PS Lexus has heated seat as standard, satnav, cruise control, automatic headlights, automatic seats with memory adjustments, speed sensing steering, auto dimming rear view mirror, rain sensing wipers and SRS airbags And I forgot a 3.2L engine so 0 - 60 in about 7 seconds I am bored now. The re-arrest isn't right, but its legal. They released him on one chatge and re-arrested him on fresh charges. Its called playing the system.

I am afraid it was an unlawful arrest. It is not legal either due to the flagrant abuse of due process. There were no reasonable grounds provided at scene and the necessity to do it during a live court hearing is frowned on all over the world. Also what offence exactly? Shouldn’t his legal team be made privy of these fathom charges so it can be challenged in court?

Of all the pressing issues in Nigeria currently, one celebrity pressing his wife’s chesticles is a topic worthy of discussion on Nairaland? Pun not intended.

The court issued an order for his release - fact. The surety’s obligation is to ensure that the arrested person attends court and that he loses his money or property(forgotten the term here) held or discharges his function if the person fails to attend court or flees lawful custody. Also if the surety does not inform the relevant authorities in a timely fashion. The court has bailed him. DSS are in contempt of court for failing to release him. The surety does not have to attend the DSS facilities to sign for his release because the court set bail conditions which were met. The courts say release forthswith and you are mentioning DSS policy to have someone sign him out? Is it a Eko hotel? Did they not receive and sign the court orders? And where in the court order does it mention he has to be signed over to someone personally? Sorry the law trumps policy here. Don’t call people idiots because they demand transparency and respect for the law from those in power.

The issue here is his release from lawful custody of the DSS as ordered by a court of the land. Two court orders for his ‘immediate’ release. His bail conditions were issued by a court and has been signed. It is not compelling reason to simply state that his detention was continued because there was no one to accept his release from their custody? His lawyers attended and so did the court bailiffs so why did the DSS not release him to his legal representatives? Or is it that the DSS are not subject to the laws of Nigeria or the courts? It is a dangerous precedent set here and it will be wise to disavow such flagrant abuse of people rights and unlawful acts.

So the option is for DSS to hold him indefinitely? The court order was for his immediate release from lawful custody. Keeping him for reasons you are manufacturing are irrelevant and unlawful. He is an adult with the necessary resources to get him home, if the DSS are so concerned for his welfare and safety they can convey him back to his home address? Abi is that another job that is in the too difficult category?
