EdCure:
The hijab needs an outright ban. It is an attire that only reminds us of the terror and hypocrisy of Islam.
Hijab is a security threat.
Security threat, really? It's you who ooze of hypocrisy. It's hijab and oh! it should be banned because it is a security threat. Oh please come on! We have seen attires belonging to various group being used to perpetrate evil in Nigeria and beyond but there was no call for the ban of those. An example of this is the army uniform being used by armed robbers. The Boko haram male faction do use it too but no call for its ban. I am not advocating for such because it's not of significance.

Banning hijab or whatever will not return peace to Nigeria neither will it eradicate or minimize terrorism. We need to open our minds to better solutions and not hypocritical and bias notions.

What happen if the hijab is banned (which is impossible) and their stupid acts of ignorance and idiocy refuse to cease? Then we keep banning whatever till people go naked?

I hate it when people think it's right for millions to be punished for the sins of tens. This is ungodly and against human conscience.

We need to change our orientation and we need not to let bad people rule our emotions.

Plus if you had read the content of the post and not just the title, you would have known your comment is not in-line.

Many behave and talk senselessly on this platform simply because it's faceless.

I really feek like wishing you the same, alongside your family and friends and let's see if you can say Amen to it but it will equally be insane on my part to wanna pull your innocent family and friends into your BS. Neither can I even wish you the same because your innocent future wife will have a share.

People like you are so free to talk carelessly because most careless talks gather more likes.

When it comes to marriage, even your enemy should be wished well.

Things happen, but I still refuse to believe anyone will go into marriage with an intention of backing out soon. Being celebrities never turned them to rocks, they are still flesh and blood.

What I said first time holds; be a person of character , understand marriage and have a vision for your home. Find someone who is mature and understanding . She should hopefully be of like mind , or at least grasp your vision and embrace it. It's that, and a studied commitment to the union - from you both - that will mean you skip over any hurdles.
Brother, you killed it with those points.

...almost all the woes and issues you hear about in marriage will stem from character, understanding or vision. Get those right and half-arsed reasons and sorry-ass excuses will be far from you...

IslamRe: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by ummsulaym(f): 7:35am On May 01, 2016
To believe in Qadar(Destiny- whether it looks good or bad) is one of the cardinal aspects of Faith. The Muslim is quick to attribute any mishap or misfortune that has taken place to have taken place bi idhnillaah(by the permission of Allaah). I noticed it isn't same to some religions, mishaps are totally linked to the devil's handiwork while feats and prosperity are a manifestation of God's Plans for man, even in the hospital settings it is easier to convince a Muslim family when they lose relatives than a non Muslim family. It took hours convincing this fellow this patient is dead, all he could muster was that the devil is a liar and that God's plans and purpose for the now deceased haven't been fulfilled, the relatives called one of the spiritual heads to come pray for someone who is already pronounced clinically dead. This is what happens when the Da'wah of a religion is based on prosperities rather than realities.

The news of death isn't a pleasing one though and only the one who is bereaved knows how devastating it is but the solace is always Allaah has willed and He does as He wills and indeed we are from Him and to Him is our eventual return. Death is one of the great trials of life and we shall all be tried. May Allaah find us patient and totally accepting His Will.

Alhamdulillaah, we are Muslims and I ask Allaah to safeguard our Eemaan and guide our friends or relatives who haven't yet found guidance to the Deen of Islaam upon the Sunnah of the Prophet and the methodology of his righteous predecessors.

IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by ummsulaym(f):
Good Lord!

Can't believe I have this much time to spare for celebrities' gist.

Although the people involved are non Muslims and their circumstances can hardly relate directly to Muslims' but still, there was so much to learn from it of which number one to me is, don't go ahead with marriage because "I must marry" when there is a major fault spotted in your spouse to be, a kind of fault you know you won't put up with in the long run but because you told yourself "he will change", " no body is perfect " et al.

Yes, change is a constant thing and no human above it but make sure you are ready to endure it if the change doesn't occur. Nobody is perfect but make sure his/her imperfections is 'copable'.

People usually give list of the ingredients they want in their homes but mine has always been two - compatibility and understanding. Love can exist without those two but those two's existence is accompanied by true love and those two help one stand the test of time save God have planned something really different for the two.

Another lesson learnt:
Society, culture, people's talk will drive a lot to their graves.
May Allah distant talaq from us and us from talaq but when that becomes solution, then it is. Stretching it unnecessarily will amount to greater defect especially when it will still happen anyway.

