Mitsurugi:
He has a point (except Adebayor and Jay-Jay on that list. Okocha na pure sentiments grin) A player will always succeed in a good team. And Liverpool is phenomenal.

I've always wondered why didn't Salah shine at Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma? He's not so good with Egypt too. Salah is good but.....

Drogba, Kanu, Yaya all individually brilliant players won multiple trophies. Kanu even won an FA Cup with Portsmouth a low ranked club. They have done well for their countries too. Mane won the AFCON over Salah

Maybe it's just me but I felt Mane leaving exposed Salah.
And you didn't wonder why KDB who spent two seasons at Chelsea didn't shine but wonder why Salah who spent just 5 months at Chelsea didn't shine.
Salah was Fiorentina best plaher in the half season he spent there and that was what prompted Roma to sign him. At Roma he won the best player of the season award, maybe you were too young then

It won't solve anything, bulk transactions will still be carried out undetected, this is Nigeria where policies are made to play to the gallery but never implemented.

Very good.... CBN dishing it out hot... Any thing above that should be by transfer.

That means intra bank transfer of forex should now be available.

However, it is interesting how USD has become a secondary currency in Nigeria
Can you list the things manufactured in Nigeria and among them the ones manufactured by indigenous companies ?
There lies why USD is the secondary currency in Nigeria. And remember that politicians save and transport their loots in USD not in Naira.

You obviously don’t understand my post.

When you dig a little into history, read about Berlin conference and how the British destroyed our dear continent with their colonialism and slave trade era. That’s what is still affecting us till today and we haven’t recovered. And that’s why the Africans are still unable to enjoy the resources of their land because the resources are being exploited by the same England. It’s not about patriotism, it’s a spiritual thing to choose a side that enslaved your ancestors and made even their generations (which includes us) to lose balance till date.
And when you try to enter their country, they make it very difficult, yet cocoa from africa is feeding European kids while kids here die of hunger. You can have British passport, American passport, make all the money you can over there, but when it’s time to give back, it should not be to a country like England
Slave trade is not affecting you in anyway, Nigeria got her independence in 1960 that's thats 60 years ago, South Africa got her independence in 1990 but can you compare the progress of both countries ?
The money looted by Shagari, Buhari, Obasanjo, IBB, Abacha and all the politicians that has served in one capacity or the other since 1983 should be held responsible.
In 1990 Dubai was still a desert but today it's a mega city, Lagos State has the IGR as Dubai but can you compare both cities ? The difference are the leaders.

When I see black players from africa playing for England, it makes me wonder that blacks will never ever learn.

Bukola saka is Yoruba but will never earn my respect in this lifetime. I fault his parents too. The same people that came to enslave you and turn your land to a desert, that same country you choose over your own country. This is beyond patriotism, it is a spiritual thing
Playing for England is way way better than playing for Nigeria, as an ex Three Lions player John Fashenu still receives pension from the British government, can you say the same for our ex players ?

EnglandLeague Two is ranked higher than South Africa Premier League where Nwabali plays, you also missed where it was stated that he is an Arsenal player and has been on loan at Stum Graz in Austria Bundesliga. Dude has better experience than Nwabali.

oga I appreciate that you point out something about leadership out on your winter up, I will remain you that GEj has well remove subsidy in 2012 Jan, if that time he has make up is mine and stand on is ground that no going back, nobody can fight against him, the same way nobody is fighting against tinubu today bring a President, and doing GEj term oil sale very well in all the country's that is wen we have upper hand to make alot of money and repair our country to a better country, but because GEJ can not stands on is ground or take a hard discussion about it.. is the problem that we are face now... sir am 40above so I no what am saying... about leaderships.... many people have bring a President of this country but view of many have a skill of leaderships....
I can hardly comprehend what you wrote, like I said a good leader is the one that involves the people in whatever decision he takes and that is what GEJ was especially in a democratic process.
It's only a dictator or military head of state that takes decision(s) because nobody will question him or fight, what you are suggesting has no place in a democratic government.
By the way do you follow Tinubu's Twitter page ? If you think people don't question him then visit his page, public outrage was the reason why Beta Edu was suspended and that was the same reason why GEJ backtracked with subsidy removal in 2012 because Tinubu and Buhari caused a nationwide outrage that turned the people against the government.

my bro what is leadership? a simple mean of a leadership is to know wen to take a hard discussion, tinubu was a governor not a President mr GEJ have more power then tinubu ther... so my simple explanations is that Mr GEJ was not a good leadership he just fortune to be a President of Nigeria, and under Mr GEJ administrative a lot of money was soling...
And you think at almost 50 years of age I don't know what leadership entails ? A good leader is one that listens to the yearning and cries of the citizens which GEJ was, Tinubu, Buhari, Tunde Bakare and Wole Soyinka took advantage of that to incite the citizens against GEJ.
Leaders are elected by the people to serve the people so therefore a leader is expected to carry the people along in every decision making (not that I expect you to understand this though) and that was exactly what GEJ did by going to national television stations to educate the people about the need have subsidy removed.
Tinubu new back then that removing the subsidy will benefit Nigeria and Nigerians but he went against it and even went as far as spending billions of naira to organize protests nationwide.
Oh you think the 2012 protests were for the interest of Nigerians ? NO, it was for Tinubu and Buhari's personal interests because they don't care what happens to people like you and I.

