maoolakanm: I am a Christian that believe in teaching and practising the whole truth of the word of God.And over the past years i have had the privilege to listened to many sermons and messages.A common trend is that most messages are tied or covertly linked to your giving or sacrifice. Are all these messages inspired by God or is it that men of God are becoming more materialistic or better still are their followers becoming more gaulibe?. Any pastor who preach money, prophesy money, material things out of your hand into his in the name of religion is not a man of God, he is at best a thief. Elisha did not take a dine from the people he spiritually transacted with....the power of God does free work....and nobody should pay anything. one may appreciate a pastor.... pastor be caution.....do not accept unless you are led. |

yes the gods are wise. the missionary were successful just like the way jihad is succeful in bornu state. no pastor prayer can change it now, only those who seek for understanding shall be enlighted. seek what ....vague beliefs.....how are you different from a Christian or a Muslim. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Should African Religions Be Preserved? by urheme: 5:59pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
uchenageme: African cultures and religions are better than the western and eastern religions we practice today, they had morals, justice and peace in their codes of conduct but unfortunately our fathers allowed the white men deceive them into substituting our heritage for cheap religions.
Our ways of doing things were far superior to that of the white men; read JOMO KENYATTA's FACING MOUNT KENYA if you doubt me, but we allowed the chance of developing faster than the western world slip by us. Traditional Religion is characterized with wickedness, discrimination, murder, inhuman treatment and mutilation of female children, inequality, gender abuse, dirtiness, environmental pollution and degradation, uncivilization, illiteracy, wife beating, Human sacrifice, charms, occult, false accusation, witch hunting, poverty and wretchedness, polygamy.......all the evil that should not be condole. the white man did not deceive your fathers....rather...they recused them from their barbarous lifestyle |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should African Religions Be Preserved? by urheme: 5:46pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
smile4kenn: Traditional African religions are still alive and well in Africa, says a survey done by the American research organisation, Pew Research Center.
They say that although most Africans identify themselves as either Christian or Muslim, they continue to practice elements of traditional African religions in their daily lives.
Do African traditional religions still have a place today? Do you believe in traditional faiths? Should we do more to teach and preserve them along side Christianity and Islam or simply abandon them?
Yes, definitely, Africa should retain these traditional religions.
It's a shame what is happening to western culture, as we begin to loose our religions to a 'secular materialism'. More than ever we are trying to satisfy ourselves through consumption and greed, which will always fails to provide us with real happiness. It bothers me that we live in such a superficial world now. We have lost our sense of self-reflection, spirituality, and meaning; the philosopher in us has died. African traditional religion or Nigerian traditional religions If these traditional religions played a good role in the society to start with, it wouldn't have been substituted for foreign religions..... We the people threw it away and embrace others because we could see the divided of the activities of E.G missionaries. The traditional man is just a barbarian... so we reject backwardness....is a shame that not one of them is worthy of preservation....they are all bad for equity and good conscience. |

muhammadmuqtar: It is with utmost disdain i read the presidency speech on the plan to ban the use of hijab or veils by muslim women in the country. It is hard to believe that our so called muslim brother- muhammadbuhari can utter that sword-like words in the public. Whats the essence of the constitution if we are denied of our right? Section 38 (1) of the 1999 constitution states that "every person shall be entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching and observance" The use of hijab was not chosen by mosleem women but was mandated for them by God. So, why will the government deny them the right to worship and follow the guidelines of ALLAH subuanah watahlah?
I think this is an issue the muslim societies need to put at bay before it goes odd. lets fight for our right. JOIN THE CAMPAIGN! Your freedom of religion does not give you the right to dangerously encroach on the right of others as well......the same constitution abolished state religion. the hijap has become a societal problem.....an attire for carrying weapons of mass destruction.....both male and female criminals could disguise in them......and beside....it does not look good and it is unhealthy......not only that,....it is not decent...mask is mask.....a tradition or religion that mask and hide people raises suspicion. When your right conflict with that of the general public, you will be denied and even restrained......the hijab has nothing to do with the worship of your god...... |

We've heard stories and seen patients claiming that they got healed of Sickle Cell disease even providing lab test results to back up their claims and still later dying from that same sickle cell disease. so person no go die again ....after healing they should live forever ......pastors don't heal......God heals. you cannot get that miraculous healing with organized religion....pastors who televise miracles use them to attract more members....more members = more offerings and tithe . but Joke apart catfish....there is divine healing whether you believe in it or not. |

geoworldedu: then geraut of hia. u don't know anyone ur god cured, but certainly I am sure u know more than 2 who got amputated and even died of it. Ask urself, that man who died of diabetes around u, didn't he visit churches before he died? why didn't he get cured? That uncle or aunt u know, why isn't he or she cured of diabetes till today? All the numerous cases of diabetes type 1 and 2 which happen to people you know, why are they still there when thousands of people u don't know are the ones sharing testimony? thousands of lame, blind, deaf, cancer patients, you have heard their testimonies, why is it that none of them happen to be d ppl u know? why all d ppl u know are still with their problems? Why do god make ppl, possibly including you, know how to speak in tongue quickly, but you can't have the gift of healing the sick? The gift of tongue which is useless has been given to millions of you but why not the gift of raising that dead friend of urs when he died? why not d gift of healing those lame ppl on d street? Think! i feel your pains sha.....perhaps God is just waiting for you to have that gift of healing.....he is always looking for the one man that is consecrated and sanctified. set your self apart....sufferings is your pains as you hate to see people sick....you are the candidate for that gift. I pray God fills you with His spirit. |

address d topic, not god can, but where are d ppl god cured? We've bin hearing god can since the day we were born, now what we want to know is 'where are the people who know the people god cured of diabetes?' go look for them your self... who is your errand boy ........if you not plague with different ailment you will not be rude and abusive.....you are just a caravan of diseases.... I'm certain you are lame, blind and deaf. i,m certain you have brain cancer and you probably think from your anus though i never heard of this before. i'm certain you have malaria, typhoid, yellow fever, meningitis and ebola.......Hiv is ruled out i'm certain you also have physiological condition from the adverse effect of being possessed by demons.... and heart brake. You have all the diseases.....that is why you create thread on them. your problem is not Christianity, religion or the pastors. you are simply attracted to sickness. God can still heal you. |

geoworldedu: This is put here so we can know if any1 u know directly have been cured of diabetes after seeing the men of god in the churches. Pls don't bring a case of a testimony u heard here. It's the one which directly involves u, ur mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle(not your friends or neighbours, pls) for trust purpose.
Also, if you have a case of those whom u know physically and personally, who have been going to churches for cure without getting cured, pls let's know(could be anyone you know).
Lastly, if anyone bring false testimonies here, may whatever give us energy take it back from the person just joking.
Now let's see how many ppl got cured from diabetes after visiting men of god. pls don't share ur testimonies by faith. Those who did dat died of d same probs they shared testimony about shortly after.
