pretty soon they will have to vote on a referendum and southern camerooun will rejoin Nigeria again Just like Crimea. The countries we should be wary of are South Africa and Ghana they are Nigerian worst enemies, They are Afraid of us and jealous of our individual business acumen and propensity to succeed no matter the odds. Which is an intangible they lack, but their women on the other hand especially the SA women we must be really friendly with because they love Nigerians and they do understand the essence of the Nigerian spirit .Other Africans we can live with. Equatorial guinea is another friendly country that i have been to a really enjoyed. they have a lot of ties to Nigeria. |
ahaika23:This is classic |
Nice Imoke is working. APC are busy spewing propaganda the only thing APC states know how to do is by bed for N50 million in Govt house and commission an incomplete hospital with no bed or any furnishing in it. That The Kind of infrastructure fayemi was screaming about in Ekiti. |
Op your pictures are not showing! |
phantom:Am perparing you for what is to come in a few months so you and your fellow APC touts can start now to gather materials to attack Akpabio like what you guys are doing on this thread and several others you have opened. While Akpabio is busy building APC is busy blaming Mr President and others for their inabilities. Akpabio is performing others are complaining. Federal Allocation + internally generated revenue Makes Lagos the richest state in Nigeria and the second richest is Rivers state Yet with all that money APC is complaining instead of performing. |
Ameachi is the problem with rivers state, if he did not allow his ego to have the best of him rivers state would have been the envy of the whole nation today. but pride has not let amaechi perform. Amaechi today cannot swallow his pride and work with a fellow port harcout boy who is the president to make rivers great, Na when him become VP for Aboki Na Him Im go fit perform for rivers people. Tufiakwa for the silly man that found himself in the government house. cant wait for amaechi and APC to be shown the way out of rivers state in 2015. |

