As far as I am concern,GEJ remains the best candidate,he is the child of necessity tha t we have for I now,I have not seen any better candidate for the mean time Walahi... |
This is rather unfortunate and a cheap blackmail, for the NPF to discredit another Agency to gain cheap popularity leaves much to be desired, when we compare the NPF and the DSS records the DSS will score highier because the NPF is a huge disappointment to many Nigerians. |
Sincere 9gerian: The national assembly is an independent arm of govt, the presidency have nothing to do with the outcome of their committee report. The truth of the matter is that the president has been having it ROUGH with the house of reps. The house of reps has the CAPABILITY to FRUSTRATE the executive,eg they may stall the budget, block crucial bills, block the proposed borrowing plan, etc. In recognition of this UNDENIABLE fact, it is only SENSIBLE for the president to thread softly. What will it profit GEJ if he puts Farouk to jail now and the house of reps in turn send his policies and programmes to jail too? First is that the country as a whole will lose and GEJ himself will be frustrated. It is lose, lose situation for all. Only MISCHIEF MAKERS like @Gbawe..,would rejoice over such situation and turn around to blame the president for doing NOTHING. For me in particular, putting Farouk in prison will not give me a 2nd Niger bridge. And if not putting Farouk in prison for now, will give me a 2nd Niger bridge, then I dont mind. Whether we like it or not, Farouk Lawan has been NAMED AND SHAMED and his political career TRUNCATED. If those who stole in the past were NAMED AND SHAMED, perhaps corruption would have reduced by now. The president is a sensible and strategic person and the sensible thing to do for NOW that his relationship with the house of reps is shaky is to put the Farouk case in the COOLER for now. Perhaps when he gets a better hold on the house of reps or in a much stronger position, he may then prosecute Farouk. This is being REALISTICThe truth of the matter is that manner people on this platform don't even know anything abt the govt...it's so sad. |
PrettyRita: Old age at work. Mustn't be taken seriouslyU can say that again.... |
Fain Kayode is just living in the past, war is always the last resort in a conflict, the soldiers couldn't have gone to Zaki Biam or Odi on their own volition, there was an order OBJ must take responsibility and we don't a repeat of that.... |
Sealeddeal: Its only someone who has not witnesssed military occupation or someone who is ignorant of histroy, that will support OBJ's advice on tackling of BH not least his suppositon that 'military attrition will solve Boko Haram insurgency'. In 2006,military invaded anambra state and then,i understood what it means to be under military occupation.this is even when the treatment of Odi and Zaki-ibiam was not meted on anambra but what we saw was 'hell'.Since Boko Haram started,i have always said that Boko Haram cannot be defeated with war.If federal govt had stepped up assault on Niger delta militants then, they(FG) could have won because of the topography of the region which is bounded by ocean. But miltary invasion of Odi/Zaki-ibiam style cannot work in north because of topography.when u look at north, there are several countries sharing border with that region and all these countries are haven of terrorists and such area can provide a shelter for Boko Haram and Nigeria porous border, which cant be policed, will allow them to carry-out different styles of cross-border attacks in the manner of Taliban of Afghanistan.Secondly, the economic cost of such military activities will be better imagined. Nigeria is looking for Foreign Direct Investment,if Govt invade a region, how can the same govt convince a foreigner that Nigeria is not in serious war.another thing is the destruction of properties/agricultural activities that will be enormous. Thirdly, the number of casualties will be great and question is,who will be this victims? Civillians or armed men? Answer is,'civilian'. And since govt cannot police its border, does it mean that Nigeria will continue the war perpetually? How will poor northerners be during this war. Govt should not allow a repeat of Biafra war/Odi and Zaki-ibam massacre to happen in any other part of nigeria again. Even if military achieve its purpose, the peace will not last because the cause of the conflict is Ideological. GEJ's effort so far is commendable.Dialogue is the best option.I totally agree with your analysis, posterity will judge any administration that engages in war with whatever group, some people have been criticizing the amnesty programme, but it is one of the best things that have ever taken place, war is not an option, what the JTF is doing now is the right step in the right direction curtailing further damage, and I see this crises ending soon. |
Of a truth it was the best performance of the president since he came to power, his words and body language shows someone who is incharge and committed to bring changes in the country..i think we should give the president the benefit of the doubt and see what he has for us soon as he promised, after all Rome was not build in a day. |
Our orientation must change towards foreign reports,we must be careful not to be victims of circumstances Nigeria is the only country we have,we must not allow outsiders to spoil it for us. |
