I wonder ![]() How was your day Ada? |
Psalm 27:1-14 :1: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? :2: When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. :3: Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. :4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. :5: For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. :6: And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. :7: Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. :8: When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. :9: Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. :10: When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up :11: Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. :12: Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. :13: I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. :14: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. .[King James Version] |
WAITING ON THE LORD Read: Psalm 27 I waited patiently for theLord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. — Psalm 40:1 Bible in a Year: Jeremiah 15-17; 2 Timothy 2 With so many instantaneous forms of communication today, our impatience with hearing a reply from others is sometimes laughable. Someone I know sent an e-mail to his wife and then called her by cell phone because he couldn’t wait for a reply! Sometimes we feel that God has let us down because He does not provide an immediate answer to a prayer. Often our attitude becomes, “Answer me speedily, OLord; my spirit fails!” (Ps. 143:7). But waiting for the Lord can transform us into a people of growing faith. King David spent many years waiting to be crowned king and fleeing from Saul’s wrath. David wrote, “Wait on theLord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart” (Ps. 27:14). And in another psalm he encourages us with these words, “I waited patiently for theLord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He . . . set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps” (40:1-2). David grew into “a man after [God’s] own heart” by waiting on the Lord (Acts 13:22; see 1 Sam. 13:14). When we become frustrated with God’s apparent delay in answering our prayer, it is good to remember that He is interested in developing faith and perseverance in our character (James 1:2-4). Wait on the Lord Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer! Thy wings shall my petition bear To Him whose truth and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bless. —Walfor God stretches our patience to enlarge our soul. http://odb.org/ |

Danhumprey: No,I wasn't.Are you always this persistent? |
Our fate is determined by the choices we make. If we subscribe to a higher force who determines our destiny, the one all agree on is that we choose whether to take those specific steps that lead us there, or totally derail from it. For some will take the straight path there, some will circle a bit before getting there, and others may never reach that point. |
Yup |
Morning everyone. Hope y'all had a pleasant night. |
Danhumprey: If we were not competing, then,it's obvious he already had you.nah it's all a joke na You weren't taking him seriously, were you? ![]() |

Danhumprey: Now,this is it! What I had always dread. I knew where this was heading to. I guess Ihedinobi wins. You two were never competing. He was never even in the competition (if it even qualifies as one)But sure, we can be friends ![]() |
Danhumprey: I may not have the whole world. I may not be one of the richest men,but I'm contented with what I have. I'm just me. I don't have to be a player to make a gal love me. True love await. All I ask is for your love, and nothing would stop me from loving you.lol all you promised is love. That's like promising to give me bread ni ![]() Maybe it'll be clearer this way: I think love is overhyped. I don't believe it's the most important thing in a relationship. If i'm lucky to have a man who can satisfy everything else, and he loves me...that'll be a bonus. So you see, most guys principal mistake lies in assuming that all women are after the same things. You need to study your subject before making offers ![]() |
caseless: and why is ifunanya saying she did not come here to cook or sweep for anyone? has she forgotten she's in da midst of african men, nigerian men to be precised? she should hear the accolades the guys were rolling out in the name of tracy; 'she's hard-working, does the domestic works etc'...You dey follow people mouth? This was the same Tracy the guys said was lazy back in the Sword camp. They said she doesn't work, unless she feels like blah blah As for the Ifunanya thing, yeah it's typically Nigerian for guys to start dictating duties for her because she's the only woman left in camp. But you forget they are all in the jungle fighting for survival. Nobody should be made to do one thing and others do nothing. It's ok if she had decided on her own to do the chores, but everyman's rebellious nature springs into action when you think your right is trampled on. So abeg make una free the girl. She wasn't married into the jungle biko. |
