All questions was directed to me . He didn’t even ask him anything. And the 1st time I traveled and he came when I gave birth. He stayed only one week. Then I used the visa again for summer when my son was about 10 months. That’s all. He wasn’t asked any questions and he got the visa.

That explains it then. Your husband's side of the story is good so they want to double-check on your own side as well.

Next thing he gave my husband white paper without asking him one single question and then he turns to me and said ma’am I am not denying you your visa I just need more clarifications, so I will send you a mail and you feel the form and we will ask you for your visa. On a normal day we will hold your passport but because of Covid we will ask you to hold your passport and we ask for it when we need it.
Got home saw the form on my mail. I am yet to reply them. It’s a basic form sha most of all the questions they asked when applying. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Has anyone experienced this before? Abeg help a sister.

Have you been denied visa in the past 6 months?
If yes, that may be the reason. If no, then go through your DS160 and see what you may be doing wrong.
The email for EA is basically stating the date you have and the date you will start class then pleading for an early interview date just for you to meet up with your class. And you will also state how important it is for you to resume on campus early. Example, orientation, class registration, transition.

I would like to ask a quick question. I got admitted for my masters program with a tuition waiver and a research assistantship position (Fully funded program). However, I am not in Nigeria presently and would be applying from where I am in Europe.

I would be getting married soon and my spouse would want to apply for F2.

The question is she’s in Nigeria, I will not be applying from Nigeria so am confused how she’ll go about it because I want her to apply with me. Is there a way you can suggest I should go about it? I will appreciate your suggestions.

Is your wedding before interview and are you getting married in Europe or Nigeria?
If your wedding is before the interview and she has a tangible thing she's doing in Nigeria that will prevent her from leaving with you to the US then she can apply with you.
Another one is you apply alone and she come to meet you. However, if you are both going together then you have to conclude on one place that either of you have strong home ties.

I and my Co-founder got invited by an accelerator in the US for the end of Jan. This is not our first time traveling but first time to the US.
The Accelerator is covering the trip and its a 4day program, they have sent an invitation letter, accommodation certificate.

Is there a way they can send an email to the embassy stating that they are inviting us- Is there an email for that?

We have filled the DS160 form and tried scheduling for an appointment but it keeps bringing up an error message. I saw on this thread that someone advised we send a mail, I have sent the mail not gotten any response yet.

Secondly, how do we book the appointment so we both have our interviews together?

You can keep checking for closer date. If your case is anything related to a medical emergency, you can request for an expedited appointment.

Does anyone else have a problem with creating a new profile for the US non-immigrant visa? My brother is trying to register for a new user account but he keeps getting an error message that says “Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted.”

Could you please advise on what to do as he needs an account in order to schedule an appointment?

He should send a mail to the embassy with is name, email and passport number they will create an account for him then email his login details to him.

I am also trying to fill the Ds 160 form and I need to upload a passport with white background.

I have a white background passport but it is not same size as the US one. I used it for my schenghen visa, can I upload that one now and take the US size when going for my interview?

Or does the passport I use in the Ds 160 form have to be the same I present at the embassy?

You can first contact the embassy about your previous account if they can retrieve for you. If nothing, then you can create a new profile.
The passport picture required is American size, you can try uploading the one you have if it will upload. If not, then American size it is.

I got my EA denied in Lagos yesterday and I reapplied to Abuja yesterday. Today, I got an approval mail so I proceeded to rescheduling, However, the first option was Jan 14th I picked it because I had no choice. My school resumes January 7th and classes begins January 12th.

Please, is there anything else I can do? Maybe getting a support letter from my school to take along to the embassy? Thank you

Yes you can get a letter of extension from your school. And don't forget to mention that to the VO in case you are asked questions concerning resumption.

Okay. It will not be proper of me if I see this kind of question and I don't share one or two things. So here's the deal. One of them can come. The one that has the best shot is your mum. Now the thing is, are you in school and are you the only one that will be available to take care of the baby? If yes, then you can apply for visa and EA for your mum to come stating
the reasons you alone can't take care of the baby (I had this same experience). However, if you don't fall under those things I mentioned then getting a EA may not be possible. Everything else which can be, you are not a student and your husband is with you or you are a student and your husband is still with you so you wouldn't be needing extra help with the newborn.

Hence, only you knows your present situation and why you need extra help so use that analysis to weigh your chances of getting a EA.

Next is to apply for visa by feeling the ds160, paying for visa and choosing a date. Since you will resume August 2022, you can choose normal regular date in Abuja and safe stress of having to apply for an expedited appointment. SEVIS fee can be paid by someone in the US already so you can ask your friends or families over here to help you pay.

This information is on your school's website on International Students and work in the US. Doing any of those jobs listed up there will require your SSN information. You can only use your SSN to work outside your school in places authorized by your school's International Students official which will also be on your i-20. Another time is if there are no jobs on campus then you can apply for work authorization to work outside your school. So there are consequences except you want to work as an intern using either your OPT or CPT in one of those places and what they do is directly related to your program.

Although the rate the person is helping you to pay is high but it may be very hard (you can see an extremely good person that will change at 410 for you) to get the bank rate. Dollar exchange here is between 510-560.

The question was simple and direct. You should have said, " yes I've been to XYZ on ABC or no, I have not had any reason to do so or No". Reason been that, they must have seen you have traveled out before just trying to double check.

You can't contact them. Except you want to contact them that you don't want the Visa again. Both of you have been placed on Administrative Processing and it takes time. If he said a week, then give it a week. Some AP do take as long as 30 days sef. Plus, you are not suppose to schedule flight until you have your visa.

I need to update the new confirmation code with my appointment which is coming up shortly but my agent said it's a big issue hence he'll need more fund to do that. Please is he correct or is he playing me?

If your interview is more than 72hours, correct your mistake. If you can't retrieve application on the ds160 page, start a new application. If you use the same security question as the first one, some of your information should pop up with the new application then you fill the ones that are missing. When you are done, go to visa portal and update your profile with the new ds160 application number.

Or you pay your agent to do everything I've explained.

Good morning, I know this might be a relief for someone out there as I also looked everywhere for it. We had our kids in the US on a medical visa. I went for a B1/B2 interview sometimes last week with my husband. We compiled all the documents that may be useful (receipts and zero balance) and prayed to God for favour. The interviewer did not touch on the births until we mentioned it ( this could have been a trap) and no further questions were asked about receipts. We discussed the reason for the trip and he wanted to know if my husband was sponsoring, which he confirmed ( husband earns six figures ) and that was it. We got an approval! The only thing I know we did was prayers and faith in God.

For Baltimore MD, it's 7-14days. You can expedited it if you want. You can start by applying for Virginia.

Visa on arrival is issued to infants that have Nigerian parents.You can check the requirements on the immigration page. Gather the required documents and send an email. Its usually approved within 48hrs(used an agent). Once approved, you will be sent an approval letter which you will show the airline and the child's passport will be stamped on arrival.

Thank you for this. How much was the total cost just in case I do not get my kids's Nigerian passport early so I'll just consider this option