Just like teebillz and tiwa saga, a close one's dirty linen was washed in the 'community square' each of the couple explaining to who cares to listen, why they have to part ways. Now this is a shameful and disgraceful thing. They would have been able to do this honourably, early enough with 'irreconcilable differences' being all they owe whoever 'cares' to know why.
Beauty of Islam, you can still return to each other within the limits set but this grace might be jeopardized the moment you give people CCTV to watch your lives with.

Another thing is some brothers earning 50k monthly want to settle with a sister whose monthly pocket money almost double his salary. Brother, there are still such good sisters though but ehm, Khadija r.a wasn't cloned nor photocopied. We need to be more realistic.

And to sisters, if you are a salafi, don't marry a staunch Sufi, Shi'a and vice versa. This has nothing to do with sectarianism but your marital success. The differences in opinions and ways of practice is a WIDE margin. People who don't really know about their practices have no problem with this but if you are a Shi'a and you really KNOW it, leave the Salafi brother who KNOWS it too, and vice versa. This is a huge incompatibility. We hear things like, 'haba one can change the other na' but egbon mi, that's a rare happening if the two really, like really understand what they do.

And other examples of huge incompatibilities follow...

No home or marriage is perfect. Even couples of over 50 years who are still very much together have many sad episodes and went through tough phases but they were only able to scale through because their differences are endurable. Some differences are not bearable.

The good news is the medicine is there "ISLAM" we have the Qur'an, hadith and the seerah of the family life of the salafiyyoon lead by Habibullah, salallahu alayhi wassalam but we always don't know which particular medicine to use for one illness or we don't know the right dosage.

In a nutshell, regardless of the inevitabilities in marriages, we need to lay a good foundation first, then struggle with what follows. Getting married is one, staying married is another aluta. Yes, I believe in qadar just as I believe in freewill.

May Allah help every student of this eternal college 'nikkah' and may it be an accelerator of speed to jannah.

4th Jumadal Akheerah, 1437AH(13th March, 2016CE)

Alhamdulillaah wassalaatu wassallam 'alaa Rasoolillaah,
Wa ba'd.
The greatest blessing of Allaah upon us is that He guided us towards Islaam and freed us from Kufr, towards the Sunnah freed us Bid'at, towards Tawheed and freed us from Shirk...All these feats wouldn't have been achieved had Allaah never guided us.

Ikhwaan, our good deeds should not fill us with pride, but rather it should make us more humble and thankful to Allaah, we should never be full of ourselves or be immersed in self aggrandizement or self admiration, rather we should continuously pray for firmness till death. Many are those who were upon correctness and the distance between them and death is just near and they do deeds that will take them to Jahannam, there are others who were initially upon error and as death approached they were guided to goodness, this is well documented in an authentic hadith.

Alhamdulillaah we are Salafiyyoon today bi idhnillaah, we pray we return to Allaah upon this blessed Manhaj. May we return to Allaah as those He is pleased with.

Can one possibly hold unto an object with the molar teeth firmly and try to hold firmly unto another object with any other teeth?...
One will find out that either one falls off or the two will not be well held in the mouth, hence they fall off soon. This is exactly what happens when one holds unto the Sunnah firmly, One definitely won't be able to hold unto innovations...

The foremost Sahaabi Irbaad Ibn Saariyah(Radiyallaahu 'anhu) said, “The Messenger of Allaah gave us a sermon which frightened the hearts and caused the eyes to shed tears. So we said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah! [it is as if it is a farewell sermon] so advise us.’ He said, ‘I advise you to fear Allaah and to hear and obey even if an Abyssinian slave were to rule over you. For surely, he who lives from amongst you will see much differing, so it is upon you to be upon my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs. Hold unto it with your back molar teeth and beware of newly invented matters, for verily, every newly invented matter is an innovation, and all innovation is misguidance.’”

A message: Do not spend a lot of time talking about Islaamic songs (Nasheed) and those who sing them, because about 80% of them have added musical tunes and instruments and celebrations have turned into musical parties evilly influencing girls.

Shaykh Al-Albaani was looking for the biography of a female narrator of Hadeeth whose name was Hassaanah, and he exhausted himself until he finally found her biography. He was informed the following day that his wife gave birth to a new born girl and so he named her Hassaanah.

So and so sins and nothing happens to him and Allaah still gives him wealth: Abu 'Ali Ar-Rawthbaari said: "It is a deception for one to sin and when Allaah treats him well he refrains from repentance believing that he is being forgiven and won't be punished."

