Meldrick:The Government failed in its responsibility to provide an enabling environment? YES! Have the student gone out of their way to learn the basic things to develop themselves? NO! As a student, you hold a higher responsibility than the government does in making yourself a better person. A computer science student that waits for the government to deliver computers to his class without necessarily deeming it fit to go out of his way is lazy and shouldn't even be studying the course to begin with. As an undergraduate, i have had cause to deny myself of basic luxury to register for courses in fields were i believe will eventually benefit me in the near future. It becomes distasteful that an average student will rather spend money buying cloths and other luxury items than invest in his/her development, all they do is wait for the government. . . .bullshyt! I have friends who studied computer engineering but since the school lacks the basic infrastructures to train them properly, this same people went out of their way to learn software programming and hardware configuration, if anything it shows you are passionate about your career! for chrissake, this is an age where even five year olds don't have an excuse for being a computer illiterate, it's outrageous that university graduate are! |
My younger Sister told me of how all the graduates from a particular institution was ejected from the camp because most of them were struggling to fill some forms.I curse institutions that produced such students, the leadership of NUC has failed miserably! |
Meldrick:Silly damn silly mentality!. . This is what happens when people don't have anyone to blame for their inefficiencies, the government is the easiest and most convenient enemy! . . .how about you take a larger share of the responsibility, No? For crying out loud, there are cyber cafes littered all around costing just a little over 100 naira an hour, there are independent computer classes that cost less that 3000 naira a month, what you need sir, is initiative!. . . . it's shameful that even my 68 year old neighbor knows how to do common things on the computer, although he never had access to one as a student. Face it, Nigerian students are too sluggish and lazy. . .all they think about is how to get rich overnight, no one bothers to actually learn! |
Absolute rubbish. Did they train them properly? were the machines easy to operate? were they fit for purpose. This is just plain nonsese, because the writing was on the wall weeks before, but silly INEC failed to see anything. Are you by any means saying it's too much of a high expectation for graduates to be able to operate a damn laptop?. . . for sam's sake, it's just a damn laptop, how the hell did this people complete their final year projects without using one? and people complain of high unemployment rates? Naija is phucked!. . . Generation phucked! |
@OP Work on your self esteem, then walk up to her and ask if she'd be free for lunch on a weekend, or maybe watch a movie. . . it doesn't matter what you say, it's the confidence and the cocky nature that wins the game in the end! {just go with a mind that you don't care if she accepts or not, you are just having fun} but whatever you do, don't try stúpid lines or jokes and if she does or says something silly, tell her to her face how dumb you think it sounds!. . .you need to know that many girls will try to impress you as well, it's a human thing, no one likes to feel stúpid! |
Mobinga:what kind of evidence are you asking for? Sahara Reporters provided enough already, it is the responsibility of appropriate offices including the house of assembly to probe the validity and credibility of these evidences, not mine! However, here's an extract from the Goodlusk Jonathan's rigging manual, i suggest you take some time to read through the entire manual iself

I wonder why he is even running?because he has a constitutionally protected right to do so because he has demonstrated a zero tolerance to corruption while serving as the president of EFCC because he has enough exposure serving as consultants to governments of foreign states on corruption issues because as a trained lawyer he understands the innings of the national constitution and has demonstrated a resolve to abide by it because he has demonstrated an interest to always put the national interest above personal interest because political experience is not only obtained by being in a politically appointed role, serving as a leader in a public office is enough to provide you with as much political experience you require |
ITEM 7:The size of the fight? listen and ask yourself if you are making any sense at all!. . when murder suspects are set free just to add to winning numbers at primaries, it becomes a game of "parapoism", one that is dangerous for our democratic system. Also, i noticed no one questioned where goodluck's organisation obtained the money it spent conniving individual delegates to vote at the primaries , . . . . all dunderheads could think of is the size of the fight!. . .which fight? Peharps you should be the one shutting the fvck up sir? |
Kobojunkie:Lack of Political experience and Lack of independent will are never the same and should not be used synonymously. Bankole was merely in his mid thirties, and a businessman before taking up the role of the speaker of the house of assembly . . . Although I agree with you that leaders with a proven record along with measurable integrity is ideal in this case, the truth is none of the alternatives to Ribadu can boast of a solid record to be proud of. The country suffered massive decay under their belts stemming from ill informed decisions, it will be foolhardy and dangerous for democracy to call them back to office simply because they had the experience. I remember Buhari's regime, who doesn't? People were flogged on the streets like animals and many others were jailed for spurious reasons. We lived in fear in our own country under the monsters of the duo of Generals BUHARI and IDI AGBON. The same government changed Naira and encouraged all the thieves to bring in money through the back door until 32 suite cases full of naira was found on the Emir of Guwandu and government of General Buhari through Major Jakolo (the dethroned Emir of Guwandu) took the money away but the journalists were too afraid to put their names on the news. General Buhari played double standard with the trust we had in him. Two set of laws, one for the poor and second for the powerful Emirs of the North. Will the same man believe in the right of Children, Rights of Women, Freedom of Information, state and City police, mayoral system of govt for our cities, compulsory life insurance for all users of public transports and those employed as drivers and security? Is this what we call a proven track record? It is only logical that as rational beings, when presented with an impossible case of two or more evils, we best go for the less evil one. . . In this case, i will rather go for a man who although had the opportunities of amassing wealth overnight, choose to ignore that for the good of country and man! |
