Pls no loan this time. The money the present govt is making now cos of subsidy removal is enormous. See the maths (437-195)*3million ltrs daily excess money N585 million daily(N17.55 billion monthly or N210.60 billion yearly). So if subsidy is not removed, the should have sold this country. God forbid, the President should manage this excess resources judiciously not extravagantly or sharing the loot that has been their ways in Nigerian governance.

Enough of borrowing in whatever form, he should look into productive ventures in the long run to sustain economic development like agriculture, other minerals mining. President Tinubu should use his head as an accountant and assemble Nigeria Enginneers and scientist to help him create wealth in this country. Management without production is useless. It is high time we do not rely entirely on oil to sustain this economy.

Work on renewable energy/green energy, research on GMOs, AI, Machine Learning (ML) in ITs for applications production and marketing to the international community should be intensified.

Governance is not only spending money but generating resources in a productive way not by exploitative means as taxes and levies.

Tell your employer that you are not coping and give them the breakdown of your expenses and see if they can exempt you from work in some days of the week. Keep on trying and see if there is any way you can mitigate the transport cost by trekking some distance and saving the money. It is really tough in Abuja and elsewhere in the country.

The prayer is that the subsidy removal accumulated fund should be used to develop this country and not to be looted and shared by the politicians and their cronies.

By the grace of God, am an Engineer and a great scientist indeed. However, God through His son Jesus is greater than science because he is the creator of everything including science and that is why the great sane scientists acknowledge him.

If one of the greatest scientist ever lived - Albert Einstein, who discovered nuclear bumb and gave USA and other western nations the Super power status acknowledged God before he passed on, you have to take Jesus and Christianity very serious.

What a shame and a wicked world. Out of about 9 billion people sharing our planet earth presently, 3 billion are living under poverty, war and disease especially in Africa and other underdeveloped and developing countries in the world. These billionaires decided not to care or help rather embarking on suicidal adventure of going to visit titanic that sank over a century ago in an unusual circumstance.

Today, they have perished with their billions, leaving billions of people hungry and in want in our world.

Police force should teach their men morals and subject them to psychiatric tests before deploying them. Doing this to his own daughter and killing his grand child (though his own son) according to this report is less of sexual perversion and more of mental degradation(mental case - kolo), he should have gotten help on time for the mental problem.

The New IG should look into these as he assumes office, for the good of the police force in particular and the nation in general.

It is not celebrating the removal of police boss, the issue is for the police force to live up to expectations to what they are set up for - maintain law and order. Protect the citizenry from the vagaries of lawlessness.

This new police boss, if he can bring these to the table and made the police force to concentrate on their original duties and stop collecting bribes, then the celebration will be meaningful. Otherwise, they should hold their peace.

Well in a deregulated PMS economy, prices are determined by Forex exchange. However, Nigeria system is skewed due to corruption, if you liberalize the licence for importation, some people through the contacts they have at the top will get the licence and be reselling at higher exorbitant prices as we saw in the past when rice was not being produced enough in Nigeria.

It will take some time for the system to normalize.

Aliko Dangote will bounce back once the Refinery is quoted in SEC and producing. However, we should be careful in this country, otherwise lesser or smaller African countries will overtake us in nearly all spheres, but God forbid.

Has somebody noticed that electricity supply has improved in this country since Jagaban has been sworn in as Nigeria President. In Abuja we are enjoying about 20 - 22hrs per day of AEDC electricity. To God be the glory.

"We are Interested in Names of Officers Involved in Oil Theft in S'South" - Navy Replies Asari Dokubo

The Nigerian Navy has on Friday reacted to the allegation made by Niger Delta leader and former agitator, Mujahid Asari Dokubo who allegedly spoke with some journalists shortly after meeting President Bola Tinubu behind closed-doors at the Aso Rock Villa that cases of oil theft recorded in the South South region were traceable to the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy.

Dokubo alleged that the military is at the centre of oil theft and we have to make this very clear to the Nigerian public that 99 per cent of oil theft can be traced to the Nigerian military, the Army and the Navy especially.

Reacting to this allegation, the Nigerian Navy spokesperson, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan in a telephone interview with SpyeTV News Defence Correspondent in Abuja challenged the ex-militant to reveal the names of officers involved in crude oil theft. Saying, this allegation against the military is “spurious and unguarded”.

Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan said oil thieves were angry because the land, maritime and air component of the Joint Task Force Operation DELTA SAFE as well as other operations in the South South zone of the country have sustained the efforts to deny oil thieves avenues to sabotage economy through ongoing “Operation DAKATAR DA BARAWO” and sustained a relatively safe and peaceful environment for business activities to strife in the region.

"Recently, during these operations, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE in the conduct of Operation OCTOPUS GRIP and other Operations discovered and destroyed 57 illegal refining sites, a total of Eighty Two Million Four Hundred and Forty Five Thousand One Hundred and Fifty Naira (N82,445,150.00) only were denied the oil thefts and troops also arrested 16 suspected economic saboteurs.

"Let him bring the names. The Nigerian Navy is interested in the names of those involved because the Navy has no tolerance for any form of criminalities whatsoever, not even that height of theft as alleged by Asari Dokubo.

Relatedly, our air component of Operation DELTA SAFE between 2 and 3 June 2023 conducted air reconnaissance and air interdiction operation at Okoro Nyong and Ndele. Overhead, these locations which were observed to be rife with illegal refining activities with about 6 motorcycles sighted. Consequently, the locations was bombarded and destroyed while the illegal refined products and equipment were engulf in flames as a result of the air strike.

The Navy has been running it in synergy with the NNPC. The company that was given a contract by the NNPC on pipeline surveillance, they are working with the Nigerian Navy and Operation Delta Safe in the Niger-Delta to curb oil theft.

“For somebody to just make such unguarded statement, bring the names. You know that there is an operation (Operation DAKATA BARAWO) going on in the Niger Delta being run by the Nigerian Navy since April last year.

“NNPC holds regular meetings with the Chief of Naval Staff to review the operations. Just last week, the Chief Executive of NUPREC was here to have a meeting with CNS. Just two days ago, the management team for the other one on downstream regulatory authority were also here to have a meeting. For us, if you want to make such spurious allegations, bring the names. Simple!
