Lot was a man in the Bible who always choose the rosy and better today but pays the price of having bitter tomorrows. Below, Abraham told Lot to make a choice of where to live. If Lot was not so self-centered, he would have consultated God first, or tell Abraham who is a friend of God to help him over that matter. Or at least, Lot would have told his senior(Abraham) to choose first. Rather, he went by sight and his end was fatal.

Genesis 13:8-12 NIV
8 So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” 10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The consequences of his choice started when he was kidnapped in chapter 14. Fortunately, Abraham rescued him and all his family from the kidnappers. However, Lot didn't learn any lesson ... He repeated his self-centeredness when Angels came to destroy the place(Sodom) he chose to live. God, through his Angels, told him to run to the mountain cause HE knows the end from the beginning, but Lot stubbornly refused and continued paying the price of bitter future.

Genesis 19:17-20 NKJV
17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” 18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! 19 Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die. 20 See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.”

If Lot had obeyed God. HE would have made a way where there seems to be none on that mountain. Verse 30 recorded that fear came upon Lot in the same city he chose to run to and he ran to another place, and at his old age, there was no man to marry his daughters, that the ladies made him drink and conceived through him.

CHAIII !! LOT PAID THE BITTER PRICE OF SELF CHOICES, FROM HIS YOUTH TO HIS OLD AGE.

Have u taken out some time to pay it forward(extend to others) a part of the blessing that God has showered upon u? Honestly, after going down on ur knees to thank God for the privilege of life and his grace upon us, it is by far the next best thing to do, and a great way to kick start yet another new year.
Pls take out some time to visit the nearest orphanage, care/disability center or hospital near u. …for it is gestures and acts like these that makes for a MEANINGFUL, PURPOSEFUL and WORTHY LIFE… and one that ultimately pleases God!!

The month of December 2020 saw me and a couple of friends tour 4 different states (including my home state) extending warm regards and contributing our widows myth to a few orphanage/less privileged homes, hospitals and care centers. No fewer than 3 members here were also involved in this noble course, and I humbly consider it a privilege to be a part of it. While what we gave out might not be so much, it is the intent that really matters.
Divine on my side, I also personally ended the year carrying out the same act in my state of resident and have since started out the new year doing same in my home state. (will visit my last target place this Sunday)
Pls I encourage u to do the same. Extend a helping hand to someone near u today. …nothing can be considered too small. Ur act of kindness might just help turnaround a dare situation or even be the support tool to save a soul.

Jesus Christ was not born for you to waste all the money you've being saving since this year, in the name of celebrating christmas. The true and wise believers use this period as a period of Christians' retreat gatherings, in order to be separated from the pollutions and distractions that's characterized with this idolatrous season.

Those who chose this season as the season of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, should know why He was born, ... one of the many reasons He was born into this world was to introduce the strangest teachings below.
