akintom: I am in the know why you folks, are unconscious of how irritatingly assumptive you're. The chronic assumption syndrome, mutated the rational gene of the apologists, from the very day they embraced the religious jokes, and attach real emotions to them.
What is Christianity if not religion? Didn't your nazarene commanded you to follow him?
Meaning what exactly? A psychoanalysis of your journey, will reveal what you are oblivious of.
The Spirit is called illusion and delusion (no insult intended). let me try and digest your grammar before i understand your pains.....those irritatingly chronic syndrome you are trying to make us understand, are they sickness or diseases illusions aren't dangerous unless is an insane one..... i had rather stay deluded than vicious....it is better i unconsciously love your non existing imaginary being than to consciously irritatingly hate hate hate and it. akintom: What can possibly be more insulting and harassing to a man going through tough times, than a follower of some horrific and monstrous god idea, saying that such tough times were caused by the illusion called god.
For your information, i owe my convictions to my personal discovery, made possible by hard and long hours of studies outside the destructive book called Bible.
Over twenty years of my following in Christian religion, made my in depth knowing of how ridiculous that variant of Abrahamism is.
The folks here, under whatever atheistic influence they write, were unknown to me, prior to my dumping religious idiocy in trash bin.
In like manner of most apologists, you simply assumed too much. perhaps you did not experience the power of God.... rather, you were just religious for over 21 years......you were just following. the same thing happened to me. i dumped religion for a long time....but some how the power of God located me. there is a spirit behind the Christian faith that we all cannot just grasp . |

Intrepid01: I can only infer that Hardmirror never experienced the spiritual realm of Christianity. Even though he claimed to born again at a time, he never experienced the heavenly realm .
If you want to know whether anything is real, test the spirit, if it has a spirit , find out if it is a good one or bad one.
If Christianity and Jesus were conjectured by the Romans, how did they manage to infuse the spiritual aspect of it? That is as real as daylight.
How did they inject so much spiritual power to the bible verses so much that eating the word in the bible brings spiritual upliftment and healing.
You know I intend to do something in future, after achieving an enviable feat in my journey of spiritual realm, I wanna introduce Spirituality to Science. Because I have come to realise nothing exists or occurs in the physical without a footing in the spiritual realm.
If Jesus wasn't real, how come is name does wonders (personal experience) , or is it cos i believe? Maybe i might as well believe my pop man's name if it would do any wonder. so on point my dear. A lot of us don't see beyond the physical.....i just pray the power of God lands him someday......i,m a testimony of God's power. |

HardMirror: John 3:16 "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life
This is the most popular bible verse and perhaps one of the most popular quotes in the world.
Now we are so busy bleating out this quote, we get carried away and fail to see the fault in logic of the quote.
this very quote made me a christian, this very quote made me dump christianity
Here is a flaw you never noticed perhaps.
1. So God loved the world: the bible did not say he loved Jerusalem. The bible did not say he loved the Middle-east. He loved Africa, loved Asia, Loved Australia, Loved south America, loved Europe, loved North America. God loved all the people living in remote Islands. This is soooo good to know
the question is, then why did Jesus die in Jerusalem?
Wait... You probably don't understand yet.
According to christianity, the coming and death of Jesus is the most important event EVER in the entire Human History.
You probably still don't get it. I understand the brainwash is that strong.
So God loved the WHOLE world and he gave Jesus for the world. Then in his stupidity wisdom asked men to spread the most important message ever! A message that would save every man, woman and child from eternal damnation, eternal torment, eternal doom. This wise and loving God did not know it would take over 1000years for the message of Jesus to reach America through the Europeans. What about every tribe in africa? Asia? Europe? Australia? North korea? How long did it take before they even heard of the existence of a man/myth called Jesus?
How many people would have died within that space of time?
So all those people are damned?
If you say no, god would judge them differently, then why spread the story of Jesus at all?
The only reason for this is because the myth of Jesus christ is only a myth created by the romans to put the jews under control. The jews know this and that is why they rejected the story. where will this take you to .....what do you want to achieve with this post why are you so concern with those who are long dead .....who is forcing you to spread the story of Jesus .....are you afraid of dying too. |

