zagorakis:
Good morning my good people, I have a question.
so I have a new work place which I have barely been 1 year, is it okay to use it (current work place) for CGFNS and BON registration or should I use my previous job address since I have been there for several years.
I am asking because of the information on Texas BON website: "An applicant must have worked within the 4 years preceding the filing of the examination application AND be within 4 years of his/her date of eligibility in order to sit for the NCLEX. For purposes of the NCLEX, the date of eligibility is defined as the issuance date for the initial Authorization to Test (ATT).
NOTE: An applicant may be requested to show proof of working if the BON has cause to question an applicant’s eligibility. Proof would consist of a ‘statement of practice’ including dates worked and listing of functions performed, completed on letterhead and sent directly to our office from the facility in which the practice took place.

My response is based on my understanding of your question.

The statement doesn’t mean that you should have been in the same hospital or employer for 4years. It means that it has not been more than 4years you last practiced if you are currently not practicing nursing. Therefore, any employment as a nurse irrespective of length of stay with the employer is valid.

I'm trying to register on the nmcn online portal but it's not going through
If you filled the PUF form, then us the “contact us” form to contact customer care. If you didn’t do the PUF, then do that first.

Please i want to ask that at the point of dependent visa application, is Maintainance Letter very important to be attached or can be skipped and the visa will still be issued.

Please help a sis.

The “yes” ticked for maintenance on your COS is enough proof. You don’t need an actual letter.
I have seen several visa approved with just this.

There are schools and you can choose any based on your budget.

HND is now strictly 3yrs( from Ministry of Education in Yaounde) + 1 yr top up BSc ( online/offline)

But, u can also talk to another school who can help with straight 4 years BSc....Person's choice.

Sometimes people like to get into the workforce faster through HND.

Person can begin any from Nigeria then enter Cameroon later, all depends on discussions with the schools.

Please I need urgent help on any school that you will refer based on your experience.

Does anyone also know if the Msc nursing entry to practice for Adult nursing in the UK is accepted by CGFNS for nclex in the USA?

For my nurses who schooled in Cameroon, I am thinking of referring someone there for the hnd program. Please how many years is it and can you provide me with schools that offer this course to international students from Nigeria.

Candidate is hoping to resume ASAP.

Can you pay for fast tracking even when it hasn't reflected on your page that the packages are delivered but tracking shows it has?

When applications get to cgfns, they will be sorted out ist and then sent to various departments. Depending on their load, this may take weeks. I dont know what you mean by fast tracking here.

thank you. I had assumed they charge applicants before rendering service to them.

For an RN based in the UK who wants to move to MD usa, which of these agencies do you recommend?

The applicant in question has just ielts & currently preparing for nclex

You can go with whatever agency will be happy to have you on board.

O'Grady offers premium process for i140
Avant is a big name and has good nurse support network

There are others and the ones above pay on a lower scale when you finally get to the US.

Westways is technically a travel nurse staffing agency so the pay is higher compared to Avant and O'Grady.

So you can pick from any one even those not mentioned above.

Goodevening everyone! I just joined this wonderful platform and I'm looking for clarification about cgfns. I'm new on this journey too. My nursing school sent my transcript to them in December and nursing council sent to them in january, and till now my dashboard doesn't reflect receipt of these documents. What does this mean? How long does it take for them to evaluate these documents?. Thanks in anticipation.
CgFns advises you to track your sent packages yourself through the courier company so that you can be sure it was delivered. They are not going to update their profile immediately they get it. It usually takes them 4 weeks plus to update the receipt of a document via courier or mail. Electronic documents are much faster to reflect on your application.

Wow can't believe I read from page 1 to page 192...it has being very interesting and educative.
Thanks to you everyone helping and sharing what they know..

Pls to the experience nurses that have migrated or about to, will you advice someone to study nursing if his only aim is to migrate to UK or USA or any first world country, or is nursing no longer among the jobs on shortage list..

There was a shortage of nurses in the USA when I graduated nursing school in 2012. There is still a shortage now, and there will always be a shortage of nurses in every IST world immigrant designation country.

how much are the average charges of these agencies?

