Politics › Re: Bandits Asking For Motorcycles As Part Of Ransom. Something Is Not Right With Se by Valkrie: 9:20am On May 05, 2021 |
Rich4god: Some months back, I was at Zamfara. I heard the stories of how some village people paid ransom with motorcycle. I thought it was just hear say.
In Niger state, I have read it in news of how bandits are demanding for motorcycle as part of ransom.
Now, there is a thread at the front page about the kidnap of green field students, bandits are asking for Moto as part of ransom.
Its now obvious to me that in one way or the other, motorcycles have been used to pay ransom to bandits as requested, and the bandits have succeeded in collecting the Motorcycles.
The question is how come our security agents can't leverage on the fact that something as tangible and "material" as motorcycle is giving to bandits during negotiate and our security can't catch them.
It doesn't take common sense to conclude that if not all, but at least one of the state government of either Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Niger state and also the senior security architect of the NA and police forces and also some people in the presidency knows more about this bandits than what they portray.
Cos I can't understand how these guys can't be caught even with all the resources at our disposal.
The question still remain, how come down south issues are tackled with clinical decision, bit in the north our security becomes an earthworm in the mouth of a bird.
How is it that Obadiah was hastily invited by DSS for questioning, but Gumi, Miyetti leadership and even Muric have not been invited for once.
Let the presidency continue to play Nigerians, those of us with brains know what the are up to. Fact remain that most of our security personnels are very dull people with very low IQ, imagine school cut off mark for state like Anambra and other southern states is above 100 mark while state like Katsina is low as 10 marks and when it come to recruitment into dss, Katsna take the chunk of more than 80%, tell me how would that organisation ever function? |

Whyem15: The governor of the state should organize vigilantes and other volunteers, get the support of FG to deploy some troops and swing into action before terrorists come back. I believe it is a raid for resources but the terrorists will come back for more and when they realize that it is relatively safer for them, they will start settling down there. He doesn't have any excuse, Kwara state governor is currently doing that to fight kidnappers and bandits in his state and it is so far achieving results.
But then, what sorts of equipments are the terrorists looting from telecommunications mast? Communication equipment or power generating equipment? Vigilante and volunteers good but leave troops out....once troops set feet in that place it would turn to an endless war...The civilian militia would do a perfect job and drive the idiots out of their town...Atiku did it with hunters and civilian militia with no single troop in his home town and today its history...!! Omooba77: The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a warning to “elements” threatening Nigeria’s unity and peaceful co-existence.
Peter Afunanya, DSS spokesman, in a statement on Sunday, said the those trying to throw the country into anarchy will no longer be tolerated.
The secret service condemned the deliberate machinations by subversive and hostile groups “serving the interests of their sponsors”.
DSS said it was working with other security and law enforcement agencies to ensure the maintenance of peace and internal security of the nation.
Afunanya reaffirmed the service’s unambiguous support to an indivisible, indissoluble and united Nigerian State in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.
Some Nigerians and groups have been calling for the country’s break up. The agitation is growing.
The proponents are angry about marginalization, insecurity, nepotism, unemployment, resource control by the federal government, among others.
https://dailypost.ng/2021/05/02/breaking-dss-targets-elements-threatening-nigerias-peace/ They should start with boko people and fulani marauders..those are the only elements threatening the country...take them out and we have peace..but then again the dss is another arm of the fulani group...what am I saying sef...? Family › Re: Help! I Want To Leave My Wife by Valkrie: 7:58am On May 02, 2021 |
OfeAchi: BACKGROUND:
I had a decent job before I met her and I was responsible for all the decisions I took, which mostly led to favourable outcomes. However when I met her and began a relationship, I wasn't having the freedom I needed. Any decision I wanted to take without her authorization always ended badly. For example there was a period I wanted to jointly rent an apartment with a male friend of mine. She strongly opposed this but I still went ahead to pay rent. Unfortunately for me, within four months my friend had some issues with landlord and we were both evicted from the apartment. (although I got compensated)
Another instance was when I got paid some bonuses from company and decided to invest in some crypto projects during their ICOs (in 2017). I did some market analysis of these crypto projects before my decision to invest, only for her to advice me against it. She said we should instead, use the money to start farming. I didn't listen to her and went ahead to invest. THE RESULT: the investment that was supposed to take me to the moon now became more worthless than tissue paper! I shed tears because of this.
I now decided to get rid of her, but all plans of mine proved abortive. The more I tried to get her out of my life, the more we were brought together. Can you believe that the day I finally proposed to her was the very same day I tried to make out with an old girlfriend?
