themodernman: There's nothing to be scared about. The thing doesn't kill now. And he only wanted something tighter And he'll want a fresh one every night By the time he's done there'll be no virgin child left in Bravoosi. Someone kill him please. |

LeonStark: The paedophile is Jorah. He's in love with Dany, but way older than her. Also Meryn Trant. Dany is old enough. Meryn Trant needs to be castrated. Did you see how scared that little girl look? |

adexsimply: That's ser Meryn Trant, he was king Jeoffrey's puppet. Remember the guy who slapped Sansa in season one on Jeoffrey's order? He also killed her trainer: Syrio Farrell Oh thanks I didn't start paying attention to the series until Season 4. Now I'm sure she WILL kill him |

olyrayy: Methinks I like the way stannis is somewhat of a villain. It helps remove sentiment from the show. This is due to the fact that he is also as bad, if not worse than the Boltons and thus, we won't feel he is entitled to victory. This thus leaves the viewers with a 'let the best man win' atiitude.
By the way, Forgive my ignorance but Does Arya have any issue with that paedophile? I don't even know who paedophile is and why she's following him around. But I'm certain she'll kill him eventually. |

kay9: Reek that rhymes with freak, gleefully relieved of his 6-inch trick, hello? Robb Stark, First of his name, pregnant wife butchered before his eyes, and then he butchered before his mother's eyes while she begged and begged for his life... Lord Eddard Stark, the beheading that broke our hearts - back when we had hearts, anyway - surely you remember him?
Its Game of Thrones; let's leave sentiments for the kindergarten. No. They died, but didn't kill their children themselves. Besides I'm more worried about the way Stannis is portrayed and less about Shireen's death (loved her though but I'm already used to seeing my fav characters die). This is not the Stannis we know, so now I understand why TheNed said a character would do something so unlike himself. The writers are mad. Period. |

Yea yea the episode was all right, BUT This is utter bullshiiit. Why in the world will the writers make Stannis kill Shireen his heir? Stannis who apparently ate glue from book bindings rather than surrender Dragonstone until Davos came with his onions. Stannis the unbeliever. Stannis! What bloody manner of character development is this? It makes zero sense. Seriously, what's a few weeks in winter to Stannis a man of war that he should surrender his child to that witch of a woman? Methinks the director of this show is cray cray and I hate the emerging pattern. Something bad-- with a nasty shock value has to happen that ends up with a woman suffering. Nah, I don't like that. They needn't have bothered with all the scenes involving Stannis affirming his love for Shireen only to come kill her for nothing! Unless emotionally manipulating the audience is the new IT. That said, I liked watching the emotion on Dany's face. It shifted from horror to admiration to love to disgust, amusement, shock, fear, resignation, relief, joy, anxiety, courage and yeah my favourite ain't even got an adjective yet The girl can act! But I don't believe we can call this taming Drogon yet. That dragon is way unruly to be tamed by one ride I feared the night'swatch wouldn't let Jon Snow inside. But I hope he watches his back and keeps Ghost close. The brothers are not smiling. Btw. Fvck Stannis. I hope he dies in Winterfell! ....In the hands of Ramsay Bolton the flayer. |

Desanta: Thanks. She was perfect for me. My own personal angel. And I was her saint. The one thing I was ready to lay down my life for. Maybe the gods got jealous and decided to punish me. It is well. You will find another love and she will be perfect for you too. And no one expects you to erase memories of your first, she'll special and always be. But open up to someone else. Pray to God to heal your wounds and when he's ready to, please allow the instrument of his choosing to administer the balm to your wounded heart. Some people know love just once in a lifetime, some never find it (tragic I know). But there are the lucky few who are blessed to have it twice in one lifetime-- you'll be one of them. Honour your wife's memory and remember she'd want you to be happy too. If nothing, let yourself live again for her. I read this a long time ago, "Love happens more than once, but never the same way." Keep that in mind |

Desanta: op I feel you. But I think your situation is even better than mine. My wife died several years ago and all I want is my late wife and nothing else. I 've seen a psychologist, a psychiatrist and even my priest without any improvement. Even with all the friends and relatives around me, I'm terribly lonely. I have had to decline some consultancy jobs, just because money means nothing when the only person you wish to spend it on, is gone. I have contributed to several foundations, orphanage homes, and helped a few strangers, but it hasn't changed the feeling. I have met several interesting people who would have been in to be with, but I already have a scale(my wife), for measuring; and as expected they never make a perfect replacement.
You will meet that person just don't put her on a scale. Let your heart lead you and have fun while at it. Search for a soul mate and not a perfect wife, which doesn't even exist. I'm so sorry for your loss You'll find someone --not a replacement, just another partner. |

TheNed: A lot of people are going to be disappointed by episode 9. Word has it something huge happens, that contradicts a certain character. Contradicts? The only thing that'll surprise me is Ramsay falling in love with Sansa |

OwerriChairman: Many people do not realise that the Op is a WOMAN. I've had to read that post again. The use of "macho" sounds very masculine, but then the OP makes mention of being approached (and make me feel needed) and being someone's "the one" and those sound very feminine. |

anonymousey: Hmm. I know what you're talking about. I feel you. I've been there. I chose success in one area above success in the matters of the heart. I've had to rethink my strategy. I am trying to find a way to meet people and BE HUMAN. I've largely forgotten how to. My poems have been my only companion day and night. www.thetravelerpoems. I believe that someday soon I will find that someone that makes it all worth it. I believe you can too. One way, I think, is to find a place where the kind of girl you'd like to be with gather and go often. Meet people in a relatively neutral environment and develop relationships and friendships. Eventually you'll probably find that one you don't want to live without. I wish you success on this journey just as I wish myself the same. Remember to smile often and let yourself go. Let yourself live and be happy. There's no point living if you can't enjoy life and that has little to do with what you have as much as how you choose you enjoy what you do have. It could have been worse but you are here anyway but not for long. You'll be happy again. Cheers! Brokenhearted traveller. Your poems are beautiful and I hope you find your 'one' soon. Meanwhile keep pouring your heart through your words, it's a good escape. |

GodMode: No one is lonely... there's an inner voice to talk to always... a person has to be internally happy to cure loneliness or just marry and have kids. No one is 'alone', but people do get lonely when there's no one to share life with. Even with all the inner joy in the world, life can still feel empty to the best of us. Marriage is a good way to cure oneself or being in a romantic relationship (as unmarried couples) as is common in this age. But to say loneliness isn't real.... |