2012 was the best and the right time to remove subsidy when everything was cheap and affordable.
Tinubu forced Buhari on Nigeria despite knowing that the man is incompetent to a fault, if Tinubu knows what he is doing as you have said he would have given Buhari ideas on how to govern the country being a chieftain of APC but he watched Nigerians suffer for 8 years why the economy crumbled.

Tinubu is going run his govts through internally generated revenue and pass prosperity to the next generation.

Celebrities / Re: Most Things 2face Has Today Were Made Possible By Blackface - Eedris Abdulkareem by uniquetechng: 7:45pm On Feb 20
richiemcgold:

This is very wrong.

Music fans in Nigeria already knew Tuface before they started hearing about a group called Plantashun Boiz or any artist called Blackface. Tuface was the one who actually helped both Blackface and Plantashun Boys to become popular.

The artist that first brought both Tuface and Blackface to the limelight was Tony tetuila when he featured them in his popular song Omode Meta. In the song, Tuface was that lanky young boy with a sweet voice singing " oh o! s'ere o, won n s'ere ayo..." Nobody knew Blackface or Plantashun Boys during this time.

Modified:
For those debunking my claims, I have only one question for you: "before Omode Meta, was there any hit song from Tuface and Blackface?

I stand on my word that Tony tetuila made both of them popular, and Tuface was the first to come to limelight in that group.

Check out the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M2cUkQqdqA
This is not true, I grew up in the same area as these guys in Festac, Blackface brought Tuface to Lagos and he was the founder of the group. Plantasun Boiz managed by Nelson Brown was already performing as a group when Tony was still with Remedies.
They featured in Def O'clan song before Omode meta was recorded.
Plantasun Boiz would have released their first studio album long before Tony Tetuila left Remedies but Nelson Brown felt Blackface and Tuface voices don't complement each other and that was why Faze was drafted into the group.
Blackface single handedly wrote all the songs released by the group.

Stop being crudely conspiratorial, subsidy is unconstitutional and illegal by virtue of Petroleum Industry Act signed into law in 2022. As a crude oil producing country, we have no business paying subsidy on fuel much less importing refined fuel. Past regimes that deliberately looked away for over four decades while four refineries rot away are liable. I would have hoped that two or more private investors could have also taken the initiative than have only Dangote at the forefront.
Nigeria is not the only country subsidizing, infact FG pays less compares to what majors countries pays as subsidies.

The attach is some of the sectors subsidized by the US government.

Going by what politicians earns/loot from our collective wealth Nigetians deserve to enjoy subsidies.

ahmedio2017 see what I was trying to explain.
Funny enough the dude was wrong, the notion that Dangote refinery will cut down on dollars spent on importation is a farce because the refinery needs at least 4.8m barrels of crude weekly to operate optimally. With our crude already sold into the future by NNPCL under the previous administration FG is already mulling the option of importing crude from Venezuela while Dangote refinery itself has started sourcing for crude from the US.

By the way this report made mention of the fact the petro units will not come online in months, therefore nobody should expect to see the refinery sell fuel in months except for byproducts.

you didn't answer my question. How many barrels of oil will Dangote refinery be consuming compared to what Nigeria is producing?

He's not only importing crude from abroad, he's also buying in Nigeria. NNPCL will deliver 2 million literes of crude to him this month and deliver 4 million litres to him next month. He's getting 2 million barrels from the USA this month too.

NNPCL don't import crude at all, if prices of refined crude from Dangote is too much, Marketers will buy from NNPCL refineries alone which will be cheaper. And Dangote will export his refined crude and earn dollars for Nigeria
Dangote refinery is a 680bpd capacity refinery, which means they require estinated 4.8m barrels of crude weekly to run the refinery optimally.
Do your calculations again then come back to this your comment.

Like I said NNPCL and the FG has concluded plans already to import crude that's why they keep telling us daily that our crude has been sold into the future, that way nobody will complain when they eventually commence importing crude from Venezuela as they announced last year.

The only reason why many people don't know how bad the situation of the country is right now is simply because APC retained power and wouldn't want to put Buhari's administration under the bus as that might harm their chances of winning elections in future especially 2027.

Dangote refinery won't be the only refinery operating in Nigeria. NNPCL will also be selling petrol and they won't be importing crude. If Dangote refinery petrol is more expensive than NNPCL petrol, marketers will only be buying from the NNPCL. Dangote refinery will have to sell to international customers and earn dollars.
NNPCL said last year that they might import crude from Venezuela as our crude has been sold in advance, guess you were not aware of that.

NNPCL won't need to spend billions of dollars importing petrol, jet fuel, kerosene, diesel etc once the PH and Dangote refinery start selling. this will lead to the naira breathing some fresh air soon.
Dangote refinery will spend dollars to import crude, and the refinery will sell at current dollar rates so nothing changes.