Favoring others in matters related to worship is a detailed matter: The saying of some scholars that it is not permissible for one to favor others over himself when it comes to acts of obedience is not sound because 'Aa'ishah favored 'Umar to be buried in her house instead of her next to the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. FAJR REMINDER: CALLS FOR NO DOUBT
By: Umm Affan
Jumada Al-Awwal 15, 1437 (23-Feb-2016)

Won’t one be taken aback when a Muslim is in doubt and mixes ‘Eeman (Islamic Monotheism) with Kufr (Polytheism and Idolatry)? I have seen Muslims that keenly argue that, both the Muslims and non-Muslims are worshipping the same God. However, it is clear that they are worshipping ‘false gods.’ Pathetically, these Muslims even do say it is impossible that all who died upon any other religion (besides Islam) will be in Hell. What a wrong creed! The fact is, all the Prophets came with One Message which is Islamic Monotheism; the worship of Allah Alone without associating partners with Him. Allah says: “He (Allah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He ordained for Nuh, and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for Ibrahim, Musa, and ‘Iesa...” Surah Ash-Shurah (42): 13].

By Allah! Any Muslim who fails to consider the disbelievers as disbelievers or he is in doubt whether they are disbelievers or consider them to be on the truth, such a person has nullifies his Islam because his creed is incongruous to Allah’s Saying that: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” [Surah Al-Imran (3): 85]. Sincerely, care must be really taken not to fall out of Islam.

I beseech Allah to help us safeguard our ‘Eeman.

How do people ever feel comfortable blocking major roads or access to major roads, streets when engaged in some pomp? How do we comfortably do that? This madness has even crept into the religious circles, roads are blocked at will because we have Salaatul Jumu'ah to observe or we have marriages etc to conduct, do people really seek nearness to the Creator while causing public nuisance and creating disturbance in the community we live?
As a matter of fact I think we are largely inconsiderate people, we may appear harmless but engage in very harmful practices in the name of God, a concept largely abused in this "religious" society. Don't blame the Shee'ah while we ourselves engage in the same atrocity we have always condemned...One was stuck yesterday for a long while just because a group of Muslims decided to lay siege on a major road motorists and pedestrians ply. I thought of these - What if a doctor is needed urgently in the hospital to attend to a patient in coma, what if a comatose patient is being transported via that route to the hospital or a pregnant woman is suffering the pangs of labour? What if.......? I don't think perpetrators earn rewards for playing a major role in disasters except that they also share part of the wages for causing discomfort and harm. It is a crazy society though, while some avert disasters, others create avenues for them. Which can you beat your chest to? I don't think a Muslim should ever harm others in any way or through any means.

Perhaps if the police uniform will be banned too since we've heard series of cases where the robbers are dressed in the police uniform. Just like asking the children or unmarried ones in general to stop reading the bible because it contains "songs of Solomon" in it.

Even in France, there are still hijabis not to talk of Nigeria. Banning hijab is a lost battle even before it's started.

Besides, let's assume they were able to do so and the bombing saga persist(after all, it was done before and even still, without tarnishing hijab), perhaps they will opt for mini skirts, oleku wrapping style and three quarter and if it continues, we will then be forced to walk on pants and tops above the navel!

I certainly don't know where the discussion started and where it's heading but judging by just vedaxcool's writeup (shared) above and your reply, I think we have a similar thinking line with regards to the 'stuff' whereas my sister is more comfortable with the points VedaxCool highlighted. Allahu 'alam

My point is this, if you folks fail to listen to Quran lesson on this subject you have a long way to go. The thing is muslims are the target especially muslima. Sooner or later, in the months and years ahead, muslims will voluntarily give up their rights for security. Notice my words. You will see muslims who will agree that hijab, burqa etc should be banned or searched in the name of security. Those muslims who will do that will be very silly.
it's happening already, big time and especially in this part of the country.
I dare anyone touches my wife to lift her hijab. My first attempt is to ask for a search warrant (which is legally impossible without probable cause). If you have no search warrant, then hands off me and my wife. Simple.
Still smiling at that.

The earlier you people understand the better. They know where and who BH are. If you dont believe that, that's your problem. Give them your rights freely. And next time, they will tie you down and rape your woman in front of you and you can do no damn thing about it. That's where nija is heading cus we fail to recognise these vaganbonds are funded by those interested eradicating the religion. They can't be muslims. However, I perfectly understand there are some muslims that espouse violent tendences. But here we talking about international criminal groups. Definitely poor folks cant afford such powerful military weapons they use. I dont deny at all that there are muslims being funded. That's definitely part of the scheme.
word!

You can give them your rights but am not. They want to search me and my wife, come with a warrant. Otherwise, they touch my wife they get shot in their testicles
