Christianity Etc › Re: Christianity And Drinking Of Wine by vickyO(f): 1:52pm On Oct 19, 2013
Too much consumption of food is sin, overindulgence in alcohol is bad... drunkards shall go to hell..... so it ain't a sin when consumed moderately. Redwine's got some health benefits.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Sinful To Wear Trousers As A Christian Lady? by vickyO(f): 12:08pm On Oct 11, 2013
female shirts - male shirts
female trousers - male trousers
female gowns - male agbada,dansiki,jalamia,...
female skirts - Scottish kilts
unisex baseball caps
female suit - male suit
why is it only trousers religious folks focus onhuh?? both sexes wear the same thing, its just that they are sown in different styles..:.............
and many ladies who believe female trousers, make up and all is a sin end up thinking they are more holy than those who do opposite. that's just a pity cause they've been brainwashed and are terribly mistakened...... Salvation is a personal thing and we will give account of ourselves on that day, the judgement day... so how we work it out is no one's business but God's so let the ladies breathe. Pray for those who haven't met Christ and those who have but haven't let Him in....

the events I mentioned were done as God ordered them. the parting of the red sea was ordered to pave way for the Israelites, the opening of the earth to swallow korah, dothan and abiram,. tsunamis and earthquakes are disasters but God being the owner of the universe used these events to help his children and punish offenders. can you scientifically use disasters for your own purpose

You know thi
Hezron Lorraine: I'm not disputing that same-sex intimacy is a sin,it is only the s.exual act that is considered.

Man and woman was created by God to continue humanity.I can tell you that homosexuality was also in the masterplan for human race.God knows the imperfections of the human mind,he knew that there be a time when members of the same-sex would share chemistry and their hormones exploding uncontrollable. His main purpose can't be altered.at least we know from scriptures that God was remorseful of some actions.therefore no one knows his true mind on the lifestyle.we can only make assessment from scriptures.
It's left between the person and God to determine whether the person is for destruction or not.
no no no ... you acknowledged that it is a sin. God knows about our imperfections, correct. that is why he sent the Holy spirit to us to help us in our walk towards perfection in Christ. you cannot say because we are imperfect dwell and wallow in sinful nature. we ought to kill flesh. shall we continue in sin for grace to abound?
my brother, it might be a tough one for you though but know that God knows about our imperfection and he wants us especially his children to be more like him. he loves you, tell him to help you
Christianity Etc › Re: Reasons Why Christians Are Going To Hell by vickyO(f): 9:21pm On Sep 06, 2013
you are just one fierce FOLYKAZIST.
Allow Christians o... We aren't self righteous.
we say the truth when necessary.
We aren't perfect cause we're humans and so the Holy Spirit leads us towards perfection.
We might be guilty as charged but that doesn't give you the right to condemn us.
Moreover, most of those things you posted are so not sin, Christians understand better.
Christianity Etc › Re: Shocking Truth To Smokers by vickyO(f): 8:56pm On Sep 06, 2013
It isn't right to indulge in drinking and smoking, no drunkard and murderer shall inherit God's kingdom, we know. You don't have to quote all those scriptures. It's simple and plain.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can You Be A Christian And Still Be Gay? by vickyO(f): 8:30pm On Sep 06, 2013
I know, everyone will go to any extent to support hi or her view.... The Bible has never for once accepted that act, in the old and new. If you don't agree with Paul, I'll say this, God made Adam and Eve, he said Adam needed a companion. He didn't make a man like Adam again but a different human and she was known as woman and named Eve. His intention for making Eve was for companionship and he later said be fruitful and multiply.
Marriage is the only place where sexual intimacy is permitted in the Bible, and Jesus said that any man who divorces his wife. note his wife (a female). It's obvious Jesus definition of marriage is one between a man and woman.
I don't know how else to tell you... If you aren't convinced, talk to God about it, truthfully, honestly and I pray you get answers.
Christianity Etc › Re: Another Christian Fallacy. by vickyO(f): 8:19pm On Sep 06, 2013
I couldn't read it jare, it's too long.
To be candid, If you aren't a Christians, lots of questions would bug you (when I was a kid I asked who God was, how he was created and blah, blah, blah) and most times, these questions don't have human based logically answers. the Bible in Gen 1:16 which is the account of the sun moon and stars came after He created the Earth, I am not disputing that fact, it's there but I don't have answers to why one was created before another. (and I didn't study theology)...
I am a Christian till I die but it isn't every time I have answers to some questions.
But note this, His ways are not our ways... He can do things that isn't naturally or scientifically possible e.g. parting the red sea, the rainbow, the earth opening up to swallow, hail stones and many more.... I end on this note. 'Roy' McBlue and Heathen.... But I would love you guys to give Christ a chance in your lives.... Even in life you don't find answers to everything..

