I am used to that argument "if you don't know this then God did it" that is a sad appeal to ignorance using "God" not as an answer but as a placeholder for ignorance.

Once that problem is solved God shatters from the equation and moves on to the next curtain of ignorance.

I have always told them: Gods may exist or not, we do not know but they are not needed to explain the cosmos or other random natural manifeststions

If you cannot find some other places to place your God(s) except behind the curtain of scientific ignorance then just as history as proven "God" will always remain an ever receding factor in the face of scientific breakthrough.

Once upon a time humanity thought hurricanes was because God(neptune) was pissed off, we now know the cause of hurricanes and God (neptune) has been canceled from that equation.

In a way that scepticism is applied in the issue of public concern like religion there is a always an unsaid tendency to belittle and condescend and ignore the facts that deluded or not supporters of superstitions and pseudoscience are humans with feelings too who like all are also trying to figure out how the world works and what our role in it might be.

Their motives and ideas sometimes are consonants with science and realities but since these cultures has not provided them everything they need, let us therefore tamper scepticism with kind words.

None of us comes fully equipped.

If we take this condescending part, it will never turn out well.

Take the following in consideration,
1, logic is not enough to counter the existence of God i. e because u don't believe doesn't mean he doesn't exist.
2, man have existed for over a billion years

Now since u believe only empirical evidence there are chances that the people you call your parents aren't really your biological parents, unless you have gone for a DNA testing. How many of you atheists have doubts of their parents? It still boils down to faith. You need it, I need it, its in everyone's sub conscious mind

The bible claims to be universal truth so no need trying to protect it. Truth can protect itself

For my kids i intend to raise them free, they won't be atheists or theists, rather maintain that default stance we all have from birth which is Pure agnosticism.

When they grow to the age of reason they can develop their own ideas not feed them my own ideas

Yes Mr Urahara, Jesus still loves a sinner like you irrespective of the magnitude of sins you've committed. The only reason Jesus came to die was so that ALL SINNERS who believe in Him and choose to repent from their sins can be saved. Jesus did not die for the righteous, rather he died for the sinners so that any sinner who believes in Him will receive the forgiveness of their sins and a free gift of righteousness. You as a human being are INCAPABLE of doing enough good works to please a Perfect and HOLY God who is too Holy to behold sin. And because he knows your limitations as a human being and He loves you, that was why He made a provision for you in the death of Jesus Christ as a sacrifice that pays for all your sins for you to be qualified to receive a free gift of righteousness that makes you qualified to come before God or make into heaven because your good acts or human righteousness cannot qualify you - "the righteousness of man is like a filthy rag before God" as it clearly states in the book of Isaiah
