omodapson: The spokesman for Islamist militant group Boko Haram has been killed by Nigeria's military, reliable sources have told the BBC.

However, Boko Haram has not confirmed that Abu Qaqa has been killed.

A military spokesman told the BBC that two militant suspects had been arrested, one of whom later died but his identity remains unknown.

Analysts note that Abu Qaqa is an alias, so establishing his identity will not be easy.

The military has previously claimed to have arrested Abu Qaqa but this was denied by Boko Haram, who said the wrong man had been detained.

Popular Nollywood twins, the Anekes, made it clear in their interview with Entertainment Express that although they are single, they are by no means desperate for husbands.



And although they both prefer to get married to male twins, they also wouldn’t be fazed, if possibly they are approached by P-Square. The Anekes said they will get down on their knees, as marriage is a lifetime decision.

EE Question: Now that you are praying to have twin brothers as husbands, what about successful twin brothers like P-Square? Would you give them a chance if they come seeking your hands in marriage?

Aneke Twins: If they come, we would have to pray over it. We can’t just say yes to them, except if it’s the will of God. With the level we’ve attained in Christianity, we can’t just say yes to anybody that comes seeking our hands in marriage.

EE Question: Does that mean that P-Square don’t epitomize your ideal men?

Aneke Twins: They are good on their side but we can’t just say yes like that. This is because once we are married, we are married. We would not on any grounds go out of our marriages. So that is why we are being with who we say ‘yes I do’ to

But yorubas don't hate igbos. Igbo hate ijaw, benins, yorubas, hausas, fulanis. Wonder who they like? They are not different from boko-haram/arabs. The only difference is, "they don't have balls to fight like hausas"
Yorubas are accomodatin to all tribes, fulanis are many in the south west, igbo are also many..can't count other tribes.

Solemn tee: Former President, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo has averred that Nigeria would definitely win the ‘war’ currently going on between the country and the Jama’atu Ahlus Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram.

The retired military general affirmed that the demise of the late Libyan dictator, Colonel Muammar Ghaddafi  made  the trained militants relocate into the country.

Obasanjo told British Broadcasting Corporation radio and television yesterday that the incessant bombing by the Islamist sect is unconnected with bad and failed leadership.

He said: “Now, talking to people who know the history of Nigeria, you will know that you cannot impose any particular religion on Nigeria as a whole. These people cannot impose Shari’a in the North where most of our people are Muslims let alone in Nigeria,” he said.

“Now, they should know that, and someone should make them know that. So I see a bit of naivety in that objective that they have given to themselves and it is an unattainable objective.”

Obasanjo added that: “If you are prepared to kill more people, if like somebody says “we will fight to the last drop of our blood”, now, one does not know whose blood would be the last to drop. How many would they kill, how many of them will survive at the end of the day?

“I believe you should go with…you should carry carrot and stick, at the end of the day there would be area where carrot would work and there would be area where stick would work. And I believed the authorities are now adopting that.



“Those who are on the other side, Boko Haram, and those who believe in their cause or waiting for their cause, know that it is not the war that they can win.”

“There is an internal element, which you have mentioned—inadequate education in the North, or in fact inadequate education generally in the country, inadequate employment opportunities in the country, all that are part of what, if you like, is remote cause of Boko Haram as far as I am concerned.

“But then there are also external elements. Now, the fallout from Libya, which of course as a result what happened in Libya, those that have been trained in Libya in the time of Gaddafi from other countries who are neighbors of Libya, when Gaddafi fell they moved out. They moved out with their training, their weapons and they started to wreak havoc on the communities in which they have moved out to. And that is the situation in northern Mali,” he added.

He disclosed that those who planned the fall of the Libyan leader, as well as the whole of Africa are already paying a price for that.

The farmer cum politician said. “We know that there will be a price to pay in the way that it all went in Libya. At the end of the day all of us in Africa, and all those who masterminded the way it happened will have to pay a price, and we are now paying the price “Now it was too early to shout ‘uhuru’ with the Arab Spring, and some of us said that. That look, what will be the final outcome of this? Let us wait and see. When you have violence and violent overthrow of regimes you do not know exactly what the final outcome will be.”

Any small thing people dun burn am! See bunch above happily burning the flag like it has anything to do with the movie. Obviously a symbolic gesture to express disapproval or anger why then kill someone else that has absolutely nothing to do with it.


95% of Muslims protesting haven't seen the movie. This goes to show the zombie nature of that 95%, they only do as they are told and never bother to investigate for themselves. When people stop to engage their brains for themselves they suffer in abject poverty. That same poverty makes them dependent to their imams or what have you and hence a poppet to the desires of others. what I like to call the circle of "intellectual neglect"

I just hope those trigger happy Nigerian soldiers did not kill anyone. People should be allowed to protest as long as they don't harm other innocent citizens who are just passing by or minding their own business.

Neversaydie: Minister of Water Resources, Mrs Sarah Och-ekpe had assured that the challenges facing the water sector in the country would be over by 2025.

The minister gave this assurance while speaking at a one-day workshop for stakeholders on the validation of Plateau State water supply, sanitation and hygiene policy.
Och-ekpe urged participants at the forum organized to study the document for water policy in the state and come up with a policy for better water services.
Plateau State governor, Mr Jonah Jang who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Shedrack Best, blamed the  cause of inadequate water supply on outdated equipment, shortage of manpower, among others.
According to him, his administration had awarded N8 billion contract to enhance  quality water supply within the state. He added  that the state was also in partnership with other foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to provide quality water to the people in order to eradicate water borne diseases in the State.
