Sissie: I think it can be held in a hotel hall, event venues e.t.c the organizers have to make the hall hijab free zone, the windows should be covered so people outside don't see the inside, except If the sisters will be covered fully.thanks dear sis... |
you're just welcoming me? Well, sorry bro cuz no goodies for you.... Are you crying already? Oya, ayaf buy bakers(biscuit) and zobo(local drink) for you. Hope you are happy now? |

duff *I think* is allowed... Some even said since duff is allowed on eid and nikkah and duff is what they use then, we can use what we have now for those 'two' celebrations but I think that argueable... The sisters night shouldn't be haram since no Quranic verse or hadith kicked against it*I stand to be corrected please*... But we should be careful so as not to 'haramize' it by the kind of activities that will take place... Dance or no dance, beat or no beat, I think there are so many way to make a sisters night full of fun... My question here is: ''can a sisters night be held in a hotel hall''? This question is important to me pls... |
AbdH: Subhanallahi! I want more please.personally waiting for more... |

Sissie: At my age I can't marry someone younger than me, if I was older yes I can.the nail, you hitted right on its head... Someone I am older than? I doubt if he is thinking of marriage now... Well, it is a question asked and my answer is NO! |

Just a slight differences o... 1. On N.L, I often comment on threads but off NL, I hardly take part in public discussions*I hate arguments* especially those that serve little or no value 2. I type in pidgin sometimes on NL but I don't speak it off NL. Pidgin is easier typed than spoken by me*I like pidgin english cuz it's funny and informal but mine is very bad and you will easily know 'am a learner' 3. This has nothing to do with shyness or big girl tinz but off NL, I don't really have business with guys but here I rapport with them, yarb them, quote them and even follow them... Again, Nairalanders are not as understanding as people around me off NL so I dnt spend much time trying to make them understand anything they read wrongly as much as I do off NL No much differences sha but 'too many' differences btw the pple on and off NL*and I understand why* |
babylolaroy: if i may deduce contextually, riya is show-off?Na'am |

To achieve that I would like to borrow this ideology from Dr. Zakir Naik's rules and regulation for I.R.F... To actually get this kids ready to go deeper into Qur'an, you need a great deal of support from their parents... You have to make it known to parents that for their children to be successful in the institution, they have to be ready too... They have to be role models for their kids and they have to assist those kids in practicing what they have learnt in school by embracing the dos and keeping away from the donts... Examples; 1. Music and un-educating movies should not only be discouraged by the parent but avoided in the homes 2. Create the habit of asking your ward to 'teach you' what he/she learnt in school. Make them believe u really want to learn what they were tought 3. Once a week or month, invite close family and/or friends to your house for your ward to read and interpret some verse he learnt before and etc... From Zakir's I.R.F, there is so much that will help in this case... And ofcoure proper orientation of the teachers and conducive environment will help a long way... Nice idea, don't let it die... May Allah assist you |
joker5180: seems like a ladies threadhaba! Not only ladies make up a family na. Oya, choose your topic... I'll vote for you as the first speaker o for whichever topic signed by mods, but choose topic first ![]() |

