I had similar issues. I managed to get through to them. And I was able to get it using their promo code.. $4.99

I chatted with their customer service representative (a lady), and i must say she was quite chatty, really friendly and cool . I asked her what's up with their system not accepting cards,. She told me their system has been programmed not to allow certain cards because of scammers and other related activities but assured me she's gonna help me out.
She even appraised some of my domain (and told me they will sell really high if I wait for the right time) and wished me well in my domain flipping/investment career..

I made a mistake while writing the URL of my domain in the sales later. I wrote the singular instead of plural. Probably the end user visit the link but didn't see price because he just asked me how much.

Thus I've written the price at the extreme end of the latter. I don't know how he didn't see it.

The problem is that Another domainer has already listed the singular with Afternic lander.

Should I tell him a price and drop the real URL ?

And should I change my lander to Afternic since probably he has already visited the wrong URL?

If I were to be in your shoes this is what I will do.


Try and check for the singular using the search box on Afternic... afterwards, you reply the the end-user telling him/her the Price. That you're ready to let it go for a lower price if he/she is to buy it within the next 48hours..

For example:
After checking the price for the singular, you realize that it costs $700. You then reply the enduser, with 650 telling him that you're willing to let it go for 450 if he/she is going to get it within 48hours. Stating clearly that he should kindly follow the link below to Buy it now.

NB: the link should be the plural using Dan's lander.

I faced same issue severally so I thought to place a call through to them.

They assisted me in registering the name within few minutes after connecting to a customer care agent of theirs.

You verbally call/spell the name to them and they will immediately register it on your behalf, after your card/payment details must have been saved on the website though.

Try to call them on business days and their working ours.

Do you have an active DOM account with GTB? If you answer yes, there's possibility that the fund has been transferred into your USD account.

How did I know this?

DAN sent a payment to my GTB NAIRA account but got to know that the fund was redirected to my USD account. This took me more than 15 days to discover.

The reason for this weird occurrence? I simply don't know.

Kindly follow up with Afternic and if possible, get the TELEX COPY of the transaction, because GTB customer service will surely request for same upon enquiry.
