Its a false narrative that drivers are trying to perpetuate, in my opinion.
I would say its fueled by greed and a lack of discipline.
It would pay everyone if integrity is made an abiding principle.
Everybody should be making money in this biz, driver and owner.
I'm saying this especially on the backdrop of the number of people who've been forced to the fence... In the end, its the driver that's the loser because most owners do not depend solely on rent from uber, Gazzuz and co are prominent examples. I know the number of riders who've said that they were forced to sell their cars cos of stories from drivers, most of those drivers are still solely dependant on uber.
Been on 35k and never defaulted... Now I'm in the market for my own car.
I can only clap for you, well done grin, but some1 need to let you know we have heard and seen this type of post b4 here. Why don't you start by telling us more details like what type of car u used and which saka phone or method too, also don't forget to tell us how u sleep out or worked till very late, tell the full story and not give us half baked cork n bull story. Na only u dey road abi that u think u can come and rubbish everyone making genuine effort on Lagos roads daily with huge risks everywhere. I only pity people that will believe u achieved 35k weekly "conveniently", you are not married i guess or you don't have family members that and bills to pay? This are all the info u must submit b4 i can believe you consistently paid 35k for months without ever owing even 1k cos that's what this post is meant to make us believe. But I am happy for u if u are truly in market for your car so goodluck to you. grin

Any partner giving 25k weekly for a fuel efficient car , is more than likely giving you car with problems .......
Oh wow! Is that how you see it? Well I am not disappointed this is coming from you but i av people around me driving corolla and camry they collected toks at 25k on HP and even rents, it has to do with the mind, and when you dont take loan to do business you plan well and give good offers that suites drivers in a way they will not over work the car. Is that to say that you give out ur honda civic at 30k cos the car too is fuel efficient huh embarassed woow over 15years old cars that one can easily land in 9ja btw 800k to 1m shocked huh

Do u run a fleet? One can post 30k ... but it's never a final rent. Drivers still have the edge to negotiate upon physical inspection among other criteria.

So your data isnt absolutely correct

I run a small fleet and have friends who run fleets too... I am in a WhatsApp group of over 100 drivers n I can say getting 30k rental is saying Corolla is the best for the job cheesy grin
Baba i dey hail o... been a while.
I have always known you to be realistic, i am happy you are still a realist!

Continue deceiving him. He is not actually ready to get to work.

Any owner who use 1.8M to buy a tokunbo car and accept his request, will loose his capital, won't make a dime. Transport vehicles depreciate fast, in less than 5months massive repairs kicks in.

People with 30k weekly are struggling to recover their capital.
I submitted facts happening around me nothing deceptive in my submission, it's you and other investors that should face reality, since ehailing app company av decided to drop prices to remain in the competition why are investors not facing them, why must drivers die for it? Simply put the cars you wan put for 30k/35k will surfer for it las las cos d desperate ones will not argue with u and collect the car cos they know they will not loose out highest u will collect the car and dey simply move to another car so na who dey fool who grin, abi no be sombody car u use work take buy your keke marwa grin grin grin
You better advice your fellow investor people to join dru23 brands cos I am about to do same bfor that brand to go expensive like corolla undecided

I want to buy a Nigerian used car for ride sharing and would like to know if manual cars have a disadvantage when compared to automatic cars.
Manual is always good but driving manual in a state like Lagos with madt daily traffic tongue u go here am if na u dey drive am but if u plan to give it out then be ready to give it out cheap cos u will see limited drivers willing to drive manual to hustle, so if u are driving it urself then u can manage if not i will advice u don't limit ur biz. grin

Just leave dos attacking you they will not say the truth here. Drop ur whatsapp detail lets chat and see if i can link you to a camry 03 at 25k if u want.

Don't give up bros, many drivers are doing 25k.
When I got my own 25k car last month my neighbor started disturbing to help me with one, just today one my client finished registering her car and he told me to help get driver I told her I can't do that because I can only vouch for myself as most drivers will always disappoint talking from experience.
But I had to connect him with the guy later after speaking with my guy and he promised to behave, I even told the Lady to do 25k so their won't be stories and they won't overwork the car she said that's not a problem but she needs a good and responsible driver.
I didn't work today was with her throughout today, so just take ur time.
In my own opinion i think this is very important for investors to determine the actual price to place on a vehicle, put 30/35k and risk overuse and multiple drivers which will certainly be of diffrent grade of carefree attitude, i which i took a picture of an 03 Camry som1 picked which was reg in March 2019 which used to be at 30k but now na 25k o cos diffrent drivers don use and dumped the car in just 5months. i recently linked som1 to a corolla 20k, camry 25k, and i even av a park member that has a partner who gave out 2 corollas 25k/3m on HP, he recently mentioned another person planning 4psc at same price, so it's not impossible for investors to diligently be ready to spread ROI over good time as far as u give drivers peace of mind to work. Last week i picked a partner who said he has 3 cars, 1 is on a yearly contract of 100k per month lease driver handles maintenance, anoda 30k owner does maintenance, and 25k on HP, all these are live scenarios i av seen myself and trust me i can continue to mention the bad once too, just passing my opinion i know its not easy to drop the cash but u beta be prepared than be sorry so you don't join the numbers of numerous reg cars for sale right now. huh embarassed

I posted this for my friend, and i will also benefit from the responses.

