Buy a palm wine and put pear leaves on it and personally deliver to her father's compound.

There's no coming back from it
Please, what is the significance of this?

You had a traditional marriage and didn't her pay bride price and you are still assuming you were traditionally married? Your story don't add up!

By igbo culture you were merely co-habiting, if you has paid her bride price, all you need to do is go with some of your relatives to see her family for the refund of the bride price and that ends the marriage.

You were never married to her traditionally thus no refund, with the marriage certificate issued by the Church you wedded in, your lawyer can take it up from there.
You were never married to her traditionally thus no refund, with the marriage certificate issued by the Church you wedded in, your lawyer can take it up from there. My brother, she was handed over to my father. They asked him both during TM and church wedding if I settled everything which he affirmed. I settled most of the items in the list but I didn't pay the BRIDE PRICE. Why I brought this here is to know if it is necessary I go to her place to inform them that their daughter is no longer with me or I should just face my front. I don't want a situation I will be called later regarding her whereabout.

*Politeness*[/quote You were the one shouting FAKE! FAKE!!
What do you really want? I gave you proof, and you are bitching about it. Do you know me or is it only one person that answers Paulinehuh? Anyone who knows me obviously knows about our story even on this forum. Do you know for how long I have been vilified? She should also start answering questions. By the way, her family have seen worse messages than these. Let me not blow up this forum if you continue to push me.

And you put it right there for the world to see, including her relatives.
You see why your story can easily be spotted as fake?

*Politeness*
What is your problem? Is your sister's name Pauline?

You obviously want the story to be fake. You can't just believe that people can be so useless and stupid.

My brother, stories like this, if true, invariably start thus: "My wife and I have been married for 13 years. We have four children together, two boys and two girls..."
Your wife's name is Pauline?

Yes ooo. PAULINE!!!
FamilyRe: What Are Igbo Customs On Divorce? by vicoson(op): 5:35am On Dec 06, 2023

That's what marks it a cooked-up story. No one would tell that story without mentioning the children and their welfare and how that fits into the whole scenario

Are you Igbo? You are looking for proof. Please explain this.

Not cooked up bro. I jhave 4 kids - two boys and two girls all with her. She dated my boss, so I left her and the children with him.

You said nothing about children?
I've read on here so many times and told by Igbo friends that Igbo custom is, once they return the bride price. If they want the marriage to continue they simply will refuse to return bride price. Igbos in the house, am I right? Where art thou??
Funny enough, I did not pay the bride price at the time of TM. I refused to even pay again due to her waywardness. The father keeps reminding me whenever there is an issue. I just ignore him.
FamilyWhat Are Igbo Customs On Divorce? by vicoson(op): 4:27am On Dec 06, 2023
I have been married to an Igbo lady for 13 years. She is from Imo state. Her character is appalling. I have reported her several times to her family but they keep defending her. Some time in 2021, I intercepted an email correspondence between her and a pornography company demanding payment for a sample she performed. I confronted her immediately and she told me that someone introduced her into it but she gets someone else to perform those samples while she pays the person. I did not ask further questions. I just forwarded the messages to my inbox. The next moment, she wiped her phone clean and said nothing till we separated about 6 months later.

The problem now is that, after alerting her people for a peaceful dissolution of the marriage, it took them almost two weeks to inform me that I should seek a legal means of obtaining a divorce as Igbo customs and tradition forbids it. Please house, advise. We did not register the marriage in any court but wedded in a church after traditional marriage.

Paid and payed means the same thing and they are both the past tense of pay. Just that "payed" is scarcely used while paid is most commonly used.
They literary mean the same thing.
anyone with differing views can quote and explain. Learning never ends you know
Not exactly sir. They aare both past tense and past participle of "PAY" but used in a different senses. Paid is used when it has to do with giving out money while payed is used by sailors to refer to releasing a rope or sealing a deck. A subtle distinction, but there may be rare instances where "payed" could be used in a financial sense, but only where it is specifically intended to be a metaphorical reference to the nautical sense.

Bamidey:
I'm a strong supporter of Buhari but lets keep partisan politics aside.
What's really is the meaning of integrity? If baba fails to gather enough vote to keep him steady on the NEXT LEVEL journey, just know that his own weakness and lack of self decision making cost him.
Who is in his right sense of reasoning will endorse GANDUJE? Baba fuuccked up at Kano. Y'all APC supporters be outchea shouting without searching and seeking for the fact. Kano people are, if not, one of the most honest souls in the north, quote me anywhere. Thousands of them, especially the elites where waiting for his decision on GANDUJE and he cuffed.
You don't claim integrity and be doing different thing. I lost three good Muslim friends of mine on the basis that I'm supporting Buhari {they were staunch supporters like me, now them don port}
Look at the insult of the millennium melted out on him at Ogun state, just because he couldn't deal with the party weevil, Amosun.
I think Abba Kyari and co sh man do his job. Buhari is just surrounded by nepotist and lawlessness devils in form of humans and he's taking blames for things that are not of his doing.
We the real Buhari supporters {not the ones e-shouting upandan here but won't come out to vote} needs to face the truth, an imminent defeat is gathering with calm and coordinated force. May Allah help us.