A friend of mine went to consult an ifa priest, who told him that my fiance has a cloud of good fortunes around her. But I don't believe in those spiritual mumbo-jumbos! I was determined to leave her. This made me begin applying for jobs in other states and towns, but nothing came forth. I even went for interview/test but didn't scale through. Some weeks later, she told me that she wasn't in support of me getting job in another town (she says she was scared of losing me).
Did you know? the time I decided to remove the thoughts of leaving her from mind and fully accept her into my life, was the time that I finally got a better job in another city!
MARRIAGE We got married in 2019 and I was of the mindset that since she may be an ogbanje, therefore things would work in my favour and I would become a millionaire very quickly, but that's not the case.
Since marriage, any decision I take without her approval always leads to disaster! I wanted to invest in a partnership deal and told her about it but she disapproved and said I should save the money instead. I went ahead to invest and I lost 400k! Same for other decisions in the house, the outcome was always negative whenever I don't heed her advice.
I hate all this! I'm a full grown man. Why should my life be based on the decisions of a woman? I feel like I'm no longer in control of my life. I'm about to take a car loan from my company in order to escape this constant public commute and trekking but she has vehemently disapproved, that I should instead save for another year or two before buying car. But I still won't listen to her! If the loan ends in a disaster, I have decided that I would abandon this marriage and relocate to another country. A country where voodoo and religious mumbo-jumbo do not exist, so that I can be in full control of my life!
.......PS: we have a year old baby girl. Maybe I could be sending monthly upkeep from this new country I intend to relocate to.
Able readers, is my final decision a good one? You have a gem and don't know how to use it...many looking for such opportunity but never got and here you are wanting to run away from your gold...I pity for you..!! |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Valkrie: 7:12am On Apr 26, 2021 |
Whyem15: The error isn't from NAF, it's from the army. Years ago I watched a video of troops preparing to storm a terrorist hideout and they were attaching large yellow fabrics to the top and sides of their vehicles because they were expecting air support and would want to be differentiated from the terrorists. Before leaving air base, pilots have briefings and are told the situation of things where they will be going. Even if the pilots hadn't attacked them, there is a very high probability that the troops on ground in the location they were reinforcing will attack them as they were just attacked by a convoy of similar appearance. The reinforcing troops should have radioed in. Maybe they did and it is the team being reinforced that was negligent. Maybe due to the death of their commanding officer they lost coordination anyway it is, it an accident and a defeat in a war of many battles, make your peace with that and accept the loss, these things happen in wars. What is excruciating is the fact that this isn't the first time the terrorists will be disguising as troops to attack garrisons. I think the first time was in 2017. Even after more than 4 times it has been used against the army, they may still not change anything. Another thing is that NA and NAF are too predictable NA holds a line till NAF comes in, fire a few rockets and cannons, maybe drops a bomb and then returns to base and the attack is repelled. They are only setting themselves up for more disasters. Whoever thinks the terrorists will keep attacking the same way must be very foolish. They have been harassed by NAF for far too long for them to have started using MANPADS, thankfully they haven't gotten their hands on those. The recent attack on Geidam showed them mixing up with the local population, assuring them of safety while using them as humanshields. The attack on Damasak featured the terrorists laying low immediately they gained access into the town to prevent NAF from striking them only for them to strike very early in the morning. The video NAF released of the attack on marte showed the terrorists lying in trenches to hide from the aircrafts till it returns back to base, thankfully their heat signatures were picked up. The terrorists have been observed several times attempting to reduce the heat signature of their guntrucks, thankfully they've been largely unsuccessful with that. Prior to NAF getting night attack capability, they were attacking at nights. The terrorists keep learning and adapting, changing strategies every time while NA last chafed it's strategy in 2018. While most brigadier generals and Lt. Col are in charge of defending garrisoned towns, is there anyone in charge of attacking the terrorists?
The good side to this war is that the Nigerian military is learning albeit slowly. Unless they are totally crazy, another insurgency/war won't be as successful as this. If not for this insurgency, the military will still be as it was in 2008. Between the beginning of the insurgency and now, there's been huge changes. That has largely been the difference between the boko civilain militia and our almighty army...while boko adapt, change tactics, improvise and innovate on how to best kill the nigerian army, our own army keep doing same thing over and over again like zombie...Me think they should begin to learn from the boko people to make headway..What nonsense..!! |

Why does this repeatedly happen? Why aren’t Nigeria military in all outpost, great and small, adopting the policy of mandating that all returning or approaching military parties must stop 50 mitres – more or less – from base and await permission to proceed? Usually permission to proceed is given after a single personnel from the approaching patrol, convoy, etc walks up to the soldiers at the base for id verification. I wrote her before that all these military boys are the ones carrying last in class when in school and many came for my head...is it not obvious...!!?
