Detectives interrogating a suspect on gun and drugs charges were forced to stop – because the suspect wouldn’t stop farting.

Sean Sykes, 24, was arrested for possession of cocaine, marijuana and two handguns — one stolen Magnum discovered in his car.

Local newspaper the Kansas City Star reported that Sykes ‘leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart’ when asked his address.

A cultist has been arrested for stabbing his 35-year-old aunt to death after she refused to give him N30,000 for his house rent.

Sunday Peter, 22, who confessed to being a member of Young Vikings Confraternity, allegedly stabbed Salome Idoko, 35, to death with the help of an accomplice, Istafanus Yerima, 22, in her own house, just because she refused to give him money for his house rent.

The 22-year-old had earlier visited his aunt and her family and spent 3 days with them. Before he left Salome's home, her husband, James Idoko, gave him a ride to Maitama, dropped him off and gave him N1000 for his transport fare back to Maraba, Nasarawa state, where he lived.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abubakar Bello said the gruesome murder took place at about 1:35pm September 28.

According to Mr. Abubakar Bello, after his initial visit, Peter, a nephew of the deceased and his friend, Istafanus Yerima, 22, visited his aunt again at her home which is close to Berger Bridge Quarry Gate, Mpape, Abuja to allegedly demand for N30,000 from her to pay his rent.

Patrice Evra has been sacked by Marseille following the French defenders seven-month ban from UEFA competitions after kicking a fan in the head.

A gay porn star who moved from Iraq to U.S. to 'live his own way' has been arrested for murder after his boyfriend was found stabbed to death in his San Francisco apartment.

Alkoraishie Ali, 26, who advertised himself on a website for male escorts, was arrested on Tuesday for the murder of 48-year-old software architect Keith Harris.

Police are yet to report what injuries he suffered or whether they were self-inflicted.

Mr Harris’s body was discovered last Thursday when his building manager, Paul Novales, went to check on him following reports he hadn’t been seen for several days, cops told The Bay Area Reporter.

Paul Novales, said that he called on Harris on November 2 because he hadn't been heard from in a few days.

Novales let himself inside when no-one answered the door and he saw 'big drops' of blood on the floor and more blood smeared on walls leading to the bathroom.

Novales left the place and called 911; police then found Harris's body. The cause of death has not been confirmed, but police told the Reporter that he had been stabbed with a knife.

A neighbour described hearing shouting at around 2am the night before Harris's body was found but was unable to make out what it was about.

The whistle-blower policy states that any whistle-blower whose information leads to the recovery of over N5bn will attract a 2.5 per cent reward.

The acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, did not disclose how much would be given to the whistle-blower.

While speaking at the ongoing 7th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption holding in Vienna, Austria, Magu disclosed that the whistle-blower was a man who had “never seen N1m in his life.”

He, therefore, called on Nigerians who want a positive change in the country to take advantage of the whistle-blower policy.

The EFCC boss said aside from contributing to the eradication of corruption, potential whistle-blowers would also benefit from the illicit acquisition by the looters.

Magu said, “We are currently working on the young man because this is just a man who had not seen N1m of his own before. So, he is under counselling on how to make good use of the money and also the security implication.

"We don’t want anything bad to happen to him after taking delivery of his entitlement. He is a national pride.

“So we encourage more whistle-blowers to come forward with genuine information that will lead to recoveries from looters of public treasuries. That is part of the ways we can put an end to the looting madness in the public sector.

“When they know that they have no place to keep the loot, as all eyes are on them, they will find looting of public treasuries unattractive.”

The money, which belongs to the National Intelligence Agency, has since been deposited in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

An undermined number of notorious cultists and armed robbers have escaped from the custody of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The Nigerians are suspected to have been sexually abused and murdered at the sea.

The women's bodies are being kept in a refrigerated section of the warship. Most of them were aged 14-18.

According to La Repubblica, most of the 375 survivors brought to Salerno were sub-Saharan Africans, from Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, The Gambia and Sudan: 90 of them women, eight of them pregnant; and 54, children.

Italian prosecutors have begun an investigation into the deaths of the women, said to be mostly teenagers.

Kenyan rugby player Mike Okombe, 27, was stabbed to death by his girlfriend at his home in Nakuru County on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old Topfry Nakuru RFC player was killed by his 37-year-old girlfriend, Ms MaryAnne Mumbi, at Olive while attending a friend’s birthday party on Saturday night.



“Mr Okombe and his lover, Ms MaryAnne Mumbi, were attending a birthday party of their friend, a Mr Okoth. The two had an argument before Ms Mumbi went for a knife, which she used to stab Mr Okombe to death,” Rongai OCPD Japhet Kioko said while confirming the incident.

He added that the woman fled after the incident and is being pursued by police.

A paedophile butcher who raped a toddler after forcing her to watch child abuse videos has been jailed for eight years after a young woman was finally able to tell her mother what had happened to her as a toddler.

Mark Rawlinson, 44, was found guilty of a catalogue of sexual offences after his brave victim went to police in her teens.

Her mother revealed that he sat her on his knee as he made her watch the videos before he went on to attack her.

Her mother said: "It made me feel so angry and sick. It was beyond me how anyone could do that to a child, let alone my own. He never showed an ounce of remorse in court which is just a whole different level.

"He just sat there and never made a squeak. He just kept shaking his head throughout the whole thing. Luckily the jury listened to everything that was said and found him guilty of what he did."

The 44-year-old who worked for butchers in the North East, was found guilty of more than 20 sexual offences at Leicester Crown Court.

The victim's mother said: "My daughter won't get into taxis with men and she is very wary around them.

"Even when she goes to the doctors she cannot see a male doctor. It's caused her great anxiety, stress, shame and embarrassment.

"She is so frightened that people will find out it is her but at the same time she knows that people need to know who this monster is and what he has done. He absolutely destroyed her as a young child."

Despite what happened to her the victim went on to complete her A levels and is now at university.

‘I made this item you are going to buy, but I didn’t get paid for it,’ the tags would read.

The tag calls on the shoppers to pressure Zara into paying them and support their campaign.

The tags say the workers were employed by Bravo, which closed down overnight.

The unpaid workers say the manufacturer owes them three months of pay as well as severance allowance.

A change.org petition claiming to be from the Turkish textile workers has received more than 18,000 signatures as they try to highlight their plight.

The petition reads: "We are textile workers in Turkey who have been working for years to make profits for brands such as Inditex (Zara), Next, and Mango.
