You seem to have done everything well, but that does not mean the Visa Officer would be satisfied with your salary and your 150k worth "account of shares". I see your finance circumstance as the little problem here

You had the chance when you applied for the visa, I mean, you could have asked them when you were being handed the refusal letter. Now, you can't have that opportunity except when you apply for the visa again. But like I explained, you know the answer yourself

opsy4real1: Please nairalanders? How do one get to sure and know if one has been placed under the 10 years ban? I need to know as it was never mentioned in previous refusal notes and indeed was given the right to appeal but gotta be sure, thanks
Unless you specifically ask them, Visa Officers are not obliged to tell you whether you are banned or not: If your visa application was refused, and the reason (or part of the reasons) is on the basis of deceitful attempt etc, then, you are under a ban 100%.
Don't be deceived by the "rights of appeal" you would still be given that right due to the category of visa that you applied for: but nothing can over-turn a ban unless the embassy was wrong in misjudging your documents to be fake etc. Well, you should know by yourself whether you were caught with deceit

koolmd: Hello House, I just need a clarification here. Am planning a trip (vacation)
To amsterdam, netherlands. The coy I work for here in nigeria is paying my
economy return ticket and also give me 750USd which they will state on the
introductorY letter I will take to the embassy as they have done on my trips to
Paris and Manchester in d past. I have 2 accts am presenting, a salary acct with
about 400k naira and a personal acct of about 3.1m naira balance. My concern is that
My acct with 3.1M balance I use for supplies and I frequently empty it at least two
Times or more every month when I have supplies to make and large cash lodgements
sometimes up to 2M naira are deposited into d acct at once.
This has been the way I've been operating the acct since I opened it some
six months ago. Can this be seen as large cash lodgements.
Perhaps it would be something considerable if your account is pretty old and if the narrated activities had been a routine development for long; But given that the length of the bank statement that is required by the embassy is 6 months, it could be suspicious if your account is exactly 6 months old and the statement comprises of re-occurrence lump-lodgements and withdrawal: Anyway, you know better if the lodgements and withdrawals are explainable with documented proof of purpose otherwise, it may be suspicious

mamathrice: Hello. I posted this on the USA visa thread but I hope I can get a response here. I travelled to the USA to have my baby. I paid all my bills, kept to my visit duration, etc. and hoped for the best but during my visa renewal interview, I was denied a visa. They asked me during the second interview if I knew I was pregnant the first time and I said, no, I did not know. What are my chances of getting a visa ever? The interview officer told me that I could apply again but with all this talk of ten year bans, etc, I don't know if it is worth it. Please someone should tell me what is up. Also, I see people going to the USA all the time to have their children and it seems that it is only when they use MEDICAID that becomes a big deal. A friend of mine has even gone three times. Was this really the issue or was it something else?
It is a serious violation to conceal pregnancy during visa application, and it is even more serious to give birth in a country if your visa is not issued on medical ground: and worse still, to deny the awareness.
Now, unlike the merciful 10 years ban that is applicable with the UK, You may never be issued a US visa again, this violation MAY attract a life ban from the USA depending on circumstances and judgement

How much for his trip from Iyana Iba to & fro? What currency should he have on him? Finally, Is there any additional fee requested on entry into the US embassy for his visa interview? Thanks. PEACE.

mayblossom: I applied for visa for family reunion at the spanish embassy in april and was given 30th may for visa collection. On 25th may,I got a call from the embassy requesting for additional documents from my husband in spain which he sent and was submitted since 6th of june. Upon submitting the documents, we were told that our file is now complete and that we should expect a call from them. This has not happened and it's really fraustrating. My husband calls the embassy sometimes to enquire the reason for the delay and each time he calls, they tell him not to call again that when they're through, they'll call us(the application is for me and my 1 yr old daughter). Please who knows how long it takes to process family reunion visa to spain? The wait is really fraustrating because one cannot do any planning like enrolling for further studies or any short course because you may pay the fees to start something and the embassy will call the next day. I have equally ignored some of such opportunities, believing I may not stay long enough to complete it,but get so hurt when I sit doing nothing and eventually stay long enough to have completed the courses. My husband is working in spain and we also submitted a copy of his work contract legalized by notary public in spain. We have waited for 4months now, with no specific date in view. Has anyone had similar experience? How do you handle such? Please your answers and comments will be appreciated. Thank you
Well, family Reunion visa could take anything from 4 weeks to 42 months depending on how simple or complicated a case is.
Know that, such visa category is beyond the jurisdiction of Embassy, it takes the home authority under the ministry to decide an application, and you know how slow these authorities could be as they often have time frames and they treat cases at the last moments