God bless MUHAMMADU BUHARI
God bless NIGERIA.
Go out and vote, its your right.
Don't sell your vote.
I read sometime ago on this forum that Atiku is the only one with the financial muscle to wrestle power from APC. A known thief, all of a sudden, is now our saviour! But what did he contribute as a VP apart from trying to outloot his principal? What has changed in him? Why would he spend such amount to be elected? What does he stand to gain? Is it for an undying love for the country he once looted or for redemption?
Ganduje was caught. They are all into the same practice. Politics is a game! PMB is not stupid. Nigeria has not evolved like her counterpart. No values! People only care about their stomach. ...ask Jesus Christ.
PoliticsRe: Rigging: Obasanjo Also Guilty Of His Accusations Against Buhari – Balarabe Musa by vicoson(m): 2:47am On Jan 23, 2019
PMB does not have any intention of rigging the election and would never do that. But he is not stupid either. His only crime is that he surrounds himself with people he trusts and I can't blame him seeing the way PDP are planting moles everywhere to undermine his administration. Come to think of it, going by popular choice, PDP do not stand any chance. Their only hope is by rigging as usual. PMB has effectively nullified those plans.

This is not rocket science...collect the 2 billion, empower your constituency (or your tommy), grab the deputy governor seat and empower your constituency the more for another 4 to 8 years. Ofcourse, Udom will have to pay you the 2 billion at the expense of the people you were meant to serve. Fools!

That video is doctored. Two pages for transmission only, the man helping him just suddenly appeared whilst he's been struggling with transmission. They couldn't even choose words that Hausas struggle to pronounce but transmission. I can't even see his lips. How am I even sure the voice and the lips are in sync.

And you know for a fact that the man was assisting him. My question is how come every other sitebthat propagate this news only quote liberty whatever as the source? Where they the only media outlet at the function? Could it be that the speech was impeccable that's why nobody cared about making issue out of it and that useless site is only looking for traffic? Yet y'all act as if everything is cool.

If you got money pull it out
If u want to pledge, rethink about it.
Look at this confused fool. Who will pay him? You are advising him to pull out his money meanwhile nobody should PH? Na waooo. Now we know your real intention but you have failed. Try harder.
InvestmentRe: Get Help Worldwide Is In Its Last Days. Beware!!! by vicoson(m): 4:52pm On Mar 06, 2017
I don't blame those who panicked and refused to redeem their pledges. Once beaten twice shy. What they failed to understand is that a system with GHW model cannot crash in that manner. It will take givers forum part 2 to crash GHW. If not for anything, you can't panic and withdraw everything! You have to wait for your maturity date. No guiders withdrawing large sums and PHing so little. If you want a referral bonus, PH 150% of it. You do not recommit and your account is blocked, you remain suspended for one month and your new donation will have a maturity rate of 60 days! It beats my imagination that people can believe there is impending crash with all these measures in place. Before you consider defaulting in your pledge, think about the consequences except you no longer want to participate. Matching time is irrelevant- you wait for 30 days to receive 30% and suddenly the system is starved of funds? Please let's ignore charlatants and move forward. GHW all the way!!!
InvestmentRe: Get Help Worldwide Is In Its Last Days. Beware!!! by vicoson(m): 2:30am On Mar 04, 2017
God bless the OP for this wonderful opportunity to advertise GHW on nairaland. I participated in MMM united. Matching was usually within 48 hours even with 100% ROI in thirty days. There was no need to PH twice because you already knew it will be picked, but yet the system was growing stronger and matching time increased to 96hrs even with the 100%! GHW only pays 30% in 30 days. Not much, but sustainability is the key. GHW is well designed, we participants are the issue. Those that are always trying to be too smart can leave. Please cancel your fake pledges before you leave. I have also noticed that these pledges are mostly by the up liners whose sole interest is on referral bonuses. Take control of your PO and participate with ease. Participate only with SPARE MONEY!!! GHW will always be there for you, don't be in a hurry.

InvestmentRe: Givers Forum Has Finally Crashed by vicoson(m): 12:08pm On Dec 29, 2016
The risk in givers forum is so high. You can get lucky at times but it's a real gamble. My cousin did PH of #20k. He was matched to pay #8k and the balance was never created for him to pay. On another occasion, I payed and waited for confirmation. Before I knew it, the orders were switched, and fresh orders were created for me to pay. I wrote to support and to the e - mail address the provided for matching issues specifically. Up till today, three weeks after yet no response. They are just incompetent. The worst platform I have seen. Always preaching long epistles no substance. Nonsense!

Though its early to judge the present administration harshly but they're almost a year in office, so time is ticking.
I think APC's only offence was ousting the PDP. It's more like "you said you could fix it, fix it". Has any one thought of the circumstances they've found themselves? Have you asked your self what would have been our fate if PDP had continue their looting spree with the dwindling incomes?