Just an addition to what bro esji said: May Allah reward you for loving the hijab *Ameen*. Well, covering the inner cloth to feet is on the condition that the cloth itself doesn't carry the hijab quality... Short hijabs shouldn't go on trousers especially when it's tight and on a well designed skirt else the purpose of not displaying adornment and shape will be lost. On such adorned skirts and/or wrappers, its adviced to use hijab that @least reaches the knee or beyond... A full hijab isn't compulsory*but adviced* if the inner garment for instance is an abaya or a moderately designed and loose clothing... As for the sisters that sow their hijabs and inner clothing with same material, it's their choice... Style of hijab doesn't matter, the quality does... We CAN look nice and good with our hijabs BUT we CANNOT look flashy... Was once advised by a sister to stop going 'colour coperate' with hijab & other accessories like shoes, inner clothing, purse, etc*and I hate colour riot*... I told her I will stop as soon as I get a prove against it but truth is no hujjah exist since the colours are dull enough. Now quality observed and someone talking against going colour co-operate... I dont advice anyone to look ugly just cause 'I am a Hijabi' NO! But do not go off-balance as well... In Ibadah, moderation should be observed. Wa Allah a'alam |
Subhanallah!!! Going by the explanation and examples sited, everyone especially me would have been guilty of 90 percent but the difference is the intention for which those things are done and intention count most cuz really, 14, 17, 19 are 'hmmm!' cuz this is natural, *I love being secluded* neither can I turn away my gaze while still staring*it works for others but not me* and gaskiya for fear of Riya, I try to avoid so many things which in actual sence might be Riya again... Few may disagree but more will agree that doing some of the above might not be riya if the intention for which they are done is pure... May Allah instill Ikhlaas in our intentions and actions... @op, thanks for the reminder |
kayword: Lol... No be only you dey gbadun dis thread o...a lotta people do.Lol, no just dey gbadun am, try dey add seasoning... Ehen, no be bad tin u do o*fear catch you ni? Must Nigerians represent their political ogas at the top anywhere they visit? Sharia should be applied in this case. NO TIME! |
If those options given by royal roy na for jamb, i will either shade it all or leave it blank... It's tough sha but i go with this: 3. Cohabitation : Recipe for succesful marriage? |
SubhanAllah! Have been pondering over this... Indeed, Huwal awalu wal akhiru... #ALLAHU AKBAR!!! |
babylolaroy: yea..pardon us for going off topic. Harithah is a nice new name. av neva heard it b4.New? Hehehehe, dent mind them joor. They feminize Harith to haritha just like they feminize Adam to Adama as if adding letter 'A' makes it any different... My sister, na so I grow meet say dem dey call me o ''Haritha'' and gaskiya, me too dey answer am *lol, dnt mind me*... Ameen to ur prayers |
umm Nusayba, u got me laughing... Ummsulaym is a kuniya taken after a female sahab I never saw though but love so much... Her real name is Ghumaysa, some say Rumaysa... But I don't know if she had a son called sulaym. You & I have sumtin in common*gathering names for the unborn* and we aren't even married yet*LOL*. My dream names for boys are Muhammad and Jibril, for females; Summaya and Rahila... My name is Haritha*just like Adam feminize to Adama, LOL* @ all, my apologies if we went off topic*derail this thread*... Salam!!! |
@ sis babylolaroy, well said... May Allah increase us in hikma and sincere practice of the beneficial knowledge gained... Most times, we can distinct the haram and makruh from the halal, mustahabb, wajib etc but to practice it accordingly is where the problems most times lie... May Allah have mercy on all muslim Ummah |
You will be surprised @ this but this is what i think 'again' about sisters being reluctant to use a proper 'hijab'... Our hijab style is quite different from what some other countries use as hijab, when I mean style, am not talking about the qualities of hijab being compromised, NO! Alot of arab countries' women wear gown that carries women hijab qualities and a head cover of which most lenght are to the bossom, then some add Nicob, while some don't... But in nigeria here*I dnt know of other countries* even if your abaya or others has the qualities of hijab, as long as its not the style used here*from head to toe, no part*, you will be surprised to see brothers and sisters alike coming to preach 'hijab' to you... Not everyone like the style we use here in Naija... Thinks it's better if people are aware of the qualities of hijab rather than style... Just to fit-in with the style of hijab here, has flooded the market with 'non-hijab' hijabs but in Hijab style... Recently I was hearing of 'swagger hijab' it's funny cuz if people know that it's qualities that matter rather than style, they wont call that tight and transparent thing a 'hijab' just becuase ot the style... Some sisters wear jeggings or 'pencil' trousers with short tops and use 'hijab' that covers to bossom where as, it would have just been better to use a free gown and that 'bossom hijab'... The quality should better be understood than the style... Wa Allahu a'alam May Allah make the righteous path easy for us to follow... |
tbaba1234:I have suspecting you o, why are thou laughter? *i fit be ameboric atimes* .... Mind me not... Let us know what you don't agree with in his comment please... So much to learn with so little time... #waiting |
