Travel / The French Embassy In Nigeria Must Be Useless by vikiviko(m): 11:14am On Jun 21, 2008
It is annoying that one stupid and ignorant person at the Embassy with probably a Secondary School Certificate was the one that attended to me and turned me down - Wale A.
I am very angry right now.

What are the roles of the foreign embassies in Nigeria? Why do the semi-literates in these embassies deny Nigerian professionals and others the basic right to acquire entry visas that will allow them visit many countries in Europe and other places?

A recent case at the French Embassy in Nigeria is still causing a source of agitation in my mind and here I will narrate the story. Wale has worked as a professional banker for more than 15 years. In these 15 years or more, he has travelled to all the continents on planet earth. First he worked in Lagos on Marina Street with Nigerian’s foremost merchant bank.

About 5 years ago like many of his contemporaries Wale relocated to Abuja and took up another job but still in the banking industry. This year alone, Wale has travelled to the United States on a number of occasions. He has also been to the United Kingdom, Dubai and Malaysia. Wale has travelled the entire length and breadth of Nigeria and Africa. As I write this article, he is on his way to Asaba, then to Onitsha and then Aba.

This has been the nature of Wale’s job for over a decade-travelling and meeting with clients and seeking the prosperity of Nigeria. When he leaves Aba at the end of this week, he would be on his way to Switzerland but this time for the purpose of education to advance his professional life and this is where the crux of my anger with the French Embassy in Nigeria sets in.

Wale will attend a professional course in Switzerland for 3 weeks starting June 16. At the end of the course, the school is offering a school trip to Paris by bus. Wale would definitely like to be part of the trip after which he would also like to take a flight to Sweden where his younger brother lives.

Switzerland is not a member of the EU and she is also not a Schengen state. Hence, Wale turned to the French Embassy for a schengen visa since all schengen countries offer that. Unfortunately, Wale was denied a schengen visa by the French. It was only at the interview that they told him to present a hotel booking in Paris.

Wale explained to them at the embassy that he was not going to stay in Paris, that his destination is Sweden. But anyway if they wanted a booking for a hotel in Paris, this would have been easily done by Wale or his brother in Sweden. Wale spent a great deal of time explaining the entire situation to the nonentities at the French embassy, but they were hell-bent on denying him the visa. If he was to present the hotel booking in Paris, he cannot do that until another 15 days at which time the course would have started in Geneva. The embassies have a silly rule that keeps a failed applicant away for minimum 15 days.

How can a man who is going to Geneva be denied a schengen visa to Paris? It is totally despicable and nonsensical. It is absolute rubbish! Wale has been to Sweden before in 2005. Then he was on a business trip to Brussels and he had a Schengen visa so it was easy to take a flight to Sweden. He stayed for only 5 days and went back to Nigeria.

I don’t know how many Nigerian passports Wale has used in the last 15 years but it must be quite a number. Why didn’t the half-educated people at the French embassy have a thorough look at the visas and stamps on these passports? I am very mad right now as I imagine the trauma that they put Wale through.

He was really upset at this development and he regretted that he didn’t turn to the Swedish Embassy in the first place. I mean what difference does it make? A man is going to Paris and would like to touch Sweden before he returns to work in Abuja. He presented his ticket to those fools but that didn’t matter. How could he have known that the people working at the French embassy in Nigeria have no initiatives of their own? That they are completely stereotyped dummies.

Wale is just one of the several legitimate cases of Nigerians who have been denied the right to travel out of Nigeria to pursue one thing or the other. A number of students have been traumatized because they cannot obtain visa to further their education abroad. Many legitimate Nigerian tourists are locked down there without right to get back their application fees or to even re-apply. In a way, the foreign embassies in Nigeria have continued to rip millions of naira from Nigeria every year.

If the embassy is in doubt of an application, what does it take them to crosscheck with the destination of the applicant? In Wale’s case, what is the doubt about? He has a visa to Switzerland and I am pretty sure he still has valid entry visas to the US and UK? What is their problem? They should give me one reason why Wale will stay in Paris if he was given a Schengen visa.

I am actually using this medium to call the French Embassy to order. If this is what they do to legitimate travelers, then they should pack out of Nigeria forthwith. Nonsense! If there are more embassies like the French Embassy, then the Federal Government should wake up and have a chat with them. They cannot continue to threat Nigerians with contempt in Nigeria? We don’t do similar things to them when they apply to visit our country. That is unacceptable and this is the message Wale wanted me to get across to the Nigerian Government.

