Ok guys, I've not written much on this forum but I'm an active member. So straight to the point, my dad passed away in February after battling stroke since October last year. His death was surrounded by a couple of conspiracy theories which have there foundation on issues surrounding his illness and death. The first was that a rival contractor was the cause. BTW he worked at PZ as a maintenance contractor. He was in the factory when he had the stroke. Second conspiracy theory was that our village people were responsible, due to the fact that he just finished the foundation of the house he has been longing to have as a man of 63 yrs yet to have a house of his own. Some other theories but I don't wanna lengthen dis post more than it is already, so back to the topic when my father took ill I was trying to conclude my clearance as a fresh graduand of chemistry. I received the news and made for home the next day. I was the closest to my dad although I'm the last child. While I went to see him in the hospital he could barely talk, as the stroke had affected his right part of his brain. So I struggled to hear what he told me in the night almost everyone in the hospital was asleep including my brother and sister. He told me that he had a dream where he saw his dead father welcoming him home to there house in the village and the same nyt dream of where one of his close friends that was dead at the time was asked to lead in prayer for them to eat at a gathering. I don't usually take dreams for anything so I told him that they don't mean anything even tho I was scared of the weird dreams. So fast forward to March 27th when we returned from his burial I went into his room to just look around. I opened a bag on top of his wardrobe and saw hundreds of sheets of paper with something written on all. I started reading and found out that they were all recorded dreams dating back to 2000(when we packed into our house) now the weird thing is that it seems this dreams where written down almost daily or at least 3 times a week. I read about 40 of them before I couldn't read anymore cos of the nostalgia it caused. I'm curious if anyone else does this, and should dreams be taken this seriously? |

Millennialaku:if you think both Joe and the other guy hasn't smashed it you are being deceived. I'm telling you |
SalamRushdie:mumu and he quoted me. What a non foolish person would have done is to define ancedotal and thereby prove that I used it out of context. But what a mumu with high intelligence quotient would do is exactly what you have done. Congrats |
DanseMacabre:my brother man if u really need to travel you will definitely find a way. My aunt left for Lagos from aba this morning. She came for my dad's burial on the 25th of March and the lockdown held her back here her husband and her kids no wan hear again. And dis virus is not disappearing any time soon so she gat to find her way. And we just discovered that traveling to any state in Nigeria is still 100% just that u now spend more than double. |
Most of the things we hear or read online about this virus in Nigeria are difficult to believe without doubt. |
SalamRushdie:I know a lot of medical terms. Punk. I didn't waste my years in school. And I used it in context to what I meant. You are the one that is the ignorant African here |
Ancedotal reports are not sufficient to recommend a wide use of a drug |
Design and host a website for your business or school at the cheapest price possible. Offer lasts till lockdown is fully relaxed. |

Lol dis is damn hilarious. Dis Corona don cause kolo for the whole world. She's a bitch, she's just 19 and fucking the whole world |
Space Booker's dat actually have nothing meaningful to say |
So the United States with close to 50k deaths are promising Nigeria ventilators. How ironic that sounds. Seems after 100 years the Europeans are still scavenging for Africa, this time around with more cunning vices. Africa should wake up already and start sending ventilators to US and China. Or is something fundamentally wrong with Africans? Don't tell me about our leaders. Our leaders are still Africans. |
So what am I supposed to do with dis? |
Daboomb:Ok then no complains |
daddytime:You guys started a motion for the prosecution of funke on tweeter, it got the attention of the law enforcement agencies, what stops you people from doing same about this funeral? It's not by ranting on nairaland. I quoted this post because it has the highest number of likes. Y'all are hypocrites |

Ex-GOV DICKSON CONDOLES WITH DIRI, OKOKO FAMILY OVER THE DEATH OF PROMINENT POLITICIAN, KENIEBI OKOKO Former Governor of Bayelsa State, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, has commiserated with the State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, former President of the Ijaw National Congress, Prof Kimse Okoko, father of the late businessman and politician, Keniebi Okoko over his untimely death. Governor Dickson also condoled with the wife of the late politician, his aged parents, his Obunagha community, the Gbarain Clan, Bayelsa State, the Ijaw nation and the PDP family on the sudden death of the politician. Okoko, a successful businessman and gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last governorship contest in Bayelsa state died in a Lagos hospital during a failed surgery on Tuesday at the age of 42. The former Governor who described death of Okoko as painful and sad said that he left indelible marks in the world of business and politics at a young age of 42 in a statement on Wednesday. He said, “Keniebi was somebody we all had a lot of hope in; he proved to be an open minded, accommodating, large hearted, understanding political leader that I encouraged to be under my wing henceforth for political grooming and support. “My family and I are pained and I have made a lot of calls to our leaders. Everybody is pained and we should take it as bad as it is as what God has done. Nobody can question Him.” Honourable Dickson said this period of of COVID 19 was a particularly trying period for Bayelsa with the death of prominent politician George Fente, (still being mourned) and the loss of the wife of Senator Ben Murray Bruce to cancer in the US and the painful death of Okoko. He called on Bayelsans and the Ijaw nation to give the requisite support to the Governor and his team during this challenging period of the COVID19 induced lockdown. The former Governor also urged all Bayelsans and indeed the Ijaw nation to pray against a recurrence of such painful deaths in the state. The Governor who prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Okoko also prayed to God to give the grieving family the fortitude to bear the painful loss. He stressed that Okoko’s death was a heavy blow to Bayelsa and indeed the Ijaw nation. He said that he would personally visit the families of the three prominent people who died recently in the state after the lock down even though he has spoken to them. |
