^^^ If this were a scathing attack and wake up call for Nollywood, I'm sure Nollywood would not understand even if you water it down with 10 parts dumbness. They'd give you an award instead. I am also inclined to give you and Vieira awards too for watching. I am yet to see Jenifa, Ije and one other good naija flick. My canker worm has reached my cerebellum.

The coolest thing about Sin City was that I knew nothing about it before I saw it (with Bourne Identity). I was in a media black out and one day I went to buy movies and I saw all these glorious people on the cover. I bought it and took it home and the thing and I made love. My favourite story was The Hard Goodbye and then That Yellow Basterd. The Big Fat Kill was the most gruesome but Clive Owen just doesn't seem right. Benicio and Devon Aoki (who I later learned was supposed to be a super model) made up for his miscast. I don't know if I've ever seen so many hot shot actors in one film. The B rate ones were acting as extras. It was a stroke of genius to let Frank Miller direct his creation. Many times, and strangely too, directors bring out the best of other people's ideas more than even they can but Miller just nailed this thing. About the dialogue being a bit clunky, which Vieira mentioned, I noticed that in only Clive Owen's lines. I love Bruce Willis. Best action hero ever in my opinion. Rourke managed to look uglier but handsomer at the same time. Elijah Wood, damn! Oh, I hated that black girl that was the leader of the prostitute army. She's even more outta place than Clive. But Devon and Benicio. . . . .

This is the best comic adaptation ever. Spiderman, TDK, Watchmen really make it a hard choice though. I kinda pray the Sin City 2 rumour I hear isn't true. It'll be impossible to top this one.

I would call Identity an awesome movie. . . . . . if I'd seen it. I love John and adore his sister, Joan. But they are not terribly good actors. I just love their feel in movies. And Joan is just plain adorable. I could look at her go about awkwardly (and do that scrunchy thing with her nose) all day.

I've not heard anything like that but I suppose the outcome of those deliberations will draw largely on the reception of the films already in the works. Ask iice. She's got the low down on anything Batmanish for a decade to come.