Politics / Bashorun Mko Abiola Writes Nigerians With Compassion! by vikiviko(m): 1:49pm On Jun 19, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fellow Nigerians, sincere salutations to you all!

It has given me great delight to pen down these lines from heaven whose streets, I hasten to confirm, are paved with gold. Heaven is indeed, as is written in the Bible, a place of unrivaled wonder where there's celestial orderliness and peace and quiet. There's no want, sorrow or gnashing of teeth here as is the case in hell. I'm much happier here -- even when there are no billionaires as everyone is equal and enjoys abundance and life eternal.

Fellow compatriots, I write you all with compassion given the deepening socio-economic and political crisis post-June 12. My spirit was lifted penultimate week as the 15th anniversary of my sacred mandate was celebrated across the land. A day before June 12 Baba Lamidi Adedibu's soul was sighted in hell where Gen. Sani Abacha continues to endure torture and fire for a decade long!

Now that I've been vindicated officially, having been declared belatedly the winner of the June 12 electoral phenomenon I put everyone on notice that I intend to invade the Nigerian space soon with the majestic logistical support of celestial indomitable army led by Angel Michael to reclaim my sacred mandate! Meanwhile tell Prof. Humphrey Nwosu to go to hell and tell his June 12 story to the marine. I'm in the know of those who sponsored his book and know the objective intended -- to score a cheap political point. How could only the dead men (Gen. Abacha and Clement Akpamgbo) had connived to annul my victory while the living, the chief culprit gets a clean bill of health? So Akpamgbo and Abacha were no longer working under Ibrahim Babangida then as military President?

I decided, despite my riches, to sacrifice my life for the mandate millions of you gave me because I believed in what June 12 stood for and still stands for. I sacrificed my life for the struggle because I knew I was in the right. History continues to bear me witness throwing up in the process, fifteen years on, the heroes and villains of that particular epochal electoral event.

Since I left you people a decade ago very little has changed. What has progressed dramatically is the swelling number of crooks in and around power and the state kleptocracy and official mendacity. Obasanjo used eight years in Aso Villa to create minority millionaires and billionaires leaving a vast majority as destitutes, criminals and indigents. His regime must be probed further!

Someone should tell IBB that the devil has already prepared a place for him in his dark abode. Mr Lucifer and his dark angels are impatiently waiting for him to come over. There in hell there is no room for Maradonic schemings!

Please gentlemen and ladies, fellow great Nigerians, tell President Umaru Yar'Adua that his elder brother Shehu is here with us smoking his choice cigarettes and having fun and enjoying my rib-cracking jokes. Abacha killed him in prison by food poisoning. Tell your President that the Almighty One, a truly jealous God, is not happy with him for the stolen mandate and power he wields. Obasanjo perfidiously rigged the April 2007 presidential poll in his favour for him (Yar'Adua) to protect his 8-year presidential debauchery. Tell Yar'Adua that in the eyes of the Creator he's seen as a fairly good man but his wife seeks protection from other smaller gods. This's intolerable from this end. Turai Yar'Adua must renounce her nocturnal contracts with marabouts to be able to enjoy the divine favour.

I urge you all, believers in democracy, believers in my sacred mandate, not to lose hope yet. There's light at the end of the tunnel. Hope for a better life for our people whose welfare is long neglected, hope for a better Nigeria is within grips. Grab it now without fear, without compromise!

Fellow Nigerians, please intensify your prayers; muslims and christians alike, pray harder for there's an entrenched satanic forces still holding the total liberation of the masses down. These evil forces in human form caused and still cause calamities like pipeline explosions, fire outbreaks, building collapses, road mishaps and political assassinations. Therefore pray, my good people, pray for the day of true freedom is nigh! Pray for God is still very much in absolute control. Pray without ceasing in this season of rain with its attendant floodings and destructions. Pray, for good tidings are destined to be your lot soon.

As a notorious womaniser and polygamist I did know before my unplanned departure from the land of the living that my family would have problems with my will and estate. I hereby instruct the London managers of my estate to discontinue the DNA test initiative and take in every child that claims he or she has MKO blood in his or her biological system. The assassination of my favorite wife Kudirat caused it all for if she was still alive while I was gone she would have managed the big happy family well. Kola, my first son, only takes after me in womanising, and socialising but the enterpreneurial sagacity in me remains unique. My business empire is in ruins but I'm proud of Concord products like Bayo Onanuga and Mike Awoyinfa.

