Really....what happened?
I think individual cases are different tho....I know someone who signed up with them after passing NCLEX this year and the person is now waiting for interview date at the embassy
What may be causing their delays please

Again, that is entirely possible. But I'd advice anyone right now to go for who offers premium processing. I got FRE in sept 2019 and then covid struck 2020. So there are indeed lots of variables.

My friend whom we started together has gotten her green card.

I guess my village people too join undecided undecided undecided undecided lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Good morning,
Please I have pass both CBT and ielts but I didn't get job in uk what can I do ?

Apply to Ann homecare Northern island.
Join a support group of like minds, so they can give you referrals too
Adjust your CV and tailor it to each job on tracjob.com
Apply mostly to jobs that specify INTERNATIONAL NURSE RECRUITMENT. Else you will be getting lots of "unfortunately " messages when the jobs were never meant for overseas nurses.

Lastly, don't loose hope and keep applying. Tracjob indeed, Google search etc

There is in the school of nursing I applied to

Make sure your school is approved. That being said, ONLY individuals who obtain a REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE from NMCN can apply to RN jobs in the UK or anywhere else.

You may want to verify that you can do a post basic general nursing program before you commit money to this community nurse thing.

I personally have not heard about it, but then again it has been a while I have been around.

Thanks a bunch

Just don't lie in your application my saying you have your CBT and IELTS.

Thats why people are advised to hold on for a bit.

Jobs are plenty out there and you will get one when you have ur papers.

Hello gurus, pls I want to evaluate my bsc nursing with wes, which option am I to select out of course to course, or eca,
Can someone guide me on how to go about it pls.
Then my nursing licence from nursing and midwifery board, how do I evaluate it as well.

I am not certain that wes will 8ssue you the report you desire. If you are doing it for immigration, then it is WES ECA and not course by course.

The way it works is that you send transcript to the evaluating body, and then go to nursing council to send them verification of your license. At least that is what I did.

But when I did mine, it was to IQAS and it was back when they evaluated SON and SOM.

Check on the express entry thread for current information on how nurses get evaluated.

Hello everyone,
Please, how good is westways staffing agency for the USA?

They pay well when you eventually get to the uSA. But in recent times they have been VERY SLOW with applicants and lots of people I know are stuck and one stage or the other. I am signed to them and have been on i140 since 2019.

I'd take avant or o Grady if you want a faster green card.

Is there a way for a RN/RM can travel and work abroad when one has not written ielts or any of those exams? And if so how can one go about it?please i need answers, thanks.

A Capital NO

Like us Christians say, the only way into heaven is to be born again. ............thus, the only way into professional nursing abroad is a language exam (IELTS and other approved testers for English speaking countries).

I believe the question is asking for the figure if your practice hours in the last 5years. Year 1 would be the current year (aug 2021 to aug 2020) and continue to log it backwards till 5years ago.

Good morning...

Pls has anyone successfully done nmcn online verification application online.

Lots of people have. It take a while for them to send it without any inside person (but they will eventually send it ). As long as you filled the online update form the council put up a while ago, you should be good to do it urself.

For USA verification too?
I believe he should be able to help too. It may just not be as fast as the UK one because of time for sending the DHL package and it will be more expensive also as they have a huge price difference for the official price.

Finally got a new nmcn plug. You can send me a dm. The person usually gets it done in an average time of 1week (all things being equal).

Good luck to everyone on the journey

Please sis vicehi, can you engligten me on steps to become lpn in Canada?

They aren't exaggerating too much. Another thing people do is try to get registered as an LPN along side the RN application. But in all of these process, you need to be within Canada to complete the process.

Same process as the RN. Go to the previous pages and read through. A thorough explanation of the Canadian process has been given already on this thread.

Thank you

Hi everyone. Thank you for your contributions to this thread. I am about to start my nnas evaluation process and I’m really discouraged from stories I heard from people . Someone said every Nigerian nurse will be given a non comparable advisory report regardless or BSN or masters (in Canada oo)….and will be asked to do a bridging course (I need a break from school!!)…. Is it true or my friend is just exaggerating? Thank you

Good day all,
After accepting an offer of employment and getting to work in US, how long does it take to bring in ur kids and spouse. Thanks

If you are married, your entire family can be included in your green card application. Therefore, if you have the money for it, you all can move at the same time. Most agencies will only pay for you and you will have to pay for the rest of your family.

My sisters my case is different. I have read through from page 1. I am an art student that want to port to nursing in Canada. I'm already looking for schools. Can anyone please recommend a school or college that I can start with practical nurse or personal support worker. Thanks

Its nice you want to switch professions.

Anyways, whatever you want to study in Canada MUST BE RELEVANT TO THE NIGERIAN JOB MARKET. Therefore, you CANNOT use admission for areas like licensed practical nursing and healthcare aide (personal support work).

