Adoption is beautiful and should be encouraged. There are kids out there who deserve a loving family. Depends also on what country you plan to emigrate to because each country has different regulations and laws. Nigeria became non designated a few years ago and there are so many hurdles to jump but it is possible. Simply put you cannot just get a passport and visa and then leave with the child. The immigration process is another long and expensive process as well. Get a good lawyer because all the relevant documents and paperwork will be scrutinised by the relevant bodies with a fine tooth comb. Also do you own research and I do not think Nairaland is the best place at the moment due to the over popularity of insensitive idiots or trolls looking for cheap likes. There is something that I find a bit strange with this news. It’s the mentality of the people: those around the scene, the so called celebrities who reacted and majority of online comments.

In Nigeria we seem to normalise absurdity and praise stupidity or vice versa.

For a country that lack emergency services, where accident victims or very ill persons do not have access to decent ambulance services, where RTA victims would be packed in a hot open back pick up trucks, where no one cares less or doesn’t seem to mind the problems and potential dangers which that chopper posed to the vehicles and people around that scene....the noise, the dusts, the panic. I find it strange.

Did this ‘rescue’ unplugged and airlifted his vehicle from that scene? If not, I pity the poor chauffeur driving this man to wherever.

The one thing I saw or learnt from this experience is the reinforcement of the belief that in a difficult situation, those with means and resources will find ways of escaping the horrors, damn the people around and find their way to safety and comfort while the awkward and bad scenario persists.

Focus should be on finding a way to end the perennial inconveniences which travellers go through in Nigeria.

Don't mind them people who only think about Toyota, honda, nissan e.t.c in Naija. They are not aware that even expensive fast cars like Ferrari, Buggati, aston martin comes with mostly manual transmission. Imagine leaving your foot on the accelerator pedal of an automatic Lamborghini for just 7 seconds, it just has to be manual as some of those cars can go 0-100 in less than 5 seconds.