What's your motive?
I was only trying to help. I thought you'd find answers there.
My motive is pure.

Personally, I wouldn't mind clicking the link, which I did btw, but not everyone has the mb or the patience to read through all that riot.

Which is why it's only fair that you should summarize the high points of the link for the benefit of the general audiences.

Christianity Etc › Re: Can You Be A Christian And Still Be Gay? by vickyO(f): 7:17pm On Sep 06, 2013
Hezron Lorraine: our arguement against homosexuality is mainly a misinterpretation of scripture
to think it is. The Israelites only knew
homosexuality as a violent relationship. (Sodom
was a r.ape story).hence Paul's message.But let's ask ourselves.why didn't Jesus outrightly condemn Homosexuality,according to records Jesus Lived in a Roman-jewish era,homosexuality was a common practice known to the vast populace.He didn't condemn gays.
If only Christ had a clear message on homosexuality.
Not all Bible passages we quote was pronounced by Jesus. Well, what Jesus was unable to talk about (due to his short ministry), the apostles spoke about it through the leading of the holy spirit. The apostles are like our coaches in this Christian race. the laws of Moses spoke against it in the OT and the Holy Spirit through Paul spoke against it in the NT. It doesn't matter who said it. Jesus didn't speak about tongues, Paul did and it's evident in Christendom today.
and where is it recorded that the Israelites knew it as a violent one, the Israel nation wasn't even in existence in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. God told Moses to tell the people that it ain't right and to show that that law wasn't abolished Paul discouraged believers from indulging in it.

kandiikane: I am not angry but what I cannot understand is the words bible bashers tend to use. Noone is saying go against your guide but don't use it when it suits you? Noone is saying accept the act but they should be treated as normal humans. Let God deal with it. It does not affect you in any shape or form so why are you letting it bother you?
I hope you read the Bible passage... the problem is that, He came out trying to justify his actions under Christianity, which is wrong and it bothered us Christians cause it isn't the right message. that trait isn't acceptable in Christianity... But outside Christianity, morality might be questioned but it's no body's business what you do. Sorry if some our comments sounded crude and cruel but the truth must be told. Let's say, He is a normal human with a highly scrutinized sexual orientation.
and let me remind you again, I haven't defiled myself sexually, but I ain't miss holy. I'm walking towards perfection

For the benefit of lazy readers, why don't you summarize the content of the link, thanks.
I am not ready to give answers... though I tried by providing that link and if you think it proves nothing then so be it (and I doubt if you read it fully)... As for the lazy readers, sorry, I can't summarize, if you can't read, don't open the link or you can ask Roy Mcblue to summarize it for you (he's read it), I've got better things to do.

kandiikane: Oh shut up jare. A man is ought to be an epitome of ego? What bullshyt is this shyt? Are you not educated? Why don't you be an epitome of female slavery since that is what women are 'suppose' to be. Why don't you live your life slaving for men? Who said everything should be accepted? Religious texts also says a woman defiling her body should be stoned/killed why are we not following God's orders? Why are you not dead yet because I know you have defiled your body. According to your logic, is it because being black was accepted that is why there is so much trouble in the black community? Jesus never spoke of homosexuality but he had a lot to say about fornication.

I am guessing those that wrote the bible only had issues with gays but not lesbians since they enjoyed having two girls play with themselves in their harems.
I won't shut up ok... Ego is a males make up whether you accept it or not. And besides I haven't defile my body sexually... don't just assume ok. and it's like you need to be enlightened on the part that we are no longer under the law. Wives are to be submissive to their husbands and ladies to their fathers, not that you'll should be a slave.
ok, about the, is it only male homo's the Bile condemns. HERE the book of Romans 1:26-28 says, 'For this cause God gave them up unto their vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.
I hope the above scripture is more encompassing...
Don't be angry ok... You're airing you views and so am l. I understand you point of view but I cannot go against the scriptures, It's my guide.... What is wrong is wrong.
and what is with the Black community?
Christianity Etc › Re: 10 Questions For Religious Folks. by vickyO(f): 6:17pm On Sep 06, 2013
People are really answering you, not surprising though.
Romans 1: 18- 32, I'll pick the traits you possess for now..... vs. 21 they glorified him not as God...and their foolish heart was darkened, vs. 22 professing themselves to be wise they became fools, vs. 29-31 being filled with all unrighteousness, debate, deceit, haters of God, inventors of evil things, without understanding. vs. 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death not only do the same but pleasure in them that do them.
I won't waste my time answering those questions of yours... Trying to make mockery of God and his decisions.
When you are ready to know the answers, Seek Him DILIGENTLY and he will find you and give you divine understanding of God. Giving you answers is like trying to convince a man on a matter he has already firmly decided.

