aloy@emeka:No, Madu is a widely used Kanuri name. Kanuris are found in both Borno and Yobe states as well as Niger and Chad |
Voted too. all the best |
zoe80 @Untainted, you warmed my heart and God bless you! Smiley God bless you too zoe. Nigeria is really a perplexing study |

lighternote:To judge by Zankli above which is in Abuja, I think you are talking of really overpriced hospitals. I don't know about the others but that Zankli charges not just an eye but a whole head for its service. Is it truly worth the price? |
Demdem:Thanks for the very reasonable response. But I must admit I fear for th unity of this country and whether rightly or wrongly, at times, I pray it splits if that will put an end to the bloodbath. |
Demdem:Thanks demdem but what will you have GEJ do? The problems of insecurity did not start with him, I think some people just seize the moment to rubbish jonathan. Inefficiency in the security agencies had always been with us but some people (a powerful clique) who want to portray GEJ as clueless are hellbent on rubbishing him through BH. No matter how tough or capable you are, the solutioon lies in addressing the system and not showing off as a strong man. I lived in the north; I know how porous the borders are and how weak the security arrangement is. Blaming the rot on GEJ's inefficiency is a bit unfair. You cannot wish sanity into existence in this case because it is a rot that has lasted decades. Besides, we know how easily it is to obtain most of the materials for bomb making and the non existence of any meaningful record keeping by our traders in case you want to identify people who bought so so and so. With the unregulated nature of our markets and traders, where will you start asking the question? And with due respect to my Moslem brothers, it is alarming the rate at which hate messages are preached in some mosques in the north and especially the ones that circulate on mobile phones. GEJ cannot stop the hate messages and that is basically what fuels this crisis. I have about six of these audio hate messages and I shiver whenever I listen to them knowing how persuasive the orators are and the effect the messages will have on misguided Moslems(who are many) |
bachama, higi, chamba, jonjo and bata all in adamawa state |
Vicjustice:It is clear now. Thanks a lot |
Justwise it seems Vicjustice is not available. Could you please help on my question about an unused visa confering an advantage? I really will want to understand. Thanks |
Vicjustice:Please be kind enough to explain the above. I will be very grateful if you do. Thanks |
That article or whatever is very questionable. Today, every sick person just wakes up and claims BH and is given free media coverage. Beyond the credibility of the story though, I think most Nigerians are tired of the union but are confused about the next step to take |
begwong:Is he married to a pretty petite lady? |
pro01: omo alaro:The guys above have given the name of the Senator. Somebody should pls help with the name of the actress. (My excuse is I don't watch nollywood). |
seychelles is a beautiful place. I may visit it next year for vacation |
He ha about 5 children now. I know where he is coming from. But like someone said, time will tell. |
DivideUs:I am inclined to agree with you but your mistake is you assume GEJ is investing for the Niger Delta. Ask the Kwara State who owns Shonga Farms. When Nigeria breaks (if), GEJ and friends will own the refineries |
There is one thing most Nigerians do not know. Public officials most often initiate ideas or projetcs using government funds but hidden in the agreements are clauses actually ceding the concerns to them. A good example is the Shonga farms in Kwara State. I heard recently (not sure though) that the farm was actually Bukola Saraki's private business but the way he went about it, you would think he was investing for the state. Do not be surprised that in the nearest future, you will hear people say it actually was not a government project or they bring the PPP angle to it. That is the sad reality of Nigeria. Leaders are investing (our patrimony) outside anticipating an implosion. |
You are a man of COURAGE who says it as it is. I have noticed that it is something that comes naturally to you. Just keep doing what you have been doing. Congratulations brother! |
Toaskarity:I like you brother, seems you are a realist. But you must know that not all Christians in the north agree with your position. It is not easy to just forsake your ancestral land no matter the level of persecution; the reason you see Chritians defying the odds in Irac and Iran as well as other Muslim dominated areas to practice their religion. But if you say Nigeria should divide, that is another thing; just maybe, they may be forced to move southwards; but there can't be a Nigeria where you have states governed under strict Shari'ah principles? That will NEVER happen. |
Toaskarity:There is this fallacy that there is anything like a Muslim state in Nigeria. You find indigenes that are Christian in large numbers from Borno to Sokoto; what happens to them if you say their states should become muslim states. Think of how it will affect their access to education, employment, health, commerce etc and even the right to practice their beliefs. |
Kolababa:While I truly understand your pains; I must say that 99% of Northen Nigerian (can't say for the Southwest) Moslems that I know will lynch any non Moslem they catch with materials written in Arabic, let alone the Qur'an. How will others understand Islam if they are denied acces to the roots of Islam itself Brother? |
Kx:please somebody should do something fast |
justwise:I won't forget this advice, besides i've been here long enough to know u can't mess with JENNY |
justwise:Thanks bro for your time. It was well utilised and profoundly illuminating. God bless |
jennykadry:Oh la la la. I laugh in rebel language. Jennny I no fit try you naa. I thought you guys were one and the same. Seeking for his permission was also seeking urs by extension my sister. Coolu temper eh, nne; One love |
thanks brother |
justwise, pls could we talk privately? If you agree, I will create a yahoo id from where we start. Thanks for anticipated understanding |
The fact is that the Nigerian project has empowered the northern Moslem such that just one Moslem can sponsor a war to annihilate all the christians in that region. Come to think of it; looking at it disspassionately, I am forced to agree with your postulation. I also think that Benue State and to an extent Plateau State can be a bulwark for the Christians to launch a counter-offensive to regain territory? Definitely, the Moslems will go after them once Nigeria breaks. |
Sun of god:Is that not rather simplistic? No offence. |
Southerners always call for the division of this country when northern Moslems on rampage targetting Christians go on their routine killing spree. The question all southern Christians need to ask is what happens to non-Moslems in northern Nigeria. In case you don't know, most states in the north have Christain majority but are less visible in the power structure of their states. For example, Adamawa and Taraba have more Christians than Moslems but past military govts ensured only the Moslems are represented in the top hierarchy of state and federal civil service. Same military ensured that Moslems in these states were favoured in recruitment and posting into the army and the security agencies. Borno State and Yobe have a huge Christian population who are marginalised including Kebbi, katsina, and even Kano state. Plateau, Benue, Bauchi and Gombe are clearly Christian states even though the last two and Kogi have been governened by Moslems since creation or commencement of democracy in 1999. The question to southern Christians is how will you feel dumping brethen in the midst of wolves who have the wherewithal and the desire to kill all of them? |
^^^^ This may be of help Boko Haram (literally, "Western or non-Islamic education is a sin" is a controversial Nigerian militant Islamist group that seeks the imposition of Shariah law in the northern states of Nigeria.[2]It become known internationally following sectarian violence in Nigeria in 2009. EtymologyThe term "Boko Haram" comes from the Hausa word boko meaning "Western or non-Islamic education" and the Arabic word haram meaning "sin."[3][4][5][6] [edit] IdeologyBoko Haram opposes not only Western education, but Western culture and modern science as well.[7] In a 2009 BBC interview, Yusuf stated that the belief that the world is a sphere is contrary to Islam and should be rejected, along with Darwinism and the theory that rain comes from water evaporated by the sun.[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boko_Haram |
