I think Buhari will go for the second option not because he's a coward but because Nigeria cannot afford to lose the good relationship it has with the US. All those foreign aid worth billions of dollars are worth more than a single individual.

Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe's first post-independence leader, has died at the age of 95.


He died after battling ill health, his family confirmed to the BBC. Mr Mugabe had been in hospital in Singapore since April.
He was ousted in a military coup in November 2017, ending three decades in power.
He won Zimbabwe's first election after independence, becoming prime minister in 1980. He abolished the office in 1987, becoming president instead.

Mugabe's early years were praised for broadening access to health and education for the black majority. But his controversial land reform programme sparked an economic collapse and his latter years were marked by rights abuses and corruption.

His successor, Zimbabwean president Emmerson Mnangagwa, expressed his "utmost sadness", calling Mr Mugabe "Zimbabwe's founding father" and "an icon of liberation".
Mr Mugabe was born on 21 February 1924, in what was then Rhodesia.

He was imprisoned for more than a decade without trial after criticising the government of Rhodesia in 1964.
In 1973, while still in prison, he was chosen as president of the Zimbabwe African National Union (Zanu), of which he was a founding member.

this is a result of prolonged physical and social interaction with other ethnicities as they are located on the extreme ends of Yoruba land.

their way of life definitely reflects that. same can be said of kwara yorubas bordering Niger state (Nupes), Kogi Yorubas (in a peculiar potpourri of another level), badagry in Lagos etc
but these factors doesn't nullify their identity in anyway

this Same ooni claimed in one video I watched via BBC Africa that Christianity and Islam are from ile-ife. He further argued that the word "church" was derived from a Yoruba deity "Ogun osooosi", and he seemed to be very confident about this assertion.
His desperate efforts to make southern Nigerians from different socio-culturàl backgrounds think they stem from a single ancestry has become counter productive and obviously flawed.

Ondo and Ekiti people aren’t far removed from Igbos at all. It’s no wonder Ondo people are lighter-skinned and better-looking than mainline Yorubas. Not to mention a few other shared traits across them and us.