When I was with you all in flesh and blood I, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, took exceptions to the Yorubas been labelled as a bunch of cowards. But now I'm in a good position to confirm this notion after my June 12 harrowing experience. Yes my Yoruba people are cowards who believe in empty grandstanding and rabble-rousing. We have brave men and women amongst us but a whole majority are on this fear side and could be found wanting in moments of critical character definition.

The Aremu of Ota had declared subtly that I was not the messiah Nigerians were waiting for. Of course I never told anyone that I was ever one! But suffice to add that after eight years of presidential fraud and rigmarole Obasanjo has exposed himself further as the enemy of Nigeria's progress and a glorified over-rated executive crook.

Need I say more my people? Whereas during my lifetime I was appreciated as the Pillar of Sports in Africa Obasanjo is known today as the Suharto of Africa! At the risk of sounding immodest, something I detest, let me declare nevertheless that the dirt in my fingernail remains infinitely greater than the entirety of Olusegun Obasanjo.

Let me, at this crucial juncture, corroborate what the detained Hamza Al-Mustapha, my tormentor, late Gen. Abacha's Chief Security Officer, said about the mysterious circumstances sorrounding my untimely death in the military gulag: I was cruelly beaten to death! Yes I can confirm that! Instead of releasing me after Gen. Abacha had eaten his last apple Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar, heeding the call of his northern oppresive brothers, ordered that I be beaten to death to even scores. So my people treat Gen. Abubakar from now on as a murderer! Angered that I had survived Abacha's madness the northern oligarchy re-strategised and reached for a tit-for-tat, that is putting me away permanently lest I reclaimed my stolen mandate and operated the blueprint containing the politico-economic revolution I had planned.

My people, the ubiquitous misery in the blessed land of abundance still pains me. From this beautiful end, the indescribable paradise, I shall continue to intervene spiritually to ensure that soon, you, beloved Nigerians, shall overcome. Because of this widespread misery a lot of bad things alien to our culture are happening in Nigeria right now: child kidnappings, selling of babies, sex slavery, sophisticated prostitution, money-making rituals. All these point to the moral depravity and consequencies of unchecked poverty spreading in our growing urban population. There's thus need for some moral and spiritual re-newal.

I appeal to your collective sense of patriotism, social solidarity and national unity. Love one another irrespective of tribe and tongue. May the peace of the Lord, the celestial dictator of the Kingdom of Heaven and there on earth, be with you all. Bless you all, peace and love!

Politics / 30 Years After – The National Anthem! by vikiviko(m): 2:29pm On Jun 17, 2008
Do you know that the year 2008 is symbolically relevant to the Nigerian national anthem? This is exactly 30 years that famous and inspiring anthem has been sung from the mouths of the wise and suckling. And have you ever critically analysed the lyrical contents? This is your opportunity to do so now.

"Arise, O Compatriots"

Arise, O compatriots,

Nigeria's call obey.

To serve our Fatherland

With love and strength and faith.

The labour of our heroes past

Shall never be in vain,

To serve with heart and might

One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

O God of creation,

Direct our noble cause;

Guide our leaders right:

Help our youth the truth to know,

In love and honesty to grow,

And living just and true,

Great lofty heights attain,

To build a nation where peace and justice reign.

The Nigeria national anthem, “Arise, O compatriots” was adopted in 1978, thirty years ago, in preference to “Nigeria We Hail Thee” which was formerly used as the national anthem between 1960 to 1978. The uniqueness of this anthem especially to me is the fact that 1978 was during the period famously known in Nigeria as the oil boom, which was when one could proudly say I am a Nigerian. Uniquely the lyrics of the current national anthem were taken from five best entrants of in a national contest. The lyrics as written by John A. Ilechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, B.A. Ogunaike, Sotu Omoigui, and P.O Aderibighe were put together to form the national anthem, a mark of unity in diversity.

