Try viewing asking a woman out like going to the market to buy some wares. You haggle with the seller, and hope to get what you want. If you don't, you walk away and try someone else.
If the seller seem a bit interested in your price, you two can find a middle ground(price floor) and both get what you want.

Women don't bite, but the rejection could sting for a while. But you don't particularly have a choice than to move on and try again smiley So best of luck getting your girl, but pls try someone slightly older who won't be an emotional vampire.

Don't worry, by the time you hit 50 the fear of remaining a bachelor will give you overnight confidence cheesy
Romance › Re: Marriage Proposal Without A Ring by UjSizzle(f): 8:15am On Nov 18, 2013
Yes, it's very necessary.

Engagement rings are are given as a symbol of the promise of marriage, eternal love etc.

It's more or less like making a deal with someone. In the business circle, a deal is sealed with a handshake; in issues of marriage, it's sealed with a ring.

Some have substituted rings for other items like bracelets, necklaces, even shoes(!) and others deviate from the usual diamond rings to rubys. There's nothing wrong with that if you aren't into tradition, but every deal must be sealed with something.

So men, while proposing pls have a care and get her a darn ring.
Family › Re: To The Men, I'm Just Wondering Why. by UjSizzle(f): 8:02am On Nov 18, 2013
I think it all boils down to upbringing. I know men who would rather cut their arms off than do a single house chore, and there are those who can perform every known task in the book.
Society has made it that it's a woman's position to take care of domestic chores, while the man takes the role of breadwinner.

I guess they think we're super humans, but if you train your boys to handle certain house chores then they'll keep up with it in marriage smiley

I remember my dad doing absolutely nada in the house as a growing child. When situations changed, he became superman--cooking, laundry, bathing us etc. You either struggle to adapt to change when things are different, or you die waiting for someone to do the basics for you.

Now, i train every male around me to handle some task.
E.g. A girl cannot pound fufu or yam when able bodied young men are in the house.
She should not fetch water when men are available.
Do the cooking when she'll be late home. Hell, I can direct my brothers on what to cook and how to do it over the phone.

Like I said, it all boils down to training. You need to teach them to work or they won't do it. If society has taught them to depend on women, it's time for a reorientation.

all4naija: Lol, bro. Is that a self-consolation? We are here to criticize for the good of all. Nigerians need to start aiming for high standard. I hope you will agree with me while looking at what are already on ground all over the country.

Christianity Etc › Re: GENESIS Chapter 3(who Should We Blame For Our Suffering Now ADAM,EVE Or SERPENT) by UjSizzle(f): 10:32am On Nov 17, 2013
All of them.
God for creating all things and placing a law. The law brought about sin.

The serpent for taking advantage of the law and deceiving them.

Adam for being such a weakling and buying into the idea of being equal with God.

Eve for being gullible enough to believe the devil.

They were willing to do the exact same thing that lost Lucifer his place in heaven: trying to take authority away from God.

And everytime we think or try to do the same thing, we suffer just as much. But I suppose with God it was predestined, so....

So true. I miss the old Damon. This lovey dovey starry eyed Damon is no fun sad

Love does mess stories up though, but love made him a better man...vampire too.
Even though he's doing it all for Elena, it has made him different in a good way. Because she cares, he learns to care too.

Teeo needs to change girlfriends then undecided cos having sex with someone else will be cheating, and coercing our holy precious into banging her will be a sin(so to say).
Get a gf or go down the less cheerful path of wanking(which i consider bad advise btw).
Errr..I tot yesterday, wen I was complaining bout her,u were saying its not her fault?well, now u understand y I kept calling her names.
That was before episode 7 made me wiser.
Besides, I still don't agree with your reason for cussing her yesterday...i mean the part about being happy while he was suffering in the safe.

I think Silas got what he deserved. All he had to do was bring Bonnie back and die in peace, but he broke his promise. Now, he'll spend the afterlife without his Amara. That's what happens when you break your promise.
TV/Movies › Re: The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Fan Page by UjSizzle(f): 9:12am On Nov 16, 2013
^^ Wrong. There is no logic in that. An anchor isn't a door, it's more like the hinge that keeps the door in place, NOT the door.

Bonnie as an anchor shouldn't be a doorway. An anchor/hinge is the reason the door is standing. Once the anchor is gone, the door falls ergo no supernatural afterlife.

I still think making her anchor/door doesn't make a lot of sense.

Amara wasn't originally crazy. She became crazy AFTER she had to spend an eternity going through excruciating pain of being a doorway-- Stefan should know what pain does to people--and because she couldn't differentiate the living from the dead. Imagine having dead people talk to you undecided

Jeremy's situation is different. He only sees people he once loved, or had a connection with. He sees people who wants him to see them/ people he wants to see. He is the one keeping Bonnie with him. Remember how Bonnie got rid of Matt's sister for him when she wanted to kill Elena? Bonnie told Matt he was the one keeping her.

Anyway, she is a dumb witch undecided I hope she suffers.
