You want better power....you pay for it.

In the UK, a person living in a single room and parlour can pay N14000 monthly. In Nigeria, that same person on estimated billing can pay N6000 per month. (N4000 or less on a meter).

And we expect light 24/7

On a good day, we generate about 11000mw...on a good day...because most of the time, regardless of what Fashola says, we are at 4000 MW or less...and that 4000MW is meant to supply all of Nigeria...200Million of us. And the truth is, we need about 80000MW to at least have light 24/7. Lagos town needs 10000MW for 24/7

And all that costs money.

Yet, we Nigerians won't pay. We chase away DISCO workers , we refuse to pay for power because 'they are cheating us.' And the honest truth is, we are the ones cheating ourselves.

Power has been private since 2014....yet we expect government to provide us power 24/7 on a budget of 20billion dollars...when we need something like 100billion dollars to even fix transmission to modern standards.

The truth is, we are not going to get to that 80000MW...unless we realize that POWER COSTS MONEY.


And another thing....you want your universites to be like UK and Canada university on school fees of less than 300 dollars a month?? Stop making me laugh.

I don't exactly consider it 'righteous' to call an extended family meeting on the hubby on account of this. It would hurt him greatly to have people who ordinarily should defer to him query/probe him for something he would be too ashamed to admit if he is the culprit.

If he is wise and can consider the wider implications of birthing that baby he would confess before it is too late to terminate the pregnancy and at least seek the forgiveness of his wife.

I laugh at those seemingly pious fellows that sat said she should be allowed to give birth so madam could just take/adopt that child as her own. How pedestrian? I can assure such union would never recover from the dislocation the birth of that child would cause /bring.

My take is: the girl should be begged /encouraged to have an abortion to forestall the dangers ahead so everyone could have a closure and look to means to mend the cracks yet.

Is abortion bad? Not at all! Not when it saves you from making your life hell. When it wasn't convenient to have a family, i aborted with my side kick in 2011, but as fate would have it side kick turned wife in 2017 and we have a cute daughter together now.

Let's not make life complicated; it's a simple something!

Rich and successful people don't care about tribe, race or community, they care more about strengthening their financial growth and political dynasty through marriage and business ties, but poor people marry to satisfy their emotion, their ancestors, and to please their community and tribesmen who don't even care about them, and reason they remain poor for too long

Do not listen to this type of diatribe. Very deceptive. How many of those marriage lasts?