Do you know that there is no smoke without fire? When the national anthem came out, I want to believe that our country had not degenerated to what it is today. But the people who put the anthem together can be said to have the Wisdom of Solomon and eyes like the eagles. They saw into the future. The second stanza aptly says a prayer, in the midst of foreseen calamity, to the God of creation to direct the noble cause of the nation Nigeria and guide our leaders. The ills are not only perpetrated but leaders as they have successfully introduced innocent and unassuming youths into their evil deeds. So we pray that God should help these innocent youths that have been brainwashed to know the truth, and to grow in love and honesty which our leaders lack. This will enable them to live justly and in the truth; they will attain great and lofty heights to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign. Could that be the reason why it has always been sung that Nigerian youths are the leaders of tomorrow? I bet most of us need to take time and meditate on the lyrics of the Nigeria national anthem. Then we won’t need anyone to tell us what is right or wrong.

Every leader of this great nation should be made to assimilate the message behind this anthem before thinking of leading the Nigerian citizens. He who assimilates it and fails to uphold its unique message stands condemned by himself.

Dear Maryam and Children,

How is everyone? I apologize for not writing you sooner. I must indicate that what actually prodded me to write was the recent 10th Anniversary prayers you held for me at the anniversary of my unannounced departure from earth. Maryam, I apologize. I know I have a lot to apologize for: over enhancing the family name by stealing, the Indian prostitutes, and even the unannounced departure! It is not my fault; it is NADECO’s handiwork!

Thanks but no thanks for hosting the 10th Anniversary events in our home, and please do not do it again. Your prayers only called the attention of the devil to make this fire twenty times hotter than it used to be. The devil is truly scared that your prayers will set me free from this Hades, and he has decided to destroy me instead with his fire. Problem is that, I am still here. I had tried everything in the book, the devaluation of the dollar I came here with has since made my offer to the agents of Lucifer unattractive! Kai, George Bush! Even the promise of oil lifting contract will not do! You can’t believe it, but even the devil is afraid of being kidnapped by those horrible MEND boys!

Please skip the prayer next time, and use the money I asked Ahmed to keep in the Luxemburg account to travel instead. See the world, visit Kenya in fact! I heard the older white women do escape there to get their thing on. Please, do not hesitate. Okay, may be not. I understand you don’t have passports; but at least Calabar and Yenagoa will roll out the carpets for you. I even hear the Ekiti state illegitimate governor is a fan of mine. You never know, you might be welcome to sleep over in the government house at Ado Ekiti.

A lot has happened in the ten years since I left you. I understand that at least you and the kids are well taken care of by my military brothers like Abdusalami, Buhari, and IBB. I hope they can do their best before they eventually join me here. I also understand even Obasanjo, that ingrate who hunted you folks down for no good reason, since gave me a posthumous military honors and allowed our son to keep his loot. That is great. It is the best of military tradition you know – es spirit de corps! Obasanjo might not know it, but we are soul brothers. I mean think of it; for every Odi there is an Ogoni; for every Zaku Biam there is a Tiv land invasion. Obasanjo! Rumor even has it that he is Kanuri like me. I hope one day, we can sit down and talk about the good times like when I held him in my guest house for five years free of charge and exited the seat of power so only he could rule again! We will also share the bad times of course; when he decided to join that idiot called Y’aradua in his fool hardy! Can you imagine? Coup plotters!

I know things have been very hard on you but I am sure you will manage. How have you been holding up with those kids? All nine of them! I understand some of our daughters are married now. It is a good thing, and I apologize for missing these events. Hopefully, when we reunite here, we can have a proper family reunion in the center of it all- where thieves, rogues and their defenders burn like Fela’s rizzla. Speaking of Fela, I had been led to believe that he was going to be in this place with me. In fact, I must confess that this thought made me persist in my ways thinking my actions were of no consequence! Heck, with Fela’s melody, hell fire was going to be a cakewalk! But I was wrong. When I inquired of Fela from Lucifer’s agents, they told me he was a VIP hence was given the benefit to set up his own hell fire. All been said and done, Fela opted to use his weed as his fuel and he is currently so high he is probably the only one on this side that can stick here longer with no qualms. Power pass power and even the devil cannot dare Baba 70!

It has been ten years now! Walahi, I tell you those Indian girls don’t have anything on you. If any mammal needs the proof, I mean they can look at the beautiful kids we sired, and the way they are taking adeptly after their father. I mean, no DNA test is even needed! Kachinako! The same cannot be said about that guy called MKO Abiola or whatever they called him. Look at The Great Prophet, he killed and stole as much as his father, if not greater. Then you have this Abdusalami guy going about destroying my reputation and name. How dare he say that I, the king of kleptomaniacs, do not deserve the world championship for stealing? Abubakar is such a disgrace, I think he should be exiled to Otta. After all, I was going to retire that slowpoke the following weekend just about when those Indian girls decided to play mago-mago with me using their ripe apples.