Omojuo: Even God called his creatures for dialogue. This is the only way out. Force can only guarantee momentary peace. Dialogue brings about long term peace. GEJ isn't a military, Obj shouldn't teach him crude methodU can say that again oh....peace is all we need not blood bath... |
The carrot and stick approach remains the best option to manage terror,Boko Haram is an evil group but they are still Nigerians it must have informed the the present administration to contemplate dialogue as an option while military activities is carried out to check their excesses. The OBJ approach of killing the enemy must have worked for him in the past, but the Boko Haram crises has to do with ideology which is difficult to kill,I think the govt is on the right course OBJ is just crying more than the bereaved. |
Demdem: dumbo, if u dont know, i have been following the retardeen activities right from bayelsa here and his cluelessness in governance isnt new to me. i know what am talking about.Fir all I care he is still your president... |
Demdem: Dumbo, does the retardeen not suck in governance?Like you are doing on NL abi,in terms of performance u only specialise in criticism that's your talent. |
packman: whats wrong with he saidhe should have respect for this office not only for the man. |
packman: [size=20pt]Maybe you ate better than him, leave my President alone...he is the one only one we have for now. |
Demdem: I dont hate him. he is a wonderful gentleman. I just hate the dumbness and cluelessness he brings to Governance. He sucks terribly in this aspect.u no go ever talk better thing.....mr perfect |
Beyond the confusion and misgivings that ensued during the submission of the report of the Petroleum Revenue Task Force headed by the former EFCC Chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who is a member of an opposition party, a feat rarely heard of in the history of the country. I believe that there is need for Nigerians to focus on the content of the report and its implementation instead of the show of shame by Oronsaye and his cohort. GEJ’s administration is poised to purge the system of corruption and this is exactly what he is doing. All what he needs is the support and cooperation of Nigerians, and corruption will be a thing of the past. Let’s forget about the drama and look forward towards drastic changes in the Petroleum sector as GEJ acts on the report. I still have high hopes that changes will come to the petroleum sector. No body is saying that there is no corruption in the system, but the question still lingering is; Is corruption only peculiar to the GEJ administration alone? http://leadership.ng/nga/articles/39631/2012/11/09/oil_sector_probe_ribadus_report_shoddy_presidency.html |
Is there any fraud more than impregnating a lady and denying it...the problem is that we are giving this Dino too much attention he comes out and says rubbish with a lot of media hype,Dino is just a noise maker who cooks lies and shamelessly vomit it out,is only a shallow minded person will take Dino Melaye serious. |
A close confidant of Gen Muhammadu Buhari who pleaded anonymunity confessed that the Daura General was angry with the Republican candidate Mitt Romney over the fallout of the US Presidential elections which the incumbent Barack Obama won in a tight race,Buhari was sad because Mitt Romney congratulated the President instead of going to court to challenge the results which according to the General is marred by irregularities in some States,he lamented that Mitt Romney is a defeatist who should have fought to the very end.....Nairalanders abeg make wuna help see this matter is General Buhari right on wrong? |
my major concern are they witnesses bundle on complainants I see them testifying falsehood and doom, even the judge justice Salami is not clean, plenty Wahala go dey for this tribunal oh...I just pray this is a dream |
Pls can somebody tell me a better name they deserve?evil people with evil intentions are not only not uncivilized they are barbaric... |
nagoma: El- Rufa'i is telling the truth , you are a bigot so you cannot see it. JTF and BH are the two killing machines in that region. No harm exploring to see which one of them killed the retired general. That is open mindedness.Right now i am in Maidguri,i have been there all my life, you want to be more Catholic than the Pope,El rufai knows nothing abt what is happening here he just sits and tweets nonsense, i want to assure you that we prefer the JTF here if not everybody would have been killed by now,abi you want Maiduguri to be like Mali where the Toeake Rebels are tormenting people? The JTF has its weaknesses but it is a necessary evil,i rather get killed by the JTF stray bullet than the evil called BH... |
ITbomb: How many the army don kill?Dou you think the Army will just like to kill any one like that? The BH are blood thirsty people with evil intentions.. |
fried-rice:His achievements as FCT minister are totally insignificant at this point in time,he has rubbish all he has achieved with folly, he has lost respect from people because of his childish behaviour and bigotry.Cant you see that the short mallam is desperate and has lost touch with reality?nobody is saying that the govt is perfect and without fault, but condemning everything out rightly is not a good judgement if we are to tel ourselves the truth. |
