@ ElDeeVee I can't find the PM you sent........For free IELTS materials you can download it from the link below; www.ieltsbuddy.com |
I applied to University of Bonn too. They didn't ask me to convert my grades to ECTS. They didn't even require the IELTS score I sent to them. I sent it to improve my chances of securing admission. The only school so far that asked me to convert my grades to ECTS is Uni of Jena. You can go to the Federal Ministry of Education to get the letter if you wish though it's expensive or go to your schools registrar to issue you a letter of proof of English at no cost. |
I think Uni-assist is making a mistake here. Let them know that your highest passing grade is 5.0 while your lowest passing grade is 1.0 and not 2.0. Going by the right calculation your CGPA conversion to German grade is 2.45 and not the 2.9 that Uni-assist calculated. You can use these link to calculate it your self and explain things to them. Your problem might be lack of detailed explanation. http://onlinemacha.com/german-grade-calculator |
Ladylaura: What course did you study in your first degree? Apply to universities in former East Germany. And you have to send a lot of applications to many schools because of your low CGPA and make sure your motivation letter is sound. |
University of Bonn is one of the schools I applied. I have received an acknowledgement of receipt of my application documents. The universities admission committee will make their final decision next month (June)ending. |
If you reside in Ejigbo Isolo area, I think Goethe institute is still the best place to learn German language. At Goethe they have Morning, Afternoon and Evening session. There are other private German language centres where you can learn the language but it's expensive compared to Goethe where you will have access to all the facilities you'll need. There are other private German language centres at Igando, Ikeja etc. But Goethe Institute remains the best. |
Yes it's acknowledgement of receipt of posted documents via regular mail. Tubingen deadline is 15th May while Gottingen deadline is 30th May. |
I also applied to Tubingen and Gottingen. I've not received any acknowledgement yet. |
Certification of documents at the German Consulate is absolutely free as at today. All you need is the following. 1.Print-out your application form of the schools you are applying to. 2. Potocopies of all your documents/certificates. 3. Photocopy of your international passport. 4. Original certificates. 5. International passport itself. |
Those who want to register for IELTS should note that there is no more space for February and early March. The current available spaces are for 21st and 28th March. 14th of March is already filled up. A CGPA of 2.9 on 5.0 scare is 2.5 in German scale. And that is the minimum requirement for Universities in Germany. So, if you have a CGPA of 2.9 on Nigerian scale you can get an admission for MBA, MSc/MA in German Universities. |