kandiikane: It is hypocrisy. Many of these people condemning homosexuals are even worst sinners. If for example, God decides to punish homosexuals and forgive people that defile their body in other ways, hurt, kill etc then that is not the God I serve. Being attracted to the same sex is not a choice. I mean how the hell will a normal straight person get up and say he wants to indulge in buttphucking with a man? huh

They said we're made from or of his image. If we are that means he isn't perfect either. He feels all the emotions we feel as recorded in the bible. If us mere humans can tolerate and accept gays in our lives, I don't see why he won't.

animals practice homosexuality, does that mean one day they just got up and decided to sniff another male animal's anuz? No. There are many things in this world that do not go according to the rules of nature but they still occur. People are born with two gènitals, is that the status quo? Kids at a very young age do not like the gènitals they have on them, People are born without limbs, blind, etc. These are not the status quo but they still occur and that is life, accept it!
It is funny how the black man is discriminating against another minority when we are still in bondage and being
discriminated against. Talk of misplaced priorities!
Look here, he was trying to defend the action God described as an abomination. The Bible explicitly says it is an abomination.... We aren't discriminating him. If everything is acceptable in the society, then there is trouble. Homosexuality isn't right, don't try to justify it... If someone comes up and try to defend fornication or incest, I'll speak against it but that doesn't mean I'm discriminating the fornicator. The act is disgusting and ewwish; when a man who ought to be an epitome of ego, authority and firmness begins to act otherwise, it's pathetic sad cry.

that's enough example, they wouldn't bring it up if it wasn't used... no hair arrangement was described in the NT but it was addressed by the Apostles huh... The Bible is a guide not a storybook, it only keeps record of important things..

this topic is one of the most controversial in Christendom. And I wont stop advocating for freedom in Christianity. whatever I do, wear.. is none of your business as you know we'll give an account of our lives to God.
@op It isn't bad. Its just a piece of clothing that can be worn decently and indecently. wear whatever you feel comfortable in and one the holy spirit will approve us. Smoking, cheating and co are things that are naturally not right, you don't need the Bible to figure that out, even unbelievers know. So if your faith permits you to put on pants, go ahead and if not don't condemn those who do. peace
Christianity Etc › Re: One Woman's Quest To Share Christ With A Muslim by vickyO(f): 10:52am On Sep 05, 2013
Muslims be saying Mohammed is the comforter. Who did he comfort? Not me sha. He preached the exact opposite of what Jesus preached. According to Biblical standard, Mohammed was an immoral, sinful and imperfect man. The Holy Spirit is the comforter sent by Christ to Christians. so please Muslims, don't misinterpret Jesus. and Moreover, Mohammed isn't in the Bible, what the Bible said was that false prophets will come later and they'll deviate from the gospel. The Holy Spirit came not long after Jesus death, God won't leave us hanging for so long. Mohammed came maybe 100 years (not sure about the years though) after Christ's ascension.
@op, thanks for the write up, I don't care if it's fiction, it has sent across a strong message to Christendom and Christians and non Christians let it inspire you, open your window of understanding. Peace.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Ok For Guys To Wear Earrings To Church? by vickyO(f): 9:13am On Sep 05, 2013
These non-jewelry wearing doctrine upholders are just pathetic. @op in Nigeria, people view boys who wear earrings as wayward boys or hooligans or touts so for the sake of the gospel don't use it but it's not a sin according to the Bible. back to the non-jewelry peeps, the Bible doesn't condemn the usage of earrings, The Apostles just said Christian women should focus more on beautifying their inside. They said we should be noticed for our good deeds not for being the most fashionable. E.g. Dora Akuyili was noticed for the good works she did in NAFDAC but that didn't mean she didn't dress well. this is what the Apostles were tryna say. and Paul said if your faith does not permit you to do something don't condemn those who do it. moreover, Jesus wore one of the most expensive cloths of His time but He wasn't noticed for that but for the good works he did, Mary washed Jesus feet with an expensive perfume yet Jesus didn't condemn that, Most pastors wear expensive suits to preach, why condemn the women only? Let the Word of God speak to you not the doctrines of your pastor..