Good morning sirs, please don't ignore. I have decided to put either my Volvo or g35 infiniti on uber as i am tired of sitting at home doing nothing.

Here is my calculation, if a corolla can net 40k per week, i will be good with a 15knet per week instead of sleeping away my life. Is 15k possible per week with the Volvo? Aside money, i will be able to meet people.

On paper, the g35 has a better fuel economy. It averages 20, while Volvo does 19mpg. But my Volvo is more rugged than the infiniti.

I got encouraged when a Lexus Rx330 showed up for a request i made in ogudu yesterday.

Please guys advise me, an idle mind/d.ick is a devil's workshop.

I am confused.
Why dont you or your friend value the 2 cars cos If i have those two cars i will rather sell them and buy toks toyota camry 03/04/05/06 if it can't buy a corolla, you can even sell one if u don't want to sell the 2, house they ya hand and the key to open the house also dey ya pocket too. Goodluck

Note that doing per hour you must sound it loud that it's a must the person do the four hours nothing less so the person will not play smart with you. As well going out of state while on this agreement is a separate bergain.

Since it's a Uber trip u can contest their decision to review your trip since dey don even give you the option there sef, so if you genuinely dint do any add up then compose English giving them the route used and time spent plus traffic experience, patapata uber go compensate you, just stand your ground fire them convincing mail.

Guys please what is going on with these yellow cab/oko asewo driver at most of the garages in Lagos. I have seen them putting up fight with uber drivers picking rider. Can't private car pick rider from public garage again or even park to relax or is there any rule to "public garage". I have witnessed 2different case at Anthony garage (called Oshodi garage ).
Don't try that Anthony park expecially o, you need to know they pay dues and like you too they are trying to make money, they used to be champions on Lagos roads but emergence of Ehailing has reduced them hustle extra hard, they are trying to protect their hustle too same thing that happens at the airport. Whenever you get to that Anthony park make sure u av spoken to ur rider and just park outside for d person to meet you na wahala u dey find if u drive into d park cos dey take u as uber expecially if u drive corolla grin
Airport trip or not, don't drive into people's compound. It's dangerous. I explain my reason to my riders and they all understand. [/quote

It's a pity some drivers still don't understand the insecurity in this state and country. I drive into hotels, estates, office complexes etc if i feel safe but residential is a no no, expecially if i can see the roof of the building that its not far from gate, its ok to politely ask why u want me to drive in and am sure sensible rider will tell u if na cos of luggage, in all you must protect yasef o na d koko be that.

But we can all agree Bolts app is crappy. From paused fare rate to driver did not respond when you actually did down to outright error. In all this your rating keeps dropping for in app faults. Again no cancellation fee ( you get to pickup point and rider doesn't show up and doesn't pick your call and after like 10-15 you dicide to cancel and continue your hustle all for free huh )
and after reading all this accrued to Taxify app am wondering if i really need that app again, i will rada be managing Uber in peace than Taxify that their riders will add more fire to injury. But on second thought i dey use side eye they see money wey guys dey make on Taxify compared to Uber and am like

Thanks for your advice Bro.. firstly I will transport myself , secondly Saturday's will be included if not Sunday at times , you know all this private OGA them ..Thirdly having time for myself and family might not be guaranteed.. With E-hailing these may or won't happen , I am hardworking and used to leaving the house before 4:30 am to 5am most times to work , so imagine channelling that effort to E-hailing , How do u see it ? .. I have been following my Ogas here and I must say I don't see anything difficult unless little supervision or location strategies to be effective ... So my Ogas, My main question is can I make that #60k mininmal for myself hustling on E hailing? Thanks
First, which type of car do u want to carry for 27k weekly, if its corolla then u can go ahead or any car it is make sure its in very good state then u will enjoy d work, u will enjoy more freedom no doubt cos u will work as u want but 27k plus fuel of minimum 3k per day x7days = 21k, plus saving 20k for urself weekly and about 7k miscellaneous means you must hit 75k as total weekly target minimum. So there you go, if and only if you can work to that analysis and watch out for family and personal excesses then u can save 80k per month. So how prudent are you cos daily money can be tempting and can spend all what you are surposed to save daily and at the end of the month you will see little or no savings so the ball is in your court.