Well, Maryam- I am running out of time here. Time is of essence on this side of eternity. The agent of the devil might not be too happy with this luxury of mine considering how your hell raising of a prayer have stirred the hornets nest. Well, kindly ensure you move the last money I kept with that dictator in Niger Republic to a private account farther away for our kids’ future use. I am thinking this money will come in handy to buy them a place in the future of Nigeria. Ours is a country that forgets anyway. Money and fame can buy anything in Nigeria! I mean, if people can actually say I didn’t steal- anything can happen in Nigeria! Take care Maryam, and stay away from the pool boys and Baba Iyabo. I understand that Hot ex-head of state, sorry president, will lay his hands on anything: even my wife! As for Usman, tell him to keep it steady – even the devil is taking note as to the number of extra time he is spending creating a record.

I hope to see you very, very, very soon. Insha God. Happy June 12th! In Advance of course!

Signed:

General Sani Abacha (Rtd.)

Grand Commander of Kleptomaniacs

NB: Pa Adedibu just arrived. It just got a tad bit hotter in here! Kai mallam!

Politics / Strategies For Actualising Biafra : by vikiviko(m): 10:24am On Jun 06, 2008
Kosovo’s recent independence signals a major, somewhat revolutionary rift in the international geo-politics of self determination and the right of independence for ethnic nations. It has made the grounds for self determination clearer, and set an unassailable precedent that many groups seeking self determination are bound to profit from in the near future. It has also crucially in very clear terms vindicated the Biafran struggle then and now for a separate existence from Nigeria.

Kosovo was granted independence on the logic that hence the government and people of Serbia had carried out acts of ethnic cleansing against the Kosovo people; they automatically lost the right to co-exist in the same nation with the Kosovars. It is noteworthy that less than 10,000 people died in the actual act of ethnic cleansing, yet the international community deemed it sufficient to back Kosovo’s independence. In the case of Biafra over 30,000 ordinary civilians were massacred in cold blood by Northern leaders in 1966. Thousands continue to be killed to date in frequent premeditated acts of ethnic cleansing in Northern Nigeria. Thus, the logic for Kosovo’s independence also validates the logic for Biafra ’s independence.

In the 60’s when Biafra made its first muscular dash for self determination in the aftermath of the pogroms, the geo-politics of the world was different, which more than anything else contributed in halting the Biafran dream. But change is permanent, and as the Kosovo saga indicates, the world has evolved significantly into a greater appreciation of genocide and acts of ethnic cleansing to the extent of granting self determination on that premise. Biafrans, the Niger-Delta, Oduduwa and other separatist groups must now take advantage of these changes to unshackle themselves from Nigeria.

The logic for Nigeria ’s disintegration is indisputable. In the face of Nigeria ’s continuing progressive decline in all facets after 9 years of an unprecedented oil boom, it is ideally time every Nigerian realised that the contradictions of her very existence has made the nation unworkable. Where other less endowed nations have succeeded, the inherent contradictions have made it impossible for Nigeria to succeed. Thus in spite of overwhelming human and material resources Nigeria is trapped in monumental poverty and deprivation.

In line with the precedent set most recently in Kosovo, the repeated acts of ethnic cleansing sponsored by political and religious leaders in Northern Nigeria has already made the case for Biafra. The most important task ahead for the Igbo nation, is how to sensitive and pressure the international community into negotiating a plebiscite or referendum for an independent Igbo nation. In the aftermath of the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States , the geo-politics of the world has changed so much as to make this easier. Kosovo has also set a critical precedent in the criteria that qualifies indigenous peoples to legitimately seek independence. The Igbo nation must begin to take advantage of this new world order and opportunities to effect a final separation from Nigeria . The strategic interests of the Western world would favour a Christian nation that guarantees security and a free unfettered flow of hydro carbon.

The methods which need to be adopted have been on display in recent times in places like Tibet . The Igbo have been too passive in their struggle for emancipation from Nigeria . For a people who famously resisted the more formidable British colonialists, and began the daunting struggle for independence, signalled most notably by the famed Aba women’s riot of 1929, defeating the bunch of despots who parade as leaders of Nigeria’s Apartheid state in the final push for liberation from internal colonialism shouldn’t be a problem. What needs to be done as outlined below is easy and quite practicable.

