Neam9:Yes it is. Submit the certificate and a statement of account of 4-6mths. Highlight the transfer of the money from your account to the fixed deposit account (not required but helps the blind VOs). 4 Likes 2 Shares |

IboBoyNuel:They would need to pay for it with their credit card. You can sign the consent form and send it to them to help you process it. My thoughts on you doing it yourself is thar your IP address clearly would show you arent in canada and you may not know what their legal name is. Also, you cant do it without their consent as that would be impersonation. I don't have any specific company to refer you to. Sorry! |

UrekMazino:Note that it can also be REJECTED. The university is already aware of the format your school uses in typing these transcripts to them. 1...it is addressed to the school in a typed up letter attached to the transcript 2....it is stamped on the flap after sealing it and signed 3.....I dont know about your school but some schools indicate student copy on the transcript they give to their students. My advice: Put in the work and stop trying to cut corners. You might end up penny wise. |

oilyngbati: This a good plan but it is not entirely true. Firstly, you are not required to show proof for the entire duration of your program. You only need to show proof for 1year only, then show the source of the funds. Not all colleges are cheaper than the universities in their yearly tuition. Example: The college in brandon, manitoba (ACC)charges about 14-16k for tuition. The university charges about 12-18k depending on your degree. So your primary focus should be on securing that with a lower yearly tuition. Secondly, depending on your type of degree, obtaining a USA degree may make things more difficult for you if you intend to remain in Canada. This is because when you bring that degree back to canada(mostly for professional courses requiring licensing) you would be regarded as an international graduate and face the same trouble like you schooled in Nigeria or Europe. 1 Like |

oilyngbati:Congrats! It would be wise to also consider longterm plans like securing your permanent resident status before moving to the states. The ban would currently hinder you from getting same in the USA. So calculate your move very well. 1 Like |

UrekMazino:Dont be discouraged. As long as you can find someone to give you a statement of account, then you are golden. Truthfully, I had less than what you have right now when I decided to start. I also didn't have up to that available for my spending when I arrived. So you would still survive if you apply yourself and have a good spending culture. |

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by vickyehi: 4:13pm On Feb 29, 2020 |
UrekMazino: In reality yes but fact is that the letter of admission issued to you has a financial commitment breakdown that considered you taking the entire 30cr. Then again for most schools, you cant pick courses till you have had a meeting with your advisor after getting your visa. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by vickyehi: 4:09pm On Feb 29, 2020 |
UrekMazino:The answer to this is Yes and No. Yes because in reality, that is about 16k cad and would be sufficient for you to pay your first term tuition in a school in Manitoba and cater for at least 6mths of bills. However, you would need to secure a job within this period and figure out a way to fend for yourself. In manitoba, this would be possible if you are doing a 1year or max 2year course. Your hustle would support your tuition if you commit the hours. No because you need to show proof of the entire tuition of approximately 30credits (roughly 16-21k cad in brandon university) and an extra 10k for living expenses. This means you would need to show an account statement and source of funds up to 10m naira. I hope you understand. 1 Like |

UrekMazino:Yes the minimum you can register is 9credit hours (3 courses per semester) but during your Visa application, tuition is calculated for the entire credit load of your program( which is 30cr/yr). |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by vickyehi: 3:59pm On Feb 29, 2020 |
UrekMazino:The total credit load of a year is mostly 30credits (10 courses). |

SOLARPOWER1: Writting the NCLEX-RN is the last stage of the canadian and USA process (that is after all evaluations are done and the candidate receives an authorization to test from the BON). So even if you are fully licensed in USA (including passing the NCLEX-RN), it means NOTHING to the canadian process at the onset. You would still have to get evaluated by Nnas and progress from there, and that often means the test of skills they conduct and a bridging program if gaps were found during the test of skills. I can almost guarantee you that gaps would be found if you are coming straight from Nigeria to get tested. |

SOLARPOWER1:Based on the information provided here, you would not get invited to apply if you submit an express entry profile. OPTIONS: if you are male and your intended is a female less than 30yrs with 2 degrees or a masters degree, then they can be the principal applicant and would qualify as a family using your spouse's profile. Use the link below to manipulate your parameters as they relate to your situation. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Note that recent draws have been for those in the 470s. Lastly go to the Express entry thread to learn more about the process. https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/392#86872249 1 Like |

kweenoma001:You can apply to any school within the country. Your choice of school would depend on how much you can afford for tuition. You can look into schools like University of Alberta University of regina Brandon university University of manitoba University of Winnipeg.......etc , or type "10 cheapest schools in canada" into google search engine and work your way down. Although the schools may require you to send your SON transcript, admission would be equivalent to that of a high school graduate. None of your previous courses would transfer over. Word of advice: Write and pass your ielts academic, pass the CBT exams and move to the UK to work. It is a surer process and would take you less than 6mths. Start salary for most NHS jobs is 20-25k pounds yearly. |

sim2003:Being a fiancee isnt a marital status. That means that there is no place in an immigration application to indicate the seriousness of a relationship except you are married or in a common law situation. Not claiming your son the first time around, may mean that you can NEVER claim him again as your child except you try to fix it now. |

sim2003:They didnt ask you to prove anything. They only said include the name of all your dependents. You may probably want to thread with caution as this could be grounds for misrepresentation. Except a case where the father just recently became aware that he has a son for the first time since his last application. Meaning if the child is a recent information to you, then it isnt misrepresentation, but if you knew and suppressed that information in your previous application, it is misrepresentation. Ignorance of the law isn't an excuse 1 Like |

vibrant99:Smh Bro, the point here is that the definition of an extreme weather is dependent on what that community is accustomed to. For example, Texas received 2 inches of snow and it was more than they had ever gotten in more than 20years. The city had to shut down over 2inches of snow. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/globalnews.ca/news/3904850/texas-louisiana-snow-weather-shut-down/amp/ A canadian would generally laugh over that news because we are accustomed to functioning with snow fall Greater than that. It would take more than 2inches to lock down manitoba. Towards the end of 2019,most of manitoba had a snow fall of more than 20 to 40 cm. Some places got 60cm of snow. Now, this was a snow fall that halted most movements in the city that day. I still had to go to work though , but only those with trucks dared the roads. The highways were shut down for about a day and half while they cleared them up. https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/manitoba-snowstorm Point is that "normal" is relative. 1 Like |

Amy360:Not to discourage you or anything, but unlike other countries , canada requires you to be within canada to complete the credential process. This means that it is virtually impossible to complete the licensure processes without being a temporary or permanent resident of canada. This is because along the evaluation process, you would be required to take exams in canada. You might be required to do a top up program also offered only in Canada. The easiest way to immigrate to canada is the Express entry system and being a registered nurse doesnt give you any edge over a HR person. Refer to the sister thread below for more information on Express entry. https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/392#86872249 My advice is to head to the uk first as it is cheaper and faster for you to start practicing. 1 Like |

SOLARPOWER1:8.0 is an overall good attempt but what exactly are your individual band scores. For you to be successful against the current CRS trend for canada, your ielts should be more than or equal to 8777 in LwRS. You should be less than 31 with 2 evaluated degrees. To be able to help you better, Tell me the following details: Age Marital status Years of work experience Highest educational qualification Knowledge of french Sibling in canada |
