PoliticsRe: IBB - Nailed At Last! by violent(m): 7:27pm On Apr 20, 2010
I doubt anything will be done!

However, if Jonathan is willing to make a firm statement of his stand on corruption, he should pave way for proper investigation and due course!

It will sure go a long way in crushing the back bone of godfatherism in the country!
PoliticsRe: Ibori's Chase: Security/efcc Men Beaten At Oghara Town By Militants - Break/news by violent(m): 4:47pm On Apr 20, 2010
Hardtalk:
My take on this is that, if you pursue some one and you cannot catch him, please let him be. Let him continue running, but justice will catch up on him someday. As for EFCC, they went too far. What if those militants opened fire on them? Jonathan can never send soldiers to the Ijaw nation, to quell any militancy, because that will ruin his government, so let Ibori be for now.
Seriously?

PoliticsRe: CBN Intervention Damaging Economy, Says Gusau by violent(m): 3:41pm On Apr 20, 2010
Funny how some dimwit under whose watch the security of Nigerian people has been known to be continuously threatened, thinks he can sit in an arm chair in Abuja and make credible arguments regarding the economy of the state, and more absurd is the fact that numerous Nairalanders in their low IQ state are quick to feed their pitiful mind with such garbage.

People continue to rant about how crude and ruthless Sanusi was in his electoral reforms, but are too dumb to take note of the fact that if and if the dude decided to fold his arms and pretend just like his predecessor {who fed us with such garbage that Nigeria is immune from a "global crisis} that everything is okay, the kind of crisis we might have witnessed would be have been   lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

It would be way better for the silly general to shut his hole {something he's fond of calling a mouth} up and face more pressing security issues rather than spitting trash about a topic he knows absolutely nothing about.
PoliticsRe: Ig Of Police Onovo Defies Jonathan’s Order To Arrest Ibori ! by violent(m): 1:39pm On Apr 20, 2010
I'm loving this!

My boy Joe, will not condone such impudence, such insolence, such acts of flagrant disobedience to the office of the Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Joe wouldn't accommodate anybody in his administration who would dare spit on and disregard a direct order from him!

Not especially now, when the eyes of the world are kept glued on his administration and how he intends to play out battle against malpractices.

Joey boy, go for em balls, go for Onovo's balls, Ibori's balls, Obasanjo's balls, and then squeeeeze!

PoliticsRe: What Is The Nationality? And What Is Your Nationality? by violent(m): 10:22pm On Apr 19, 2010
why are we having this discussion to begin with?

Peeps that want to discuss nationality, tribes, and other stuff should make their way to the "culture" section, its just down by the corner!

I'd say sack and arrest the security details attached to the airport.

The dude could have been a terrorist for pete's sake!

Its sad the way his life ended though, but it ended on his own terms.

You gotta give him credit as well, he's got tésticles !

OBJ still remain the best we have ever had. Remove sentiment and face the fact. Though there was lapses but his approach open up nigeria. What was on ground before he came in? void! When OBJ was in power we saw the banking system springing up, We saw the oil industry coming in, We saw the advent of telecommunication, We saw job oppurtunities in banks, oil and gas. The guy paid off our dept which we had accrued for many years in just 2 term.

OBJ tackled naija issues with wisdom. He is presentable to the public, he is funny, he add fun anywhere he goes.
For me he did better than all other president put together.

I will cast my vote for this man any time any day if he ever want to be president again because the devil i know is better than the angel i do not know
Forgive me, but i don't quite agree with you

But you are right on the fact that he's funny tho

I can't even remember ever going to an exam center with such a complete stationery

Apparently, it will be shameful for the President to "borrow eraser" during an exam
PoliticsRe: Obj Seen Writing NOUN exam! by violent(m): 11:03am On Apr 19, 2010
So what happens when the President fails the exam?

I bet the President will never fail the exam anyway, else, someone will be loosing his Job!
PoliticsRe: Video Of Nigeria Killings Prompts Outrage, Arrest Of Officers by violent(m): 10:32am On Apr 19, 2010
I'm not sure i should be sad such things happen!. . .