Miffed at his nomination by the violent Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram, former military dictator, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has cried out that the sect did not consult with him before nominating him. Speaking through his closest confidante, Buba Galadima, who is also the Secretary General if his party, the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC Buhari said "the whole thing to him, is just speculation. And since nobody has contacted him as a person for him to even know who is behind what, and what are the motives of the whole exercise, he would not speak to the press.” It will be recalled that Boko Haram had named Buhari as a mediator for their side in proposed peace talks which the sect which has murdered thousands wants held in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, a Northern Christian group, Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) has declared that the nomination of Buhari by Boko Haram is an indication that he inspires the group. In a statement released yesterday the group listed incidences from Buhari's past which tally with some of the aims and objectives of Boko Haram. NaijaPundit brings you the statement below; Boko Haram and Buhari-More Than Meets the Eye Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) notes with considerable alarm that the group known as Boko Haram has identified former Military Head of State and Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) as its nominee in dialogue talks with the Federal Government in pursuance of a ceasefire. We at CHAIN consider this a major telling point in the exposition of those behind this violent and murderous Islamic sect that has been behind the murders of thousands of innocent Nigerians of all faiths but mostly of the Christian faith. When we raised the alarm that Muhammadu Buhari’s comments indicated that he is an inspiration to this group we were called all sorts of name, but it may perhaps be wise to remind Nigerians of the following; i. In 1984 after his successful coup, Buhari who is from the North, named a fellow Northerner and Muslim as his military Vice. ii. In 2011 at the height of the Shari’a riots in Kaduna, Buhari’s comments inflamed passions when he criticized the FG’s call for temporary suspension of the plan. iii. In 2002 Buhari openly called on Muslims to vote only Muslim candidates. iv. In the same 2002, his comments during the ‘Miss World’ riots added fuel to the rioters. v. In 2011 just before the election Buhari was widely reported to have asked his followers to “lynch” anyone who tried to rig the elections. vi. After the 2011 elections, Buhari’s supporters spearheaded the Post Election violence that left thousands dead including many Youth Corp Members. vii. In May 2011, the CPC unashamedly bailed out 600 suspects of the Post Election violence from police cells as reported by Vanguard of May 23, 2011. viii. After the upsurge in Boko Haram attacks, Muhammadu Buhari has never condemned the activities of the sect. ix. On the 14th of May, 2012, Buhari while speaking to his supporters in Kaduna declared that “the Dog and the Baboon will both be soaked in blood” in 2015. And after the aforementioned, we now wake up today to see that the chickens have come home to roost and the masquerade has been unmasked! Why would Boko Haram choose Muhammadu Buhari, a man who has been tainted by violence to mediate talks? A man who has never hidden his partiality for one religion over Nigeria? Why would Boko Haram choose Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim a man who just two weeks ago threatened Nigeria with fiercer Boko Haram attacks if the Northeast does not get more funding? We at CHAIN say that there is more to this than meets the eye. We therefore call on Muhammadu Buhari to declare his interests in Boko Haram. We call on him to make a full disclosure on the sect. there are too many coincidences and too many deaths have occurred for us to keep quiet. On Social Media, his boy, Nasir Elrufai, constantly defends the sect, accusing Christians of being behind the bombings and calling on the military Joint Task Force to leave the North. Is it now a coincidence that at a time when the JTF is closing in on the sect that they now spring their Buhari joker? We recall that it was members of Buhari’s party and inner caucus that were publicly and bitterly critical of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) President when he asked the U.S. Congress to declare Boko Haram a terrorist group. These are people that will not condemn Boko Haram but are quick to condemn those who condemn Boko Haram. We at CHAIN therefore call on Buhari to come out clean and urge Nigerians to note his response or lack of it and make their own judgments as to the matter. Pastor Caleb Maaji CHAIN http://www.naijapundit.com/news/boko-haram-never-consulted-me-before-choosing-me-buhari |
Pall these are damage control measures,Buhari is already expose...let Buhari himself response not anybody doing so on his behave, all these big grammars are useless and counter productive it is an open secret that Buhari is not innocent in the Boko Haram matter... |
Only their father can rescue,Buhari is part of the make up,now that the govt is winning the war they want him to negotiate, nobody will ever convince me that Buhari doesn't know anything abt Boko Haram, just look at it now the children are calling for their father to rescue them.... |

ndu_chucks: This is why you do not wait until you have the natural disasters before building dams which would minimize the effects of those disasters.I Thot we are talking abt the present, why not give govt the benefit of the doubt to see what they will do this time around.. |
