You own yourself the truth and connect your stories especially your work with your career outlook after graduation and then the sponsorship because you should provide his statement of account abroad when asked. Lastly they're humans, be courageous and friendly plus passionate. Make sure everything is filled in the DS160 is true. So help you God Joeshuwa: I'm yet to go for my Visa interview... i also have similarsituation... it gets me worried alot. My brother graduated from the school i got admission to and he is now a permanent resident there.. he's also the one sponsoring me. I dont really know how to go about it... ... mind sharing your transcript? Any advice or tip?? |

Thanks man, i appreciate the response, i am reworking my story on a new DS160 since the status of my dad has changed. The ties is my bordering issue i just have a sibling (sis) she's the only one i have left as home ties, Again the question about have i been filled for migration comes up too. Though i have not been filled for yet. Since my dad is waiting for his paperwork to officially settle to look for work. So i am hoping to be all honest and connect my story sincerely, honestly i can face the V.O cus no new thing but i need a compelling story to wrap it up. I still need more advice and honestly i think i can do it. I need more information. I will appreciate any reasonable input as regards. Thanks once again NigPatriot: Your story is rather unique, but not impossible. As I always advise, try to be sincere in your application and sell your story in the most convincing way possible you can. Your interview is already close by, you have to attend it - as someone who hasn't been denied before. I don't know what you filled on your DS160, so I can only advise based on the information you've put forward. you clearly have more ties to the US than Nigeria. Focus on three things now - your funding, your work, and your ambition (your post-study plans). This will determine the outcome of your visa. |

Sorry to ask, so i have admission to north American university Texas to study Masters in computer science, I'm a political science graduate but i have worked as a tech engr for computer networking, and CCTV/ inverter installation. I have been attending visa interview and this is my 3rd attempt, my dad left for US last month through k-3 visa (spousal). My question is my stepmother and dad is living in the same city with the school and my funding is through 3rd party sponsorship. What can be done to salvage my situation because am really feeling down already. My interview is on the 18th this month and this is the 3rd attempt. Always on home ties issues. What to do to connect myself with a convincing response to the V.O. I think i need help. @NigPatriot @moshkom @chibertha Easydgre8: Even if siblings are citizens, there's a chance of getting your visa. Three of my brothers are in the US, two graduated from the school I applied for, two of them are citizens one a PR. I still got my visa anyway mentioning everything in my ds160 and explaining to the VO. It's grace, that's all I can say |

Please visit NIMC center and they will make the corrections for you with 5k and you can back it up with going to court to get a affidavit with list of necessary documentation to back your claims listed in the affidavit obtained from the court. Mablove: Good evening everyone, please my son's NIN has a spelling error. something like(Beauty-Best) the hyphen in the middle was omitted. How do I get it corrected and is it possible to get another copy immediately after the correction? His birthday certificate and other documents has the correct spelling. We need it for his passport renewal but immigration is asking for a correction before they can process his application. Pls anyone with similar experience |

Please when one is denied like in Abuja consulate and wants to switch to lagos consulate, how soon can one apply? Was delayed on monday by the Korean guy in Abuja.... my program starts in January. Kaygirl33: Well, that will be a bit of a hassle but not impossible. It would have been to his favor if he was self employed. Let her try still. Well that's my own opinion, but whatever makes her comfortable. |

Sorry to intrude; but does he need to pick a date first and check during odd times select another closer date if it somehow pops up ? ²if you choose a date let's say today today what's the estimate of the 60 day's emergency will the interview fall btw Dec/Jan ³ How does this emergency date thing work ✌️ Beautyagu1: Just hold on to the date and apply for emergency date 60 days to your resumption date. Also you can still be checking the portal for a closer date. |

Please people of God i still enough advice on this. Any input is highly welcomed in good faith. Thanks Valolisa147: Please i need help on this.... someone should please proofread and correct me. Thank you all
I was previously found ineligible for a Non-immigrant Visa because, i failed to establish ties that will compel me to return to my home country Nigeria. I would like to state that I am blessed with the smallest family unit that consists of just my Dad, I and my only beloved sister. I love them both so much to abandon them here in Nigeria even after my studies in the United States. Moreover, my studies was inspired by the desire to broaden my knowledge in IT and take my budding company to the next level and in turn take care of my only family. In the same vein, I also do not intend to leave behind, my guardian/sponsor; Mrs ……... who happens to be my late mother’s brother’s wife (Uncle’s wife). I have been under her tutelage since the death of my mother since 2006. In continuation of that care and guardianship, she is willing and has shown her financial ability to cater for all expenses relating to my travel to the United States from flight expenses to tuition and living expenses. She is one family I am not willing to abandon in Nigeria and so would definitely come back home.
Emphatically, I wish to state again that I have been running a start-up Tech company (OYO) with a friend for three years now after I grew a passion for the Tech world. We plan to diversify and broaden the scope of our company with the knowledge I will gain from my intended study program. This would also compel me to come back to my country, Nigeria and through our company I would be contributing towards community development by harnessing talents to bridge the technological gaps in developing communities.
In conclusion, Nigeria is my home. I am the only son of my father as well as his only heir. This comes with a lot of responsibilities that can not be abandoned. Also, I have a purpose for my study in the United States which is to gain expert knowledge and experience in Computer Science and give back to my Nigerian community, especially the Igbo community. I would have to come back in order to actualise that purpose and goal. |

Thank you, i need more contributions anybody please, any advice is welcome in good faith vizin: Wait a sec, is this your supposed answer to the question "reason for previous denial?" which in a nutshell was your inability to prove strong home ties during your previous interview?. Respectfully, this is unnecessarily long, tacky and screams I'm desperate. Keep it short, precise and straight to the point; sometimes less is more. |

The important thing to know is that you must complete the form, submit it and put the form number on your cgi appointment page and you should do these before 72 hours to your interview |
