EducationRe: Nitda Scholarship Scheme Exams by uzoexcel(m): 10:07pm On Apr 25, 2013
go thru all i posted and it should help u...I m really disappointed with some of my fellow/ex scholars who see this forum as a money making venture by trying to sell past questions for young guys here who are trying to progress...You should know that what goes around comes around!!!!
Most of the past question(s) been sold are fake...The DG of NITDA is a very strict and responsible man from the north and word was that he marked the papers himself (50 per day) without entrusting it to any one/body as he did not trust people under him...Unlike most scholarship schemes in naija, this was purely by merit.I can attest to that as me and my fellow scholar from my state had no 'connection' within the organisation and in abuja...The man is due to retire this year and i m sure the scheme will soon fall in the way of our usual 'naija levels'. Try ur best and may God be with you all..ciao!!!!

sorry,i have been very busy with exams and also not been checkn my yahoo box for mails as i use my schls' own...
>
> how is everything?, i believe everything is well...Concerning the scholarship scheme.
>
>
> FOR THE EXAM, see the following details below :
> The scholarship was based on the exam, which had 100 questions (objective), to be answered in one hour. Your speed and accuracy matters most and also strict adherence to instructions.i will come to that in a bit. There were 4 sections if i remember correctly; maths/quantitative, english, IT/computer science and current affairs
> The exam included the following topics / subject areas :
>
> a. computer applications
> b. database management
> c. software engineering, software design cycle
> f. data communications ( CCNA basic stuffs, routers , etc)
> g. computer programming ( q- basic language)
> h. GMAT ( mathematics)
> i. english (logical reasoning)
>
>
>Lemme break it down further...the gmat english were taken from the 'logical reasoning' part of gmats... i m nt too sure but guys who wrote the exam wid me said its in gmats textbook(logical reasoning)...
>
>for the computer section, as i mentioned earlier, fellow beneficiaries of the scholarship told me that majority of the questions were taken from the "GMAT" book they bought during NYSC for the last 3years (2009 till 2011) of our set and so all they did was to cram the answers. So please, thoroughly go through the COMPUTER SCIENCE TEST of the book for the year (i.e 2010 till 2012).CRAM ANSWERS AS THEY BRING IT WORD FOR WORD....
>
>for the current affairs,go to NITDA website and browse everything on them from the name of the DG to when it was formed etc...

>THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT U MUST BE FAST....EVEN IF U ARE VERY GOOD IN MATHS,U MAY HAVE TO START OTHER SECTIONS AS THE MATHS SECTION IS DESIGNED TO SLOW U DOWN...SPEED AND TIME MANAGEMENT IS OF THE ESSENCE!!!!

u ddnt mention the start point of ur destination?u going from oweeri or bayelsa to those afore-mentioned placeshuh
vivian chinaza: Yes I do sleep in public vehicles but it depends on the distance of the journey. For instance, if I'm going to Phc or Warri, there won't be need for sleep, but if I'm going to Abj or Lag? I'd definitely sleep at some point. I do not snore tho.

mondi_cheeks: hehehe nawa ooo...people that have nothing to do with their extra time do this

oh well we all do that

I love and respect myself enough not to watch someone walk over me... I can't do that

I can't force what's not meant to be though undecided

definitely if he deserves it

Im not good wit bottling things up, because if I eventually explode its not going to be pretty. I prefer expressing how I feel when I'm feeling it...I'm much more calm then

I don't like people who think they can get away wit being arrogant and rude towards me...I always give them a reminder...just remember that they are 7billion people on earth in case u start feeling too special
.

don't take advantage of a woman who loves and respects you, if u don't want to lose her. There is no need to treat her otherwise only to realise how much she is worth after she is gone... smiley

swth8,where have u beenhuh? wink
freecocoa: All of you on the OP's neck about crying and whining should shut ya foul mouths cos you obviously don't know what such behavior from one's parents can do to a kid.

It probably started right from when he was a child and had to grow up thinking he isn't loved by his dad and that definitely will have a negative effect on him.

I'm from a family where my dad never hid the fact that I am his favorite child, it created a rift amongst my siblings and I as kids, if not that my mum was a very wise woman and came to the rescue her own way, I don't think my siblings and I would be seeing eye to eye, my dad definitely loved my siblings but kids are very sensitive so may not understand it that way since he was always favoring one more.

Parents should learn how to manage favoritism so that it doesn't cause problems amongst their offspring, ofcourse its natural to be drawn to a particular child because of one factor or the other but make sure all your kids feel loved.

OP, you are now a grown man just see it as nothing as I'm sure your dad loves you, he trained you in school or didn't he? You just have to understand that everything cannot go the way you want it, look at it as just a normal thing cos such happens in many families though I think your dad is taking it a bit far, you should talk to him about it cos he may not really know the effect its having on you and let your brother understand that you are not cool with him disrespecting you, if your brother is a wise person, he'd know how to behave. I have an only and elder brother yet I'm the one my dad would tell anything he wants to do first, I know his businesses better than my siblings, we are grown now and they understand that he's just naturally drawn to me so they don't fret anymore about it since he still performs his fatherly duty towards them and I don't rub it in their faces, I even let them in on what my dad tells me most times so they don't feel left out.

His giving your brother his land documents and go ahead to sell the land doesn't make you any less his son, it may just be that your brother could handle it better than you which isn't a bad thing since everyone can't be the same, its really nothing so just be strong and carry on with your life.

