SoftBread01: I did my OND in Akpoly, Civil Eng. but came out with a lower credit. I've never considered AKSU as a choice but with such a good grade as yours, giving it a shot won't be a bad idea. Thanks for stopping by. I learned that Aksu has a prolonged academic calendar compared to Uniuyo and CRUTEC. I stand to be corrected though. I need a school that has a more fast academic sessions. I am working and I got no time to waste, exception of strikes. Are you currently pursuing any direct entry admission?. please if have any assistance you p. m me. thanks |

[quote author=doctokwus post=73018289]. Yes,I am into truck pushing and struggling to make ends meet with the 50-200 I get paid per load. But this truckpusher and even garbage pickers have got far more sense than you and I can bet anything u never entered the civil service by merit. Its most likely you used your private parts to auction your way to the job and having wasted yourself, frustration has now set in,and u therefore see everyone as your enemy that doesn't want u to get as much money as quickly as u can, because your diminishing returns in your body can no longer fetch u as much money as it used to before. Take heart, you can't cheat nature.I am not your enemy, neither is nature.U are just being hunted by the grave errors u made in life.[/quote/
Exactly what is expected from a truck pusher. Real men that made real money don't brag about their returns. Every other bullshit you typed in there doesn't worth my attention. YOU ARE JUST AN IDIOTIC AND A DIRTY TRUCK PUSHER. Kiss the truth. |

doctokwus: Sentiments are over riding reality here. The truth is that there will be grave repercussions for everyone if this 66% wage increase is implemented. Its not feasible for now. Let them start at 23-24k then in a few years time it should be reviewed and maybe adjusted again. For a start minimum wage increase to 30k will likely see fuel price increased to N180 at least by whoever wins the next election because the goverment has to free money somewhere to get d new salary finance.Ditto,VAT and electricity cost would definitely go up. Transport costs would skyrocket and other costs will increase correspondingly. Sentiments should not override commonsense and economic logic. The truth is you are not a public/civil servant. Don't be bad belly. wishing you well in your truck pushing business anyway |

Your problem is within you. You don't have a money problem, but an attitude problem. Calling your hubby 'an irresponsible man' in a public domain, no matter how pained you are is a height of insensitivity to his pride as a man. Go back and salvage your marriage and work together as a family then more blessings will overflow. or better still get a proper divorce if there are irreconcilable issues and move on, so as not be more distracted in your day to day hustle. |

Are you from Akwa Ibom State? If yes, be honest to yourself and explain in more clear terms how Udom is industrializing the State and not owing salaries? As an insider in the State Civil Service, I can tell you with no strings attached to politics that we have not been so victimized and denied our rights in the State Service than now. Udom has been paying half salaries since 2015, and he refuses to pay the arrears even with so much money that is accrued to the State by the FG recently, if you are in doubt called any state civil servant that was promoted since 2014, 2015 and 2016 and ask.

theoldpretender: NB: This is not a defence of the government, but an explanation if you will of why we should stop being a monoeconomy.
And with that...here is why the $81 oil price won't improve Nigeria's economy
1.We need oil to be at $140 per barrel to be able to have a balanced budget. $81 does not even reach that threshold.
2.Because oil has been below the $140 threshold since the government took over....we will still need to takeloans, and we will continue to take loans until oil reaches the breakeven point of $140...and even after that, we will still be paying back loans.
3.That is how we have been operating since long before 1999. No matter how high or low oil is, we always would keep on taking loan after loan UNTIL we reach the breakeven price...and even then....
4.Even during the last oil boom of 2011-14, because oil was not at the breakeven for those years....we still took loans.
5.The only way forward is simple. We have to
a) End subsides, so that we can save more money and encourage investment...which means more jobs. Yes, fuel will goup....but more investors ,local and foreign will come in, and jobs will be saved.
b)Take strategic loans for power and transport alone...so that we can improve things. Br c) End price controls in the power sector. DISCOS cannot make much money on power bills of N2000 a month for me tered houses. That way, more money and investment flows into the power sector.
d) Cliche...but we must really 'pight kwarrupshion'. Bros, I don't understand. I thought our annual budgets are always predicated at a certain feasible amount of oil sales as a benchmark. This year's budget was less than $50 per barrel. Can't we work with what is available and forgets about reaching the threshold? Please I want to be educated. |

Who knows Aniekan Etiebet in Akwa Ibom Politics? Can anybody beat his or her chest and say sincerely that the said Aniekan can win even a village chief election conducted by his family members? The resounding name in Akwa Ibom politics has always been Chief Don Etiebet and his position in APC is intact. Why are PDP so desperate to point of using a low life from Etiebet's family for an unwarranted popularity. I am neither APC nor PDP but I will vote my conscience this time. |

Ubty: Drove into a FRSC checkpoint today; with all manner of confidence since I am sure every of my paperwork and other stuffs are intact. One of the officers flagged me, requested for my driver's license which I gave to him (d original). To my surprise, he went to write a ticket. When I asked why he is issuing me a ticket, he replied with "your vehicle is to be impounded because you are using the old number plate". I was really shocked at this point cos I am not aware we were to change our old number plate anymore since it was resolved sometime ago (except for those that are buying a new, tokunbo or used vehicle). Not to mention the 'millions' of vehicle that were passing us bearing d old number plate, some of which he will flag, check other stuffs, smile and let them go. So please I am asking if we were again told to change d plates, since I have not heard it being announced. Cos I feel I wanna be extorted. Are you typing this still on the frsc check point, or you vehicle has been impounded already? Have you been booked?. If yes, with what offence(s). Let's know where this is happening. More update please |

When banks connive with corrupt government agencies to commit crimes, they should be punished.
Udom Emmanuel must sit up and face reality. This is clearly the type of politics that Akpabio engages in. Udom must use "iron hand" to curtail the excesses and power that Godwill Akpabio continues to wield.
Going to church to preach every sunday will not help! Believe me god or some spirits won't hep you! Akpabio is very daring and must not be toyed with.
Udom must not allow Akpabio to breathe anyway in that state. Akpabio did this to all the PDP members who ran to APC. Udom should hunt and physically attack Akpabio anytime he's in the state. The idea is to have Akpabio runaway from the state and not return, just like Akpabio did to Victor Attah

Akpabio does not own Akwa Ibom state. Akpabio must be stopped using ALL means necessary. Now, go back and read this trash that you just posted and come back and tell us if it makes any sense to you. |

Obviously, they are panicking and feeling the heat from the APC. your head dey there. why a sudden upsurge of rallies everywhere?. They were deceiving us that there is no money in the State, but where is all the monies for these rallies coming from. The truth is that APC has a very good chance with the recent defections and many more that is yet to come. Don't mine all the political jobbers. With all the flaws of PDP led government in Aks, APC has a clear areas to campaign on. Aks is a civil service state, and I can tell you that no civil servant is genuinely happy with this administration. We all stand with any Government that will not only promote civil servant as at when due but will pay all their promotion arrears. It is their due and their right. We stand with Pension and gratuity. I know all this because my husband is from Aks and he is a civil servant. If you are a civil servant from Aks, you will understand better. |