phantom:you can switch your user name from Agbaworo to Abagoro to phantom or what ever you like but i know what you are about. you cant live down the fact that gov. Akpabio Achievement has dealt a big blow to the APC narrative. thats why several threads have been created to discredit his achievment and there is a bevy of online action to undermine his achievment including the silly write up you posted on this thread. Am suprised your principal Okorocha did not make your list , maybe an oversight. lol Well i can assure you that Akpabio has not started commissioning yet, The two internationally branded hotels Hilton garden inn uyo and Four points by Sheraton is opening its doors january 15, 2015. 428 bed 20th anniversary specialist hospital complete with nursing and allied health school will be commissioned by Dec this year and many more are coming. APC ain't seen anything yet. ![]() |
hardywaltz:Stop telling us the percentage of completion, Just post the current pictures and we will tell you how far the Amaechi has gone with the project. Why did he host the APC rally at an incomplete stadium, exposing innocent citizens to the hazard of falling debris and construction site dangers? As per not commissioning things the truth is Amaechi has not completed anything cutting edge that warrants commisioning . The few worthwhile project he completed like the model schools and health centres were in his first term while he was in PDP and sane, and since joining APC non of the remaing schools have been completed all the major road and bridge projects abandoned. Amaechi is a sucker for publicity i bet you if he had something worth commisioning he would do it. I dare him to complete the mono rail and or this stadium. |
phantom:your campaign is in vain you know it, I know it, Rivers state people know it. Rivers Is A PDP state, no matter the kind of lies you APC fan and Gov. Amaechi tell, come 2015 a New PDP governor will be sworn into the rivers state government house as Governor. And All the good works that PDP started under Amaechi will be completed. Since the gov. joined APC he has become insane and stopped delivering projects to the citizens. No matter how loud you scream this fact is not lost on the people of rivers state. |
The South South Is indeed blessed. From the magnificient nest of the champions in Uyo to the nice but yet to be completed portharcourt sports complex. My only concern is if APC and Amaechi has what it takes to complete this project that PDP initiated. Well if they dont the incomming PDP governor will figure it out and deliver the project to the people without stress. |
maimalari:when will the stadium be completed for footballing event? Not APC rally. |
![]() |
I dare gov. Ameachi and APC to complete this stadium!lol Maybe now that he has seen Akpabio complete his in style he will do it, I Hope and pray that he completes it, But going by his track record since joining APC it is highly unlikely. |
Nice, finally someone has finally posted images of this stadium. But how comes its still incomplete?did Amaechi host the APC rally in this incomplete stadium? I doubt if Amaechi will be able to complete this project, Since After joining APC he has forgotten how to complete projects. All his good projects that he started As a PDP governor like this stadiums The model schools the model health centres are all incomplete because In APC projects never gets done and they resort to blame others for their inabilities. unlike in PDP where My president layed the foundation of the Uyo Stadium and under 2yrs he came and commission it pronto, without any excuses. By the way this is a nice stadium but in no way near the class/ beauty of the uyo stadium and we in Akwa Ibom Commend the PDP Amaechi for initiating this project, Another PDP governor in rivers state will complete it next year for APC amaechi will not be able to complete it. We will watch Akwa United play at the Nest of Champions in Uyo Drive on the smooth East west road, cross the magnificient bridge over imo river that seperates our two states and watch the dolphins play at this stadium and so will the rivers state people. And by then Amaechi and APC would have been shown the way out of SS |
Ozonna:Its a gradual process that will be executed in phases. Akwa Ibom State is not exactly penny pinching state. so overtime they can fund a substantial part of the project. all the state needs if the FEC to approve and release its part of funding. and the rest will be taken care of. Just like they did for the state airport started with the basics Runway and a temporary terminal.once aircraft started landing, they are now focused in expanding the airport with a parrallel runway/taxiway, an new and bigger terminal building which are under construction and an MRO which the building itself has been completed. The same principle will be used for the seaport which is building the basic part, building the deep sea component for seagoing vessels start berthing over time the other additions will be made. Trust me i have seen the planning for this port barring any sudden twist in the political climate in the country this port will be built. the only thing that can slow this project down is If GEJ is not elected in 2015 which is highly unlikely. Ibaka deep seaport is the answer to the viability of all the eastern ports those that are opposing it know this for sure. because once ibaka is onstream Calabar, warri, portharcourt, onitsha will all use it as their trans-shipment point, where very large vessels that presently do not visit any ports in Nigeria, because of their size and the limitation of our existing ports to handle their bulk and size can bring goods for all those port in one trip and they will break the bulk at ibaka and move them to their respective end ports thereby making then viable, because issues like dredging or not enough cargo will be will be eliminated as shippers can use smaller ship and even barges to float their containers to any desired end port no matter how shallow the water draft, A transshipment point as Ibaka deepseaport will make all our existing riverport and new one viable for business. Jetties can be built in all our inland waterways, and they will all be viable because of a major feeder port at Ibaka. |
cjrane:I like the bolded, Ibaka seaport is the nemesis of the of some nigerians that want to maintain a monopoly of ports business in Nigeria! they succede for this long because the eastern flank of the country were not in position of authority to get it done. Ibaka seaport will be built, but it require men of courage and political savvy to jump all the hoops that has been layed against the project. Thank God for Gov. Akpabio,He himself is a nemisis to those against the project. All the neccessary approvals for the port has been obtained the ball now lies the the Federal executive council to approve it and release funding for it, just like they have already done for the Lekki port. If building a seaport was like building and airport, cheaper, and states could do it alone without waiting for the FG and Private investors. Ibaka Seaport would be berthing ships as we speak. The meddlesomeness of the FG parastatals have not helped the project. The first phase of the project alone which is the deep sea component without the embankment, jetties and warehousing is a whooping $2billion. The whole project from start to finish is expected to cost $6billion. thats a Lot of money. Even the FG cannot sponsor that by themselves at a go hence the tiring balancing of act of carrying the Private investor, FG and state Govt. But Gov. Akpabio has promised to be the governor that sees to the ground breaking of that project before he leaves office and i believe him because of his track record. |
nduchucks:At least its not you money or your state funds that is wasted. Its our state funds and if you call this waste, its the kind of waste we like for 50yrs from now our people will still be able to see what was done with our public fund. The big question is What is your State govenor doing with your state funds? |

phantom:Well your views were simillar to that of the APC South west propagandist, i know that most of the people that are doing the useless comparism are the APC propagandist with a vested interest in Making SS Disunited. because of the threat that a united SS will pose to their interest and Amaechi is allowing himself to be their lackey. Afterall all the resources that this country has been running on is from our land. The South West fought Obasanjo in his first term but they all got wiser in his second term and gave him their support and they are better for it today. I hope that the SS will wise up and and vote governors that will support the president for his second term so we can have a chance of righting the wrongs that has been visited on the SS for so many years, for after this chance it will take a while before presidential powers comes back to SS. |

? or is akpabio seeing a future where prostitution becomes a money spinner for the state?