Interesting debate! The all conquering (albeit mistaken) corruption killer, Ribadu cannot fight corruption in high places!Ribadu has no political experience, question is so what? Peharps it is high time we stopped attempting to solve a problem with the same thought process that caused it. We had in the past leaders with political experience whose success can only be measured by their loot size and the number of high profile political assassinations that took place under their belt. It's totally absurd that some Nigerians will rather their President have portfolio of political experience than character or integrity. . . where the hell has our senses vanished to?. . .we keep asking for change and yet we keep asking that those who contributed to being a part of the problem come back into power, are we thinking at all? |
Goodluck Jonathan's Presidency has proven to be a total sham!. . .his PDPerian style of leadership is not much different from the previous administration's approach mostly highlighted with unquenchable thirst for power and a personal interest in the national purse. His character has also been badly affected to the extent where reasonable and smart Nigerians will rather believe the earth is flat than believe the first three statements that proceeds from his mouth. The moments that led up to election has proven beyond measures that the dude even though experienced in political affairs lacks the basic elements of quality leadership and agility. We all have read news about how the President once blamed an unfortunate bomb blast on "Northern elements", a claim which till date lacks credibility. . . .more news of how Mr Jonathan spent the National resources recklessly importing dustbins, celebrating anniversaries, bribing delegates, bribing individuals and groups, all directed towards a selfish political end, . . to add to the fury, this same character has refused to deliver on his promise of fighting corruption, rather, the Haliburton probe report was thrown to the bins, and murder suspects set free, solely to add to his winning numbers at the PDP primaries. These and more portrays the incumbent as a man without clear directions and one afraid to step on toes even if it meant for the good of man and country. How anyone will wish for this man to remain in power for another four years is beyond me, simply because he promised infrastructures and federalism. . .Hell, even the late Yaradua promised a 7 point agenda! |
Jakumo:I dub thee Sir Jakumo of Nairaland! Your poem is off the hook, i particularly liked the Buhari is bound to loose, sounds like music to my ears, great music! |
He was probably saying; Who is your daddy now?lol |
Some spent billions importing dustbins, others built railways, clearly posterity will Judge all who who came, saw and looted! Eko o ni baje jor! |
Let's get it trending on twitter. . .Fúck the old die hard politicians who see the treasury as a birthright, and by that I am talking about the combination of Buhari+GEJ+IBB+OBJ+OGD !!!. . .they all should stick their experience where the sun don't shine! |
Timehin:Shut up! pray tell, what good has come out of those with decades of experience in politics? Political experience got us here to begin with, you lots need to stop thinking with your noses! I will rather cast my vote for a man who has refused to be tempted with the spoils of office, than a man who foolishly spent a billion importing dustbins. . . .i wish to God morons are excluded from voting, perhaps that's where the change we all clamor for ought to begin from! |
^^^ i had the same reaction mate, talk about free and fair elections |
Photonews from the Delta rerun; Is this ever going to change in their near future? Is anyone going to be questioned for destroying valuable documents such as voters cards that could serve as evidence and should be secured like a bank's vault? What is the value of a vote in Nigeria? How free and fair is our electoral process? and someone still think the Delta State rerun isn't a sham?

luvinhubby:and how is it not a garbage?. . .a garbage is simply what it is, a garbage! |
The precre-la-deprecre i read on this gyraise portrays Hon Obahigbon as a jargonist whose la-communicade is enveloped in a world of ruiphelism! To this, I take an exception. If anything, Hon Obahigbon is a luxurious, solemn Engerrish speaker, whose persionage malandbrity is held in the highest regard, even by passionate surbodinates. It's only in a sadonic state of the world engulfed in an euphoria of political parapoism that such vila-de-fendi of a hero is uncelebrated By the way, can anyone perspicaciously and with celerity call the attention of Kosovo to this thread? |
who's laughing?
|
undeleted! |
The late boy's name is ThankGod? |
haha we are getting desperate. . . .anything for a vote, even that of criminals! . . . .go Jonathan, we love you! |
I believe sitting officials have also enjoy immunity in Nigeria and so it was highly unlikely they could have gotten at him while he was in office . .This is more of a case of noticeable flaws in the constitution and provisions of the code of conduct tribunal. It doesn't provide guidelines for the trial and prosecution of individuals that are not holding Public offices. Those subsections highlighted in my earlier posts provided the impositions and powers granted to the code of conduct tribunal, and it wouldn't be legal for the Police or the EFCC to take this case to trial as it is not within the jurisdictions of such bodies The Tribunal has within its powers to request the impeachment of the Governor while in office, the state house of assembly is well empowered to carry out this function, and the governor's immunity clause does not exempt him from impeachment proceedings. |
However, i doubt if much could be achieved from prosecution of Tinubu in this case, as he no longer holds a public position and the provisions on the code of conduct bureau does not give much allowance to prosecution of individuals outside a public office. In the worst case scenario, the dude will be told to forfeit some of his properties to the state. (2) The punishment which the Code of Conduct Tribunal may impose shall include any of the following - (a) vacation of office or seat in any legislative house, as the case may be; (b) disqualification from membership of a legislative house and from the holding of any public office for a period not exceeding ten years; and (c) seizure and forfeiture to the State of any property acquired in abuse or corruption of office I will like to see how this play out, exposing Tinubu will most likely lead to a ripple that will eventually birth a political Tsunami. It's a win win situation for all those who mean well for the country. |
To my knowledge, there's no suggestion there is stolen money in these accts, hence the reason efcc decided to pursue further investigations in 2007You don't need to prove that he stole funds, the fact that he allegedly maintained foreign accounts while in office provides sufficient grounds for prosecution. |
This is sadonic! the willow-the-wisp of the ruling cabar have started their epileptic parapoism! |