Yes you can study them when u eventually get to Canada, but can't use it for your visa application as those professions do not exist in Nigeria.

The aim of a study permit is to prove that your study will be useful in Nigeria.

Hello everyone,

I have questions regarding my express entry application which I am about to start and I am a bit confused. I tried to read up on some posts and I got some info but I would like some clarifications. So a lil info about me, I have my BSN, RN, RM and RPHN from Nigeria I am currently in my final semester of my Master of Nursing program in Canada and I plan to use the degree to get higher points. So,
1. I read that evaluation of the highest degree is what should be done, therefore if I am using my MN degree (a Canadian degree), I do not need to get it evaluated right?
2. If I do need to get my bsn, rn and rm evaluated, which agency is more advisable? IQAS OR WES OR?
3. What other specifics do I need to know/

Thank you for all the work you do.

You do not need to waste time evaluating your undergrad.
If you have worked in naija before leaving for Canada and can prove it with references, then you also do not need to wait for 1year after getting your pgwp. You can apply immediately using your naija experience and your Canadian masters degree.
Just ensure you calculate your crs score accurately and you should be fine.

Please friends I want to ask, I will be graduating soon BSN in the Philippines. They don't allow us to take their board exam, and I am looking for another way. So I am asking if its possible that when I write Nclex here, I could find a job in either Canada or US without experience or licence from home country or just look for a country to do my masters. Your suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you

Contact the Nigerian nursing and midwifery council to enquire if you can take the Nigerian RN examination with your Philippines education.

Both countries you mention require a license and work experience (in most cases).

FYI, countries like UAE, USA, UK will first choose a Cameroonian with his qualification over a Nigerian because selecting a Nigerian, comes with a lot of baggages.

Please my friends, brothers and sisters, of a truth, as of last year, all nursing programs from Cameron are not accepted in any US board of Nursing. Please let us be guided and I think this platform is to help and guide one another. And Nursing profession as I know though I'm not a nurse can't be gotten in 1 year. Thank you.

If you have facts to back up your claim, pls include proof of that before you "shame" an entire country.

BTW.....I believe the 1 year nursing program is a post licensure program. Anyways In USA you can go from RN to BSN in less than a year if you so please (Western Governor University).I technically completed my RN to BSN in about 12mths. It was intensive but it is possible.

I am sure if I understand your question but I'd answer ro the best of my understanding.

As a Nigerian RN/RM, in express entry yiu will need to apply as a registered nurse because there is no LPN designation in Nigeria.

All you would need is an evaluation body that will recognize your RN/RM .... I am not sure which body currently gives a positive response currently.

On getting to Canada, yiu can choose to get your license as an LPN or RN. LPN certification is generally a little easier.

Good day everyone and a huge appreciation to all those that answer questions on this platform,

I have been trying to check the requirements for the application of the compressed BSN programs but it seems those with previous nursing degrees are exempted from offering it. A number of schools I have checked/contacted so far either exempted those with nursing degrees on their websites or told me the program is not for internationally educated nurses. So please, does anyone know any internationally educated nurse(s) that took this route or any school(s) that offer accelerated BSN inclusive of applicants with previous degrees in nursing. @vickyehi do you personally know anyone with a nursing degree that succeeded through this route? I appreciate your responses.
Specifically university of Alberta. I have a collegue there right now.

Hi
I’m a graduate registered nurse in Nigeria and I wish to practise in Canada. I’ve read most of the post here and the advise was to apply for compressed BSN which would make it easy for me to write NCLEX-RN. My questions are; would I make it known that I’ve BNS in Nigeria when applying. Is it BNS I’d apply for or Masters to enter Canda? If BNS , would it be advisable to apply for BNS straight from Here or go for like public health then change course when one gets there? Thank you!

I'd advice you to apply for something that shows a logical progression and relevance to your job or prior education first. This is just to acquire the study visa. Hopefully you are granted, then you can switch courses or even school after entering Canada to the after degree nursing programs.

What if you get ita with the 470 score? What then will you do?

Thank you @vickyehi. Please do tell me the after degree programs and the schools that offer them. I will check Google too for more info. I think its better, as long as I'll write NCLEX once I graduate without waiting 2 to 5 years for NNAS. Additionally, do you have any idea if I can do a postgraduate nursing program and write NCLEX without NNAS?

Happy new year friends,@vickyehi and Barbie,I wanted to start my online processing with nmc uk and nmcn, wanted the registration to be fast for me,but a friend of mine who did far back at Oct 2020 got verified a week ago,and she said it now takes 3months,please I want to know if that's the standard now,or pls if there is way to speed it up,i don't mind, would really appreciate it.please @ vickyehi, you haven't replied to this.
I dont know how long the process for nmc currently takes, but you can try to get an inside person who may be able to facilitate the process for you. I have a contact that I am willing to share, but I haven't used him in a while and so am not sure how much he actually speeds up the process these days. You can send me an email for his contact.
