I don't support Nigeria's constitution either and ofcuz, the way u described the male islamic dress code is indeed the way a muslim is supposed to be dressed... I don't really get your message but regardless of my disapproval for nigeria's constitution, i dnt see how that calls for killing or terming western education as a sin... Nigeria is not an islamic country, bearing that in mind, i endure their constitution... Will appreciate if u make me understand the last comment though... |

more grease bro... In totality, bokoharam is a combination of xtianity, islamic and other religion and of hausa, igbo, yoruba and other tribes from all angles... Not only christians has been their victims but muslims and non-muslims alike... It baffles me why BOKOHARAM is seen a s an islamic sect simply because some of its members tend to understand arabic and sometimes quote from Qur'an but arabic language and Qur'an is not a harculean task for anyone outside islam to learn even though 'not understood'... LONG LIVE THE MUSLIM UMMAH!!! |

usermane: Here we go again. I hope the moderators don't move this thread and i don't offend anyone. The boko haram killings have got worse so far,even more gruesome than the past as they now prefer to slaughter than shoot the helpless victims. They 've attacked even schools slaughtering students. OH MY LORD, I SEEK REFUGE IN YOU FROM THE WICKED.No sane muslim will support boko haram doings... What do i care when i know that surely, they will be brought to account for all the innocent blood shed on judgement day... Islam forbids innocent and unjust killings and that's what i learnt from my Qur'an and hadith... Well, people can believe otherwise but as for me and my family, it's a 'NO' to BOKOHARAM!!! Besides, i dnt know what business u've got with d groups u mentioned above... judging from the comments so far, insultive comment was first posted by a christian and the worst comments so far are by christians... Guess that's what being 'christ-like' and peaceful means to u people... As for those who said we are worshipping Allah and not God, they should try contacting the christian arabs for the meaning of God in arabic... As much as i love my religion, i also hate religious crisis bcuz i have xtians as family and friends yet i dont hate dem because to dem is their religion and to me, is mine. According to my Qur'an, there shouldn't be compulsion in religion but why all this on nairaland?... The post doesn't calls for all these mess but a simple 'differences and similarities' if any existed... And my reply to the post is: ''There maybe similarities because muslims believe in all the prophets and their messages of monotheism(i.e ONE GOD) which can be confirmed from old testament but islam diagrees with christianity on the basis of 'trinity' which is according to the new testament... The fundamental believe or principle in christianity is to believe in 3-god(s) in one-TRINITY (polytheism) while in Islam, it's to believe in 1-God(Monotheism)... We believe in Jesus, his miraculous birth, his miracles and his ascention to heaven but we don't believe in his 'equality' to God... PS: the more we argue and fight eachother, the more reasons we give to atheist to think that religion is a curse rather dan a blessing... Let muslims be and let christians be.... PERIOD!!! 1 Like |

I am not a scholar nor on the well learned side but a student of knowledge... Life after death in Islam is a broad topic, almost unending but I'll try to be brief... ...To believe in 'life after death' is an essential condition of being a muslim. Life after death is the Hereafter, no one can run away from it and is for eternity-beginning with life in the grave, followed by the stage of Barzakh, contunuing on until the day of Judgement(Qiyamah), until we can finally enter paradise and/or hell depending on our deeds and beliefs in this short and temporal world. Summarilly, in Islam, an individual's life after death or their hereafter is very closely shaped by their present life and when good deeds and way of life in general is concerned, islam has rules concerning every affair... Above all, we believe God's Judgement is as He wills and pleases... I will stop here bro... Peace!!! |

Do you know that anger is one letter short of danger? Oh yes, it is... Once there was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that everyday he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of the nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy doesn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy should now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The day passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son and led him to the fence. He said, ''you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say ''I'm sorry'', the wound will still be there''. Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said, ''The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger.'' [sahih Al bukhari 8.137 narrated Abu Hurraira, r.a] ''They spend (in Allah's cause) whether in prosperity, or in adversity; *who restrain from anger*, and pardon men; for Allah loves the good doers'' (Al-imran 3:134) And from the Bible in Ecclesiastes 7:9 ''be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bossom of fools''...