For some of us, that were "privileged" to be exposed to the gory sights of dead baby pictures whose brain matter littered the floor and many other 4-10 year olds who were trapped in their own burning homes, only to run out and be hacked to death in their prime in the recent Jos crisis, we wouldn't be so quick to shed tears for perpetrators of such acts if apprehended and killed by the police in a Jungle Justice, free show shoot out!

Asking for them to be taken to court where they can have access to a lawyer who by crooked means can get them a bail, and likewise exposing them to defunct Judicial system in which cases are known to drag for years, is an insult to the emotions of the family of the victims who will mourn the loss of their loved ones forever.

Don't be so quick to throw stones at me for airing my opinion, i realize taking them to court is the "appropriate" thing to do, but if I were a Police officer, i will deny such animals every right to free trial, it is the least thing they deserve.

why frown at criticisms against his person? this will surely come if anyone chooses to take sides. he can't handle criticisms. simple.
besides, if i am showing idiocy. you must be suffering from grand illusion and self-induced state of false enchantment.
Are you by any means trying to speak some fancy English sir? grin

The moderator has a right to make a choice just like anyone else.

He can post threads, support whoever he wants to.

To claim he can't do that would be to imply that a music moderator must not prefer any type of music, or that a sports moderator should not express any choice of his sport or club, or a celebrity moderator will not have his own favourites.
Its disappointing enough think some will never still be able to comprehend this rather simple and elaborate explanation. . .

so he can do and undo when it relates to him. how many posts or attacks in politics section has he deleted when they don't relate to him?none of your comments here has been against the action of kosovo.

you will soon get that moderating post you so desperately want.
Oh lemme guess, the fact that i'm not joining this unnecessary rantings against some moderators merely exercising his freedom to post means i'm desperate to become a mod?

some folks amuse me with their unimaginable high levels of idiocy!. . .
PoliticsRe: A Protest To Seun about kosovo! by violent(m): 12:04am On Apr 19, 2010
ola olabiy:
moderating and deleting those posts that go against him personally?
Beaf:
There lies the key! A moderator cannot be extreme, otherwise how can they moderate? How can their decisions be unbiased?
Kosovo is guilty of undue promotion of IBB. That is called abuse of power.

Where are the people that complained about RichyBlack. Talk about frying pan to fire!
I don't see him moderating nairaland to suit the interest of his political beliefs.

All he's done so far is to open thread just like any other Nairalander, and like most people do, he expressed his opinions on such threads, that's not even wrong!

Every individual has the right to form their own opinions, and not withstanding their position, they should be free to air their personal opinion!

The fact that he's a moderator doesn't necessarily mean he shouldn't have his voice heard, if you don't agree with him, simply walk past and open your own thread.

If i moderate the food section and i open a thread about my love for cassava, if you don't like cassava, then don't bother looking through my thread, it only becomes wrong if i use my position to suppress your thread unduely

And for the guy complaining his post got deleted, you really should check here again, and while you are at it, i recommend you take closer look at the last statement

ola olabiy:
what about deleting posts abitrarily?
I wouldn't be in so much haste to support his deleting post arbitrarily, except of course i know what the content of such post.

It is in his duty as a moderator to delete any of such post that he believes does not conform to nairaland rules, that's why he's appointed as a moderator, a moderator moderates!
PoliticsRe: A Protest To Seun about kosovo! by violent(m): 11:34pm On Apr 18, 2010
Would you call for his removal as a mod if he had expressed his support for Jonathan instead?

People should really learn to put some emotions aside before clicking the "Log in" button

. . . . i bet someone is about to call me Seun!
PoliticsRe: A Protest To Seun about kosovo! by violent(m): 11:31pm On Apr 18, 2010
The fact that he's a mod doesn't stop him from airing his own views.

Let's stop being sentimental peeps!

He's not going to force you to vote IBB, he hasn't placed a sticker campaigning for IBB, and neither has he locked down any topic that supports other presidential aspirants.

Its simply a right to and freedom of speech.