MinnyKay: Morning everyone. All the experts please help. I have a 6 months uk visa and plan to spend 3 days in Paris when in london for a 2 weeks holiday. I read the requirements for schengen visa on the France-ng.com. My question is, can I book an easyjet weekend break or Eurostar city break for the 3 days and use as my prepaid transport and prepaid hotel in place of confirmed airline reservation and hotel booking? Thank you all.
The UK visa does not entitle you to enter France, and you can't apply for the Schengen visa from the UK if you don't have its Residence Permit; you need make the application in nigeria:
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 9:32am On Aug 20, 2012
osile2012: Good Day,

I came across this website , while researching on Nigeria and UK travel requirement. I am planning to apply for uk visa by the end of this month but have some confusion in filling the form.

this is the case with me, i have enough funds to sponsor my trip,so i am applying as a general tourist. i have a sister who finished her masters in uk and her visa will expire this year.she stays in a shared apartment and said there is extra room that i can pay for and she can talk to her land lady instead of me paying for hotel.

I do not want it to look like a family visit because from the requirements of a family visit, the person you are visiting must have permanent residence in uk.

these are my questions.

1)should i pay for accommodation away from where she is stay?
If she has an accommodation available for you, there is absolutely no problem if you decide to state that you are staying in her house, but if you decide to stay away from her, that is also up to you, the decision is irrelevant and does not in any way impart your application

osile2012: 2) if i state that i will be staying in the same address with her, even though i will pay for the room, will they see it as family visit?
They would see your application according to what you are applying for, they can not treat your application as a Family Visit if you are applying for a Tourist Visa irrespective of who you declared to stay with; Believe me, i had applied for a Tourist Visa before and i declared to stay with an asylum seeker who was residing in a big house with his wife and 3 children, and the application was approved:
Your visa application would be decided according to your own calibre rather than your sister's circumstances.

osile2012: 2)3)they ask if i know anybody in uk and i have to state that i have a sister and i will visit her during my stay, do i need invitation letter from her even though i am sponsoring myself and she is not the main reason i am coming there?
Just like staying in any other accommodation facility, if you decide to reside at your sister's place, you would require to prove that there is accommodation available for you; she would be required to provide her Tenancy-Agreement/Rent-Book with proof of up-to-date rent payment: She would not be required to provide anything other than these.

osile2012: 2)4)if she talk to her landlady and she accept to give the room for my stay, there will be no receipt of payment, so how will the embassy be sure that the accommodation is available?
Depending on the kind of agreement that she has... If she is renting the whole House/Apartment (and the Tenancy-Agreement declares so), she would not need to contact the landlord about whoever she allows to visit and temporary reside with her, but if she is renting a part of the house or sharing with others, then, she needs clearance from the Landlord as well as approval from co tenants: and these should be done in writing, signed by all concerned and address to the Embassy.

osile2012: 2)5)is it possible to pay for a hotel for 10days, if i get there i can stay 2 days, and ask for refund then move to my sisters accommodation.
It depends on the Hotel Policy, please, refer to the Terms and Conditions of the hotel before clicking to "Accept"

osile2012: 2)the accommodation she is offering is cheaper, but i dont want them to consider it a family visit. please advice me on how to go about it.
Your visa application would be considered in its own merit and according to its category and based on your personal calibre, and not according to your sister's circumstances. You are good to go.

winwin123: @ Vicjustice: Thank you for your response. My case is a little different from the opening post. I ask if I can use my salary account showing the source of fund to be proceed from a personal loan or should I move the fund to my personal savings account and explain that the fund is from a loan gotten from my employer to enable me finance my studies?
Oh, i see; i thought you wee talking about Tourist Visa: It is always important to mention the category of the visa sought so that your query will be considered as best as possible.
Now, where-as it is impossible to get a Tourist Visa with a Loan (debt), but like Justwise had rightly suggested, You are allowed to use loan money to finance your studies, even in Europe, we do have "Student Loan Schemes"

Your query is comprehensively treated in the opening post, please, refer to it

justwise: Wait for your time, if you have invested that 800k in a business you would have been in a better financial position in a year or two, just like some people have said, the agent can only get you 10yrs ban because he is going to sort-out forged/fake documents for you and if by any chance the ECO did not notice it you still have wasted your money getting a visa that will not allow you to work, study or do business in the UK.
With just a single fake document in application, he stands a hight risk how much more when the entire documents are fake; there is absolutely no chance that he would get out of that undetected.

belovekiss: @Justwise...how can i apply myself when i don't have any document, as i am not working....is there a way i can apply myself? i wait for ur news.
Thanks.
Yes, there is a way that you can help it out: Give the money to the "Visa Agent", and then, go into prayer & fasting for 14 days, and your prayers might just blindfold the visa officer

Mr. Balogun stated that two inmates have been arrested stating that everything is now under control at the prison.