(1)The Israeli’s have achieved most of their strategic political ends through Jewish Diaspora lobby and advocacy groups like the world Jewish council and other affiliated Jewish groups. The presence of a large Igbo Diaspora constitutes a potential, strategic international political force and pressure group which the Igbo nation is yet to exploit.

Just recently the Tibetans mobilized their Diaspora citizens in non-violent protests that put the Chinese government under massive international pressure and forced them into accepting negotiations for political autonomy with the Dalai Lama. Igbo organisations like the World Igbo congress and others should begin to forcefully assert themselves on the Issue of self determination. Advocacy groups from such organisations around the world should begin to make their case for self determination premised on the Apartheid system in Nigeria and the continuing incidents of pre-meditated ethnic cleansing in Northern Nigeria . Organisations like the European Union, the United Nations, the World Council of Churches, the Catholic Church, the American Congress, the Israeli government and parliament etc should be contacted with a detailed history of a long list of endless unpunished acts of ethnic cleansing in Nigeria . These efforts would sensitive the international community and strengthen the case for self determination.

(2) Jewish groups have the most powerful lobby in the United States of America . Igbo organisations should exploit the ancestral links with the Jews to align with them in order to benefit from their well oiled lobby machine in the quest for self determination.

(3) Civil-disobedience, mass rallies and protests should increasingly be employed in Nigeria to draw attention of the international community to the plight of the East. Considerations should be given to periodically organising a peaceful and symbolic two million man march in Enugu . Diaspora groups can also organise placard carrying sensitisation rallies in front of the American congress, the European Union assembly etc. Visiting Nigerian government officials, attending functions can also be targeted by rallies and protests.

(4) The joint assemblies of the East can meet and surrender their Sovereignty to the British or Americans for 25 years at the minimum. This negotiated arrangement would be similar to the type the British had in Hong Kong were they administered the region for an agreed number of years. This option would grant us accelerated developments and a better standard of living. Some would call this a return to colonialism, but experience has shown that colonialism has proven to be much better than the penury and chaos in post-colonial Nigeria. Hong Kong is one of the best organized cities courtesy of a negotiated British administration.

(5) Guerrilla conflict though undesirable could become a last resort in the struggle for self determination. Nigeria has long been approaching this “bloody road to Baghdad ” by the refusal of her leaders to allow self determination and or equitably restructure the nation to allow ethnic groups develop at their own pace. As the saying goes, “those who refuse peaceful change will inevitably invite violent change.” A little bit of this scenario is already playing out in the Niger-Delta. The very nature of guerrilla conflicts makes it un-winnable. The large and strategic Igbo Diaspora can significantly fund and sustain such a conflict through a “consolidated Igbo Diaspora fund” to be opened for that purpose. While we wish and hope to avoid conflict, it will certainly become an option for hardened extremist elements as the Apartheid Nigerian regime endures and as issues remain unresolved.

In conclusion, we must remember that no price is too much to pay for freedom. Those who are martyred in their struggle for freedom would meet with God in paradise. There is no greater virtue of good and righteousness than to give your life so that others can be free. After the struggle for independence from the colonial masters, the most important struggle of our generation is the struggle for independence from internal colonialism. No man or group has the right to decide the destiny of another ethnic nation. The choice between freedom and slavery is a clear choice. A nation in which you can be killed in the North for a cartoon published in Denmark is definitely not your nation. A nation in which the rulers are purveyors of hatred and division is not your nation. A nation in which the rulers arrest your political and economic development is not your nation. We must reject such a nation and march on to freedom. Those who have ears let them hear.

You must be careful with these double bank statement you intend using.
My advise even if you would use your Uncle's low bank statement, you need not state his inabililities to fund.so as to provide the basis for a second bank statement.
I not have made these clarifications to you.

Youth-led development (YLD) gives young people a role
in the struggle to make poverty history. The 2008 World
Youth Congress (WYC) will assess progress with YLD
since delegates coined the phrase at the first WYC in
1999. In reviewing YLD projects worldwide, delegates will
try to answer the question: “What is the most effective
role that youth can play in development?”

The 4th World Youth Congress will welcome 600 young activists from around 120 countries who are committed to rise to the generational
challenge of sustainable development. A majority will exhibit their Youth-Led Development (YLD) projects. Others will report on them – writing a book celebrating YLD achievements. All will take part in
discussions with development professionals and in a global
festival to celebrate International Youth Day, August 12th.