PoliticsRe: Afenifere To Boko Haram: Our Ancestors Will Finish You by uzoexcel(m): 11:31pm On Mar 27, 2013
u dingbat!!!!!!!was thinking this 'ancestor' thing was a joke but the way you carrying on about it obviously shows you retardedd man....ffs, 'tis the 21st century....what the hell is the meaning of 'our ancestors are the oga on top to your ancestors.'...cant believe i m exchanging words with a nitwit...what happened to all the free education and shittt u were given
Tolexander: you are wonderfully and enormously stup1d.
Any serious case of rigging in 1999?
There were 2 presidential candidates in nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo contesting under the platform of PDP from the south west, Olu Falae contesting under the platform of AD also from the south west.
I understand that your genetical and environmental lack of both acquired and inborn instinct and wisdom wouldn't make you understand that the ancestors has automatically imposed the yorubas on nigeria in 1999 either yoruba voted or not.

Who told your ancestors to be dumbb and docile to had voted OBJ.

Well. Seems our ancestors are the oga on top to your ancestors.
PoliticsRe: Afenifere To Boko Haram: Our Ancestors Will Finish You by uzoexcel(m): 1:24pm On Mar 27, 2013
idiottttttttttttttttt!!!!!so for the '99 case, ur ancestors were into rigging and shit huh huh huh.. also if i recall none of u in the south west voted for obj '99...may be u werent aware as u werent born then
Tolexander: the summary of what our ancestors did is they killed Abacha like a hen!

You won't understand it was our ancestors that killed him!

Our ancestors collected 1993 agony from us, 1st pacify us with August 26, 1993- November 17, 1993 and finally gave us May 29,1999-May 29. 2007. They've really tried now. Actually we aren't the only tribe in nigeria. Compared to some people whose ancestors had long left them since July 29, 1966.
PoliticsRe: Afenifere To Boko Haram: Our Ancestors Will Finish You by uzoexcel(m): 1:19pm On Mar 27, 2013
u should have highlighted both words you are referencing
It is 'prof' and not 'proff'.
Bobandgreat:

Proff. Tolex, the correct english is " It is typed prof. and not proff".

The capital A in ur sentence should have been small letter a. Hope u search google well in ur next response.
PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by uzoexcel(m): 4:11pm On Mar 24, 2013
perusing through all the comments made here has reinforced my belief that no matter what happens nigeria will never see itself as one and i really curse all our social studies and history teachers who lied to us.......if achebe or any other writer had written tons of books encouraging Nigeria's togetherness, would it affect ur opinion of ur fellow man from another tribe...i feel he simply said what had to be said without mincing words and i m keeping my opinions personal but it should no way cloud my thinking...look at all of u.....supporting or attacking achebe based on tribal/ethnic sentiments instead of been objectivehuh?most of u even profess to be xtians/muslims but u still full of bigotry...hw in the hell ll ur God/Allah judge u on the last dayhuhaccording to ur tribe or religionhuhmay be God will say igbos this line, yorubas that line etchuh...i sometimes feel the parable of the good samaritan was made for Nigerians!!!!!

i copied the following two lines from ypilizy and Boss...this are some of the sensible comments have seen so far here

So from the question 'Did Achebe actually do anything to promote development in Nigeria' we are now asking what he did for almajiri and restive youths. You are just laughable. OK, for argument sake, lets all agree that he contributed to intellectual development. That by the way was what writers are supposed to do, and he did it better than you can ever imagine. Apart from that, he left his job and also spoke and wrote against dictatorship and bad governance. What else did you want him to do? Go around distributing keke marwa and sewing machines? If the government improved the country as he advocated, there would be no need for keke marwa and sewing machine distrubution. Get it?

Please add man of the people to your list. 6 weeks after the book was released, the first coup in the country took place. Also add his essay attacking Joseph Conrad. That essay is still been studied. The essay resulted to a lot of provocation from the western world, a time when Conrad was celebrated as a literary icon. I also believe, the essay was behind the reason achebe was never honoured with the noble prize for literature even when there was an outcry for him to be recognized.

ELgordo: Weapons of mass destruction are
in plentiful supply around us. The
lust of the flesh and the lust of the
eyes and the pride of life are
coming non-stop all in an effort to
destroy us. And what do we do?
Absolutely everything we can to tell
God to go back to where He came
from. And then get mad that our
world is turning into hell?
God makes an “allowance” and lets
us go on our way to a pig pit of
living outside of His domain and in
that pig pit is: “Breaking News” that
should be causing us all to come to
our senses, to wake-up and
remember that Jesus said, “in My
Father’s house.”

* i'd put my arms in my shirt and told people i lost my arms

* Would restart the video game whenever i knew i was going to loose

* Had that one pen with four colors and tried to push all the bottons at once

* Waited behind a door to scare someone then leaving behind because they are taking too long to come out

* Faking being asleep so i could be carried to bed

* Used to think that the moon followed our car

* Tried to balance the switch between on/off

* Watching two drops of rain roll down the window and pretending it was a race

* The only thing i had to take care of was a school bag

* Swallowed a food seed i was scared to death that a tree was going to grow on my head

* Closed the fridge slowly to see when the light goes off

* Walked into a room, forgot what you need, walked out and then remember

I'm one of those "grown men" of which you speak, and I'll have you know that Naruto is not a "cartoon". It's the best thing that happened since ramen! It's the gift of the gods. I'm so addicted to Naruto that I can't wait for the next manga chapter to come out. I've got all chapters from 1 to 617. True story. Now go kiss a shark.