Earlier report
…Suspected criminals today bombed the federally-operated maximum security prison in Oko, Edo state. The attack carried out unidentified person reportedly triggered escape by some inmates.

Anonymous security sources said that the attackers bomber the gate of the prison after which they exchanged gunfire with prison guards on duty.

note: i dont like going to courts/far from me.........

thanks[/quote]But how could you have used a slang name or an alias in a document in the first place?
Well, Middle Names are not compulsory while filling any form, but since your documents carry your Middle Name you are therefore required to enter it in the form; and carrying documents with conflicting middle names is highly suspicious to a visa officer who has seen every fraud in the book.
However, there are series of ways that you can sort this out. I like to recommend that you update your documents before making the application, but if for any reason you can't do that, I suggest you use both names as Middle Names: ie Charles Emeka Mekus Onwugaoso.
Now, unlike First-Name and Surname, there is no regulation as to the number of Middle Names that one can have. You would be safe

Perhaps there are "1001" of them, but I'm yet to see a modern generation Swede who does not understand English

There would be no problem if you submit your application in October, in fact, it is to your advantage, and you are advised to allow enough time for your application.

Please, explain the discrepancies in the context figures highlighted in Red.

Use your account
Since you are applying as a tourist - please include your plans for the trip. Research on what tourists do in the UK. Show hotel reservation and an itinery.
I mean if you are planning on a holiday then your application should show it.

Since you have a letter from the office, your salary must reflect in that account or you should have some form of payslips to buttress that.

Lastly - no put 1500pounds for 6 days trip when your salary na 115k and you are single oh. Put a value that reasonably covers your hotel and living expenses
Perfect, well done
TravelRe: Uk Visa Refusal And Re-application by Vicjustice:
diddy11: Hello house. I seek the help of all those knowledgeable in this area for their advice: I applied for a visitors visa to the uk last year. I submitted all relevant documents such as: my payslip of about 115, ooo, letter of introduction from my employer, letter of appointment, my staff id card ,evidence of current payment to my professional body, nepa bill, evidence of hotel reservation and bank statement of about 1.2 million. However, I was refused on the following grounds: You state that you are an administrative officer and earn 115,ooo per month. I must take into account your personal and economic circumstance in Nigeria when coming to my decision. You have submitted no evidence of assets, savings or property in Nigeria. You have submitted no evidence of strong or financial ties in Nigeria. There4, I am not satisfied that you are seeking a genuine visit or that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit. 41(i) and (ii) . You have stated that in your visa application form that you will be financing yourself in the UK at a cost of 1500pounds. This is equivalent to 3months salary. You state you know no one in the UK. I am not satified that this amount is genuiely available for your trip or that you intend to spend this amount on a 6 day holiday. There4, I am not satified that you will be genuiely maintained in the UK or that yoy are able to meet the cost of the onward journey. 41(vi) and (vii). I have there4 refused your application because I am not satisfied on the balance of probabilities that you meet all of the requirements of the releveant Parargraph of the UK immigration Rules. Your right of appeal is limited to the grounds referred to in section 84(1)(c) of the nationality immigration and asylum act 2002 (www.legislation.gov.uk). I must say that after going through the ECO decision I was dumbfounded as I felt he was biased in coming to his conclusion, furthermore, I felt a bank statement of 1.2 million was evidence that I could support my trip to the uk, I have no intention to appeal, instead, I want to re-apply, what can I do right this time around? House I am at your mercy.
I have carefully examined your posts and I don't seem to understand what you probably did wrong, so i think it was a bad luck that caused your application to be decided by a stringent visa officer, your visa application (if done orderly) should have been approved because your Job is enough to stand as obligation and home tie.
I've seen people who are less financially imposing getting the visa even though their social ties are also less impressive; you were merely unlucky.
I don't think there's anything much that you can do, except to apply again with a consistent reason and purpose of application, DO NOT INVOLVE ANY SPONSOR and do not lodge (unusual lump sum of) money into your account.
When making your next application, ensure to admit that you have been refused a visa before, and when giving the reason for the refusal, be courageous to express your opinion that the Visa Officer was unfair in his judgement.
A reasonable visa officer would reconsider your circumstances and may approve your visa.

Note: Don't be mislead by the expression "Limited rights of appeal" this expression means NO RIGHTS OF APPEAL whatsoever, therefore you can NOT appeal that decision unless you have the FULL RIGHTS OF APPEAL which is not entitled to those who are applying for tourist visa
