Hello nairalanders,call me rizzla for privacy's sake. I am a Nigerian male,20 years of age, intelligent, beautifu-minded and I'm dying! I've always been the weird kid,the black sheep,the different one,I've always not know how to talk to people,how to socialize,how to make friends ever since I was younger I have always unconsciously isolated myself I don't know why but I always did.

When I got quite older I started cutting people of my life, people I love, people that loved me... everyone,with every passing day I was more alone than the last day. The final straw that broke the camel's back was the time I was given admission to study Mechanical engineering in a Nigerian University. I finished my clearance and school resumed,only that I didn't resume with it,I had no friends,and no way to make one,I always felt awkward...weird!

One my first day attending lectures,I got to the hall and the number of people who I saw left me stunned,it was as if every single person in the hall was connected to my energy and kept sapping it away,with every passing moment I felt weak. WEAK!!! I convinced myself it was atress and all that stuffs but with every visit to the halls,every visit to my course advisers office,every visit outside of my lodge I felt my energy level drop,I felt weak,useless,worse than dead! Sometimes I wouldn't step outside my lodge for weeks upon weeks because I was afraid,ashamed, humiliated, embarrassed by what I don't know!!! It was so bad that even merely thinking of "people" would trigger my panic attacks.

This kept happening until after the first semester exams which I did very very badly! Second semester came and I couldn't even register a single course,every single day,I would curl up in my bed and feel the life force get drawn out of me,every single day I would curl up in pains wondering why God that so much loves the world would see it befitting to create on of his precious humans like this...to be so afraid of commitment,so afraid of other humans! And the funny part was that nobody knows what I really felt,I always plastered a smile across my face every single time I was around someone (mostly because I hate sharing my problems and because I really value company)
Without necessarily saying, y'all should know second semester bleeped me up!!
I started this year with a resolution,that I would put an end to the Bleep ups of last year. But the moment I got back to school,the depression resumed!! Pains,anger, sadness,more pains, anxiety,more anxiety,pains,more sadness... Yesterday,I tried going to a class,I got outside the class and the bare noise I observed from where I was stunned me,I couldn't go on,so I sat under a tree and blasted some music,I just couldn't literally move!!!!
My family put a lot of hope and trust in me,but then they do not see their son for the broken young man that he is,they do not see the tears behind the smile,they do not see the pains in every word... I'm dying!! I need help!! This is a distress call!!!!!!!!!!

I read everything by Robert Greene. Popular ones include "Mastery," "48 Laws of Power," & "Art of Seduction." These books will wake you up from being an emotional junk to a more objective and logical animal.

One of my favourite book is the "Power of your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy. It debunked popular myth and places the power back in your hands.

I'd also recommend "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. Contains short nuggets on various philosophical truths. Could call it a life advice manual. Definitely gonna change your perspective on life.

Then I read a bunch of history too, with a blend of social politics. Mostly about the life of dictators such as Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin. etc. "The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich" by William L. Shirer is a good place to start.

These aren't motivational books to make you feel mushy or fuzzy. They'll wake you up to life. To real fuxxxing life!

Yeah, these contents might pose as weird books by societal norms. But they've helped me develop a thick skin.

The world out there isn't fair. As an introvert like me, if you fail to shield yourself mentally, you'd be an emotional mop tossed to and fro by folks who'd wanna take you for a ride by capitalising on your calm and peaceful disposition.

These stuff have taught me to be calm but not to be foolish; to be calculative and astute. It has made me discover that my personality isn't a disadvantage but rather a blessing.

I've learnt to wear my insecurities comfortably with my middle finger to the world.

The Bible is my all time favourite.
Words by the author of Ecclesiastics still leaves me struck as to how a human being could possess that reservoir of practical wisdom. His generation didn't deserve him.

I prefer buying my books from a book store. I love the feel of flipping the pages and marking sentences. Lol.

However, you can get practically any book in pdf from b-ok.org or pdfdrive.com.

People playing fifa and dls on mobile only do it because either their phone can't run pes or they find it unplayable

There are core FIFA fans just as there are Pes fanatics.

From someone who's neither a fan of any, I'd say FIFA provides a better medium of entertainment and overall relaxation (which is suppose to be the primary objective of a game).

Trust me it's the same story every year, until people get used to the gameplay they'll keep giving low ratings. By the turn of the year, they'll get used to it and ratings will go up. Don't use the ratings or reviews as a measuring tool

Tested FIFA. Though the graphics isn't as solid as compared to PES, the overall game play is way much better.