What do you mean by charges??

Agencies do not charge any money from the applicant during the process. They get their reimbursement from the host hospital or off your pay when you get to the states.

Some still provide incentives like paying for your exams while others don’t.

I hope they sort it out soon. I want to register with Illinois board of nursing. Should I wait till CES report is ready or begin now? I will appreciate your response please.

I'm going through the same thing
I sent them a mail and they said the mailroom is full but they are working at full capacity to ensure everything is in place

It’s best to wait till it’s ready so that you don’t have to do one thing twice if it expired due to delays.

Please I need suggestions (asking for someone)
: I'm hoping to travel to the UK to look for NHS job myself, I've passed my IELTS and CBT exams, but it's as though I can't get any job offer yet. Would traveling to the UK help? since I'd already be in the country, and the NHS won't be paying for my flight ticket. Also, I don't mind paying for my OSCE ( just saying)

@vickyehi

I am curious on the type of visa the person wishes to use in gaining status in the UK. Like someone else said, intensify efforts of application. Review your CV and personal statement. Apply to KCHFT Nhs

Greetings to you all.

Please, how can a nurse in Africa with diploma gain admission into bsc nursing in united states?
Thanks in anticipation

You can gain admission by applying to the school thT you meet its criteria.

Note that most Rn to Bsn programs are for people with a USA RN license.

So you can apply for a traditional 4year nursing degree, get to the USA, get ur license, get a job, get work permit or EAD and change school to a more suitable online RN to bsn program.

How many years work experience must you have as a nurse(RN) in Nigeria before you can apply/get UK work visa?
From zero to however many years. It all depends on the job offer and recruiting facility. Most ask for 1-3 years experience.

Hello, please I'm new here.
Is it possible to gain canadian rn certification from Nigeria? Do i have to be in canada to start the process?
I have B.NSc ,RN, and RM. Please where do i start?

Well, Canadian licensure process is currently evolving in some provinces. However, you can start the process from outside of Canada but at some point, you will need to be in Canada.

Also note that Canadian licensure process isn't directly tied to immigration like the US and UK.

I wish us Godspeed and success in all our endeavours.

Happy new year....

Am not even close yet. NVC just sent acknowledgement of receipt of my file from USCIS this week. So am still waiting to send the documents.

A friend of mine has been DQ since Feb 2021 and still no interview date yet in Montreal. But another friend in Dubai has already done their interview and gotten their visas.

So I guess the wait continues

Is it possible to include my elder brother and my wife as my dependents if I'm relocating to USA with PR

NOT YOUR BROTHER, ONLY YOUR WIFE IS A DEPENDENT

Your dependents are your children under 21 (unmarried) and spouses only. There is a different visa to bring siblings to USA and it takes forever to get it approved because of the backlog.

Congrats.....make sure you only sign one offer and don't string employers on till COS stage. Note that multiple employers can not file COS for you at the same time.

How long does I-140 approval takes under regular processing now?

Officially 4-6mths without RFE. RFE generally makes the process longer.

Please who has tips for CBT,I'm all jittery.

With all due respect to the UK routers, but CBT is one of the easiest nursing exam to pass. All you have to do is go through your past questions, brush up on some additional policies and terminology relevant to UK, and calm down while doing the math portion (so you don't see 2x3 and be saying 5 like me).

1mth prep for CBT is more than sufficient. I have people preping in 2weeks self.
You just have to be confident and know that you are ALREADY A NURSE and nmcn finals is a much tougher nut to crack (and u passed that one).

Please I need clarification. I'm married and I have court certificate, change of name and affidavit but my license and international passport and NIN still bears my father's name.
Can I start my application with my father's name?I hope it won't affect my husband?
Please I need response

You are NOT married until you are.

So if you are filling your application right now, your marital status is single. If you put married, other documents will be requested for upload in the visa stage. And you do not have these documents.

You can always file for your husband AFTER your marriage certificate is out. So relax and do urs ist, pass ur osce, then file for him to join you. Or you may even choose to file for him immediately yoy touch down in the UK.
