You have been given good advice already.

If you notice, nairaland dwells a lot on the negatives of things. Bad news draws more traffic which means more money for the site. It thrives on shocking news, e-wars and unending arguments. Without this nairaland will be hard pressed to move forward. I will advice you log off for a while and look at the people around you. Realize what you want and go for it. Marriage comes as a natural inclination, a natural yearning. It isn't meant to be forced on anyone.

When you see the person that "completes you", you'll be the one yearning for marriage. I believe you are still a young chap and have a lot of experiences to gather in life. Don't worry so much about it.

If it will help I can give you a link to one of my old topics(see link below). But i still say the best way to overcome this attitude is to stop reading all these negative articles on marriage that abound on nairaland, strive to attain your goals, make healthy friendly relationships with the opposite sex and marriage will come along naturally.

Back then,as a lad I used to fantasized,loved,and craved for the idea of becoming a man,get MARRIED which will make me a happy fulfilled person,I said to myself that I won't have coit*s with any woman until i get married. But now, the zeal have declined, I dread the institution MARRIAGE. Someone told me it is GAMOPHOBIA "Fear of Marriage". That is by the way.

What climaxed this Fear more was when I read an article here on nairaland by killjoy "SEVEN REASONS GUYS SHOULD NEVER GET MARRIED". I was stricken by his point and felt he was talking to me. Well, I want to believe the institution of marriage was created for good and not for suffering.