Control isn't difficult. Long passes are more accurate. Dribbling is seamless and smooth. Consume less battery and doesn't overheat your device.

If Konami designed Pes to be less player friendly and make people opt for an alternative, they've met that objective.

Lol. The game is not hard, you just don't know how to play yet. Try the easier difficulty levels and you'll gradually develop your skills. It's only a matter of time.

Their current update is a complete flop. Console is complicated and the overall game play is nothing spectacular.

You can look up their reviews online. Even on playstore they've got 3.9 compared to DLS with a 4.5 rating. Even ordinary FIFA has a higher approval rating.

Konami got this one wrong.

While some of her mates are busy fixing eye lashes and practicing how to slay, she's bagging awards; making her parents proud.

Finally installed the infamous PES 2020 after the so much hype and noise.

Been playing it since yesterday and I'm gonna delete it this very instant. I've had enough. The graphics is nice but the game is just too hard. Direction control get as e be.

I used to be a very strong introvert. I still am Sha but e don reduce small. I don't start conversations unless the other person starts first. But it was different when I dated my wife. Although my pick up line was sincere. I told her I have seen her face before not sure where and she simply responded that it was in secondary school and from there we started dating.

Toasting a girl for me was one thing that got my heart beating faster than a drum set in church.

Now I look back at my life I regret all the girls I could have dated and all the ones that were giving me signs to come and knack. I was just there dulling.

One time I liked a girl and my only way of toasting her was to form secret admirer and send her small small presents and even stalked her telling her what she was doing at a certain time.

This created a kind of value about me and she was dying to know who I was. When she finally did. We started getting close but my olodo self told a young girl in University that I would like us to start courting for marriage in the nearest future and at this time I no get shishi. The girl blatantly refused saying she had plans for her life and we stopped seeing each other.

Sometimes I feel I probably got married because I can't kill myself over toasting woman who might reject me over and over.
My wife is not an extrovert but she is a very social person as a matter of fact I learn how to talk to strangers from her. She can become friends with u in a few hours and u guys will discuss your whole life.

Being an introvert really keeps u from living your dream and hides you from opportunities. Its really a negative trait. I work full time and run a media business that provides media content in general but it is suffering because I don't know how to talk to potential clients.

That is why next year I have decided to come out of my shell on full throttle. For instance since I am into filmmaking I always love staying behind the scene but next year I am starting a YouTube channel and will appear more next year in front of the screen and I will talk to people just to kill my introvert personality and shyness.

I've been reading a bunch of stuff here by people complaining that being an "introvert" has hampered their success in various instances.

Well, sorry about your negative experience and I do hope it gets better for y'all.

However, you should probably look inwardly to really determine the root cause of these setbacks. Cause I'm almost certain that it didn't occur because you're an introvert.

I'm a core introvert but I've got no issues with communicating or articulating my thoughts. When it comes to presentations or interviews, I've never fumbled. My audience tends to be very well impressed. Probably because of my diction and accent. Which comes from daily reading and consuming a lot of literary content. From hip-hop to American horror series. Include the News too.

In my former organisation (an international political entity), most of my colleagues were first grade extroverts and older than I am.

But when it came to representing the org in the international scale, I was the one being called. From giving a talk at a World Bank symposium with people from various countries in attendance, to being called to deliver lectures at conferences.

This also came with fast promotions as the management deemed me smart. (I turned them down cause I hated leadership and the stress it incurs). I like being in the background; pulling the stings. Plus I wasn't in for the long haul. All I needed was the experience. After getting it, I moved on.

Being an introvert never interfered. Though I resent public gatherings and small talks, but if there's something at stake and it's time to deliver, I do the work and get the job done.

It has nothing to do with your temperament but more about your internal image– how you see yourself.

Though my imaginations run wild and I'm a psychological wreck sometimes, I do not consider myself less than anyone. Cause I know everyone's messed up too but their fake asses are good at hiding it.

I keep a small cycle just to stay on the loop. I've got no cliques but a lot of acquaintances. I roll on my own. But when opportunities come, I'm the first to know.

So much so that I've attended closed gatherings that wasn't opened to the public which have had in attendance the governor of my state, top political guns, and leaders of industry. I've met with the Vice President, he's human and he's not really that tall. Plus he's humble too.

I hope you not getting the wrong message here. I ain't trying to paint a self-inflated picture of myself. I'm just trying to point out that being an introvert doesn't hinder you from excelling at your career or doing great things.

First, embrace who you are. But don't stop there. Develop yourself.

Read stuff that challenges how you think. Take online courses.