Health › Re: 5 Good Ways To Manage Cancer by urheme: 4:20pm On Jan 12, 2017 |
johncreek: Cancer which has eaten deep into our society is also eating deep into the knowledge of how to manage it effectively.
Cancer as we know eats up some if not all cells from the body and inhibits it from reproducing a new and healthy ones. For decades now scientist have been searching for cure but still no way out yet.
The good news is that it can be managed and one can live a meaningful life for a while.
I have compiled some major ways to manage cancer effectively and this methods works fine if properly utilized.
5 BEST WAYS OF MANAGING CANCER
1. Resting: A patient is said to need effective rest when admitted in the hospital, take it or not, A cancerous person is a patient that needs constant monitoring, therefore such person deserves adequate rest in order to have much energy to utilize.
2. Exercising: Over the years exercising has been a major way to tackle some illness and has been proven effective, A patient who can endure and engage in some exercising activities can beat off their illness, the same trick applies to a cancerous patient, as we know this sort of sickness pins one down and makes the cells to be more relaxed and the antibodies becomes weaker, but if exercising is engaged the antibodies helps to restore some down-lines of the tissue thereby prolonging the life span of a cancerous patient.
3. Eat More: Food which is an essential means of getting the body energized must be involved in this fight. Food that contains vitamins must be consumed adequately and regularly in order for the cells and antibodies to function well, food such as vegetables and fruits are mostly recommended and trust me, it works a great deal in fighting cancer.
4. Engage In Activities: My take on this is very high and simple, A lonely mind is at the peak of destruction, don’t be forced by cancer to be put to bed and become so lonely, stand up and engage in something meaningful to distract yourself from your “so called pain” when you engage in extra curriculum activities, you become more alive and you mingle with people a lot, thereby your spirit becomes more alive and you count it a memory to always remember.
5. Reduce Mental Stress: When ever you feel stressed up in getting something done, don’t consider yourself handicap by calling for help, we sometimes have to lean on someone to get somethings actually done. Call for for help when needed so as to live longer than expected, consider yourself a prime target of ridicule if you are seen stressed out, fight it and live it.
CONCLUSION
Cancer should not be seen as the end of one’s life, just like any other illness that has no cure, staying alive and making it count should be the ultimate desire of anyone living with Cancer. Stay alive and Fight it.
Source: http://www.healthsolited.com/2017/01/11/5-good-ways-manage-cancer/ why will one manage cancer when God can cure it....kick sin out of your life and a sincere prayer......cancer back to the pit of hell. |

Christianity Etc › Re: D by urheme: 3:52pm On Jan 12, 2017 |
Lennycool: The experiment goes like this, next time you have a physically visible injury (I insist on visible because most so called healings are just placebo effects that alter our mental state, if its visible no matter how well you feel the cut would still be there, your altered mind has little effect on the physical) , like a cut on your skin, a burn e.t.c you should pray to God to heal you. If prayer really worked you should be healed in a matter of minutes or atmost an hour. But many reading this already know the prayer won't work and might already be coming up with these excuses
Faith: If it doesn't work most might come up with the excuse that they don't have enough faith, yet Jesus said that if only you possess faith as small as a mustard seed you should be able to move mountains, so that much faith shouldn't be required for a simple injury.
Testing God: Again most might come up with the excuse that they are testing God, but again this would be wrong, you have an injury and you're in pain, you ask your heavenly father to heal you. How is this testing God?
God has his own time:,Another excuse might be that God takes his time, but again this is just another attempt to deny the obvious, why should God wait that long to heal you of something that is presently causing you pain?
You can't deny the obvious, the prayer won't work because no one is answering them.
The Templeton foundation has even carried out research on prayers, and found them even detrimental to the health of sick patients. Sorry e ooo. I'm a beneficiary of the instant healing power of God, i have also experience gradual healing by praying to God, I am also a beneficiary of the divine health power of God.....i don't take drugs at all. i believe God can heal anything sickness including heart break irrespective of your faith. It is your sins and iniquities that has restrain you from benefiting from this power.......search your self. |

Since the dawn of human life, and up to this day, there has been so much Ado about spirituality.
In fact, spiritual mumbo jumbos occupy a grossly disproportionate part of the African mind in this 21st century. Why?
Looking back at the last 6,000 yrs recorded human history, what has the pursuit of " the spiritual" ever benefited humankind?
Thousands of so-called prophets, wise men, enlightened souls, gurus, sons , daughters, nephews and nieces of god have come and gone, and in most cases, left their environments worse than they met them.
Aside from hurling humankind from one dark pit right into another, in what ways have the pursuit of the " spiritual" positively advanced the human trek?
C:C Deepsight. Deepsight seems to be your only challenge on this forum... Ok spirituality does not epp but God Helps......are you happy now |

I am tired of the influence of religion in Nigerian politics. These churches have billions of Naira and wield a lot of power. A church can shut down traffic without suffering consequences. hmmph!
So, I want to start a secular church but i need good ideas. Be serious oo! We atheists too need that tax-free income. Let's make billions!!
1) What should we call the church? Anointing Holy Nuclear Fire Ministries? Humanist church of Nigeria? Dawkins ministries of science and wonder? Mountain of Evidence ministries? Church of the Atom?
2) What would be our sunday programme? Quick 20 mins sermon then family barbecue? Debates and guest speakers on philosophy? Marijuana parties and orgies?
Abeg, I need your ideas.