Personally, I consume a lot of stuff on Psychology and stocism. It's funny what you discover. For parts, that the entire human race is motivated by vanity. And we're not creatures of logic but emotions.

Understanding this will make conversations a lot easier. You'd know what make people tick; what get them excited and aroused.

You'd discover that listening is more effective than talking when conversing with someone; showing you're interested in what they're saying is more effective than trying to prove a point or thinking of a response.

For those scared of approaching women or settling for less beautiful bitches, that's on you and has nothing to do with being an introvert.

For crying out loud, these folks are not gods.

Behind the smooth skin, lovely breasts, and gorgeous clothes are humans who are grossly insecure.

Alright. It's over 2 days since I got myself immersed in Miui 11, and like I promised, I'm gonna do a review. That way, fam members who are still on Miui 10 or lower versions will get to know what they're missing or not missing.

For a start, Miui 11 is packed with some fresh and eye-catching features. Honestly it still beats me why some persons here opined that Miui 10 and Miui 11 are more or less same. I don't get it. Pls allow me to guide you through the new additions on Miui 11:

UI Design
Perhaps, the most noticeable change on Miui 11 is the new material UI design. Although icons/UI look minimalistic, it's very bold, colorful, crisp and stylish. That of Miui 10 ain't bad to be fair, but it lacks the crispness of Miui 11. Miui 11 made major changes in the general looks of Rom's UI starting from the boot logo.

Effects.
Another new stuff is the transitions effects - to be fair, it's quite pleasing to the eye and makes the whole Miui experience elegant and enjoyable. You notice these effects while opening/closing apps, navigating through settings and toggling the drop-down menu switches. Very sweet.

Screen time.
Miui 11 is equipped with a very special feature called "screen time". Now, if you're on android 10, then there's a big chance you already know about this. "Screen time" is very similar to Google's "Digital Wellbeing" feature (I personally think Xiaomi copied this from Google). This new feature basically tracks your activities, giving you an alarmingly detailed info on how much time you spend on your phone (daily, weekly, monthly), the time is further narrowed to apps, giving you precisely how much time you spend on each app. It even lets you set daily screen time limits for apps, individually. That way, you can control your addiction to certain apps and focus on more relevant things. I think this's a fantastic feature. It's one of my favorites.

Font.
Miui 11 also has a new font feature called "font weighting". It essentially helps you to adjust the boldness of your font without changing the individual font. Also, a new font (MilanPro) was introduced, and it's actually a nice font. Although it has a striking resemblance with Google's font, "Google Product Sans". Makes me wonder if Xiaomi got their inspiration from there..

Game Turbo. Quick Replies.
Good news for gamers. With new major improvements, the Game Turbo feature is also available on Miui 11 under Settings - > special features. It optimizes the phone's ram & GPU and readies it for any game, ensuring optimal game performance. There is also a new feature called "quick replies" which helps you to conveniently send instant replies on supported apps.

Status Bar.
Status bar icons such as network bars appears to have been reduced in size on Miui 11. Network Type symbols such as H+ or 4g now sits on top of the the network bars rather than the sides as the case was on Miui 10. Also, the 4g symbol disappears when you turn off the data (creating space for more icons) and reappears when data is turned on. This wasn't the case with Miui 10.

Battery.
The battery performance on Miui 11, in my opinion, is better than that of Miui 10. No lies - I was able to squeeze out a couple more minutes (somewhat 40 - 55 mins). I use RN5 pro - so it's very possible that the performance may vary a cross other models. Thus, this is not definite.

To spare you some time reading this annoyingly long post, there're some other noteworthy additions to Miui 11 which I'm not gonna explain further. They include:

* Improved Calculator (calculator now supports picture-in-picture feature)
* Drop-down menu toggle button for Dark mode.
* New dynamic sound effects.
* Blur app preview (let's you blur apps on the "recent" menu)
* MiShare (Similar to Apple's Airdrop. For sharing apps/files seamlessly)
* Improved file manager (I still prefer the file manager in Miui 10 tho)
* Ambient Display (Doesn't work as I use RN5 pro)

Not sure if I'm missing anything, but this's all I noticed. The display colour I complained about on Pie is still there, but there is a slight improvement. TBH, with all the features on Miui 11, I'm not sure I'll be moving back to 10. It's just too much to ignore.
The guys complaining about Miui 11, especially the ones planning do downgrade, I wonder if they're aware of all these features or simply chose to ignore them. Miui 11 is a masterpiece and it should be forward ever, backward never. It can only get better.
